They were very reasonable. The man was very quick, efficient and clean.

As I said, I accidentally got a clorox magic wand cleaning pad sucked up into my toilet. They were very courteous when I called and they said that they could have someone at my house the next day, which was no problem. I received a call as they said I would and it was Mark. He said he'd be there in about 20 minutes and he was here on time. I explained my problem to him and he went right to work on it. He ran an auger through my toilet and had my toilet working again about 10 minutes later. I really enjoyed my overall experience with Armstrong Plumbing and I'd definitely recommend them to anyone.

Anderson traced the problem to the recent trench dug in the street. More importantly, the serviceman (Milton) called the City of Sacramento for me and pled my case, that the problem was obviously due to the City's recent work and that they, the City should pay for it. Due to Milton's time spent on the phone and his follow-up, the City came out within a few hours and dug up the street and fixed the sewer pipe which they had indeed damaged when they had done the recent work. Not only did Milton call the City, give the City his number for them to call him back, but on his own came back around by my house and upon seeing the City workers, stopped and spoke with them explaining everything again. The City not only fixed the problem, but agreed to reimburse me for the plumbing bills I had only incurred.

He came out and gave me a quote. He told me that there was a crack in the actual pipe, but the next guy that came out from another company said that there is no way he can tell if there is a crack in the pipe just by looking down the drain. He said that he was probably trying to do extra work and getting extra money out of me. I would not use him based on what I have heard from the other company. I was pleased with the fact that he came when he said he would come. He was on time. He seemed professional. I did not like the quote he gave me because it was very high. He wanted $475 to do the work. I thought that was a little pricey. In person, everything seemed fine.

The estimator was very nice, professional, knowledgeable and accessible I would give him all As. The plumber was nice and the finished product is good. He didn't seem to know much about installing my particular system and I had to read instructions to him about the water softener and R/O systems. He soldered on my driveway and left little pieces of metal which I had to scrape up by hand and some of the smaller ones I could not remove. I had some problems(not caused by installation but by my particular configuration) with the reverse osmosis system which the estimator made sure were resolved afterward.

They came right out and were very professional. They were great.

My toilet's valve was broken, and I had called midday to try to schedule an appointment at their next available time. I stated the urgency of needing the toilet fixed, and they scheduled me for the following morning, as soon as they could. A few hours later, I received a call from them and they offered to come squeeze me in and fix the toilet within the hour! I was thrilled! Their service was amazing, they are extremely thoughtful and thorough, and I would HIGHLY recommend them :) also, the $20 off coupon from Angie's List wasn't too shabby, either.

They did a really excellent job. They had to really dig to get to the line, it was a lot of work. They were here promptly and started work right away. They were also professional and very nice to me.

This is the second time we have used Armstrong Plumbing, and I have no complaints. I called at 8:00 am and someone was able to come by within 3 hours. The cleanout in the backyard was starting to back up, although we had no problems inside the house (yet.) They came and snaked the sewer line to the back fence, where the main line is. They were professional and friendly. I was able to use an Angie's List coupon as well, so that was great!

Mark came out on a Sunday and cleaned out the drains. While Mark was here he also installed a new kitchen sink facet and replaced a sink drain. He doubled checked his work for leaks. Didn't try and find 'new' problems but took care of the ones we knew we had.

Good company, will use them again in the future.

Called the office and spoke to Matt to try for an appointment. They were booked solid for the day, but Matt said he would see if he could work us in somehow. A few hours later, Matt called back and had someone on the way. Less than 20 minutes George arrived. We were pleased that he used shoe covers to come into the house. He assessed the problem, and promptly fixed the clog. George was very professional and very cordial. Couldn't have asked for better service.

I've used Armstrong Plumbing twice before and had great results, so I expected and received great service again. They were able to schedule an appointment promptly (the next day) after my tenants reported the dishwasher drainiage problem. The tech arrived on time and was both professional and friendly. He promptly investigated the problem, but could not find any blockages in the air vent or house's other drainage-associated plumbing. He determined that the problem was in the dishwasher itself rather than in the plumbing, so he suggested that I call an appliance repairman. Because I've been a good customer in the past, he didn't charge me for the service call. That was extremely considerate because he would have been completely justified in charging me for the call. I plan to remain a repeat customer of Armstrong Plumbing.

We needed a new toilet installed and George did a great job. He was on time, very courteous, and very professional. When he removed the old toilet, he found roots coming through the slab and brought it to my attention. He said he would cut the roots out and then treat them with a solution that would hopefully preevnt them from growing back. He made sure to tell me that there wasn't a guarantee that the roots would never grow back, which I knew, but I was glad he was honest with me. He was very thorough and when he was done, the bathroom was cleaned up nicely. He asked me to call if there were any problems (leaks, etc.) in the next several days and said that if that were the case, he'd be right back out to fix it. I would recommend this company to anyone. It definitely helped to have a 10% off coupon though. All in all, a job well done.

