I called them and they came that day. I had the parts and they fixed everything right away. Danny was the serviceman and he was really good.

I need a re-pipe on my large home in Serrano. We have defective plumbing called Kitec that needed to be replaced. I called Armstrong and two men came out and looked in the attic to verify I did have the defective plumbing. They were very nice, but seemed unsure about the job and what would be involved in re-piping my home. They also said they would only put two men on it and it would take two weeks. They charged me $150 for the estimate, but I did not receive it as promised within three days. I texted the man who came out to ask where the estimate was and I never got a reply. When I called to find out what happened to my estimate about 10 days later, I talked with a very nice woman in the office who promised it to me. She did apologize and say they were unusually busy. I was absolutely shocked when I got the estimate a couple of days later. Not only was it just an estimate attached to an email without any paragraph with a greeting and explanation, but it was a sky high price. It was actually 3 1/2 times higher than any other estimate we had gotten. The estimate was for $67,000, which didn't include any sheet rock, tape texture or tile repair. I didn't bother with calling them for an explanation as I assumed by giving me this price they didn't want to do the job and/or they didn't know what they were doing. They also said they would have to rip out tile in three of my bathrooms, which included the vanity tops as they are attached. This plumbing repipe and subsequent remodeling of my bathrooms would have cost me over $100,000 in that case! I ended up paying $19,000 including sheet rock repair, taping and texturing and no tile had to be ripped out at all. Armstrong never followed up with a phone call or email to ask if I had any questions about the estimate. I think the whole transaction was very unprofessional and they were the only ones that charged me for an estimate. I was surprised at all of this being they have such a good ratings on Angie's list.

Service was good, he had some problem with the seal but he gave a good service

We had Armstrong come out to fix a clogged toilet last week. They charged us $150 just to come out and look at the problem. After a couple mins, they told us that we had roots in our pipes and they were not equipped to handle this situation and they would need to call in a second party to fix the situation. After they informed us of this, they asked for payment. (We had a coupon for them but he would not accept and told us we had to inform them over the phone first. Nowhere on the coupon does it say that nor did they inform us on the phone we had to tell them of coupons beforehand. Coupon literally says, "Armstrong Plumbing Plumbing-$20 off to Angie's List Members. Please print coupon and present at time of service. please do not combine with other offers. And then he was gone and our bathroom was left a mess with root debris inside the toilet bowl and roots and toilet water all over our bathroom floor. He also left our bathroom door (which leads outside) wide open. In the end, we paid a ridiculous amount of money with no solution unless we were willing to pay even MORE to have someone ELSE come and do the job. We wanted a second opinion so we called Boyd Plumbing and the people of Boyd came out to us to look at the problem FOR FREE and then proceeded to fix the problem within 20 min. When we explained what happened with Armstrong, he was confused as to why a plumping company wasn't able to fix our simple plumbing issue. He worked hard and nonstop for a couple of hours, explaining things throughout his time here to us, making sure we understood what was going on. He also cleaned our bathroom of the mess made by his work, and did not leave it dirty like Armstrong did. But Boyd only charged for the services performed and not a per hour rate like Armstrong.

They snaked the lines and tested the drain and it's working fine. They were courteous, friendly and professional. I highly recommend them.

They worked hard and completed the installation well. Our new water heater continues to work well and without issues. We would recommend Armstrong to others. Our only request is that they do a better job of being careful and keep their work area (our floor, casing, etc.) cleaner.

Very well. Technician was professional and personable, and got the work done quickly and with minimal damage to the stucco. It's always a little dangerous to recommend a contractor to a friend, but Armstrong came through for me.

All visits were great. Efficient, I learned new things to watch/care for and each person was very professional and likeable.

Russell is a bona fide professional. I went through two plumbing companies that quoted me work upwards of $1700 for simply pushing a small piece of plastic, which was causing a stoppage, through my shower's pipe into main pipe that flushes out of my home. Russell performed a simple snaking procedure and confirmed with his camera that the piece was indeed out of the pipe. This was approximately 15 minutes worth of work, not the laborious intensive procedures that two other plumbers quoted. If you have a stoppage, I encourage you to at least have Armstrong Plumbing scope the problem. It saved me quite a bit of money to do so.

Our (non-functional) hard water softening system was leaking. I was hoping for complete removal of the system, but feared it would be too complicated and costly. Michael from Armstrong came out on a Saturday morning, one hour after I called for an appointment. He said it would be easier to remove the system than to fix the leak... Thank goodness! He re-routed the pipes and even hauled away the system! Armstrong is the 4th plumber we've called for various jobs but