The service was all good. They were fast and they did the job very well. I am totally satisfied!

The most difficult thing in any service event is to find the balance of timing to make things smooth. Milton was easy to work with in deciding when to do the repair and agreed to make a free estimate ... he found the problem so quickly that it only cost the standard rate for a service call. A win-win for both of us.

I moved into an older house that needed a lot of renovations (most of which are referenced in my other reviews). Wasn't in the place but a couple months when the new Bosch dishwasher wouldn't drain. Was it the plumbing or the dishwasher? I use Zajic's for appliance repair but took a guess that it was the plumbing and called Armstrong. Good call. George figured out right away where the blockage was (50-plus years of crud) and got the pipe open. He is the BEST. This is the second time he has worked a miracle on old pipes. Nicest man, too. Can't go wrong with George and Armstrong Plumbing!

I only had my main line be cleaned once a year. I dislike using Armstrong Plumbing for my plumbing needs because they are a good company. Anyway, they are just excellent over all.

I found Armstrong plumbing here on Angie's list and have used them multiple times. They are prompt and professional. If they can not make their time frame they call and let you know. Their plumbers are very experiences and I feel comfortable and secure with them performing my plumbing needs. I will continue to keep using them for all my needs and will definately recommend them to everyone I know.

Extremely creepy experience. Needed a plumber to fix 3 fixtures, a kitchen sink-mounted drinking water dispenser with low pressure, a soap dispenser also on the sink that had come loose, and a leaking shower fixture. On the strength of recommendations on Angie's List I called Armstrong Plumbing on Friday. Gentleman who answers says he can't get someone to my house til Monday. I say ok and we set up a time. I do not recall any mention of a $110 diagnostic fee. On Monday, at the time agreed upon, two men arrive. One is in a uniform, the other is dressed all in black. What the relationship is between the two is unclear to me. Uniformed guy says "i dont know if they told you on the phone but there is a $110 diagnostic fee." Nope...but I say ok. Doesnt seem unreasonable to bill for the evaluation. I show the guys each of the fixtures and explain the problems. They return to their truck for what seems a long time, then come back in (without knocking). I am expecting a written estimate but uniformed guy is instead holding a spiral binder with pre-printed options. They are: platinum, gold, silver, bronze and band-aid. Uniform guy explains that for $859 he will fully check out my kitchen sink and all the fixtures attached to it and provide me with a 2 year warranty for all repairs. This is much more than I expect and I say so. I tell them that kitchen is recently remodeled and I don't understand why they think everything attached to it needs to be fully evaluated. No obvious answer to that. I ask if this includes repair of the leaky shower fixture. No. Uniformed guy turns page. There is a other pre-printed list of options from platinum to band-aid. Full service repair of leaky shower fixture is another $850, with warranty. I am perplexed. He can't seem to explain to me what he thinks is wrong with any of these fixtures, or why I should spend $1700 for this platinum service. Even the "band-aid" service for all three fixtures is $500 combined. The moniker itself is clearly meant to imply poor choice. I tell the guys I'm uncomfortable with the Olympic Medal style of pricing and press for more specific results from the diagnostic evaluation I was told I'd be paying for up front. Neither guy seemed prepared to provide much in the way of details, other than to respond to very specific questions from me. For example, I asked if they could secure the soap dispenser with caulk or plumber's glue and was told that was a "handyman type" repair that wouldn't last. As for the shower head, when I asked if it just needs a new o ring, uniform guy says no for sure it's not that. I tell the two guys that I am really not comfortable with this, that it is very different from other bids I've gotten for service and that I'm fairly certain that even at the band-aid level of service they would not be here for 5 hours, which is what I'm guessing would equate to $500 of service. I tell them that for $500, and certainly for less than $1700, I could replace all three problematic fixtures entirely. Dressed in black guy starts explaining fixed and variable cost structures to me. Hmmm. I've had enough. Tell the guys I'm really uncomfortable and will pay my $110 diagnostic fee, minus my Angie's List coupon discount and call it a day. Dressed in black guy agrees to waive diagnostic fee. Whole experience was very unsettling. Felt like these guys saw an easy mark. And were perhaps casing my house.

I had a different plumbing company out 3 weeks earlier. The first company did basically the same thing but charged me more money and didn't do the job right. My toilet started to leak from the bottom because the first plumber didn't set it back evenly and then basically shoved the clog further down the pipes so my shower would take about 10 minutes to drain. Mark from Armstrong Pluming got here around 8:00 am and was done by 9:30 am; he cleared out my clogged shower pipes, it drains perfectly now; he reset my toilet so it no longer leaks and used a longer lasting part so it's not a temporary fix; and changed my shower head. I've never been fully happy at the end of a plumbing job before.......this is the first. Mark took pride in doing the job well and didn't rush it but still did it quickly. I'll definitely use them in the future and have already recommended them to family and friends.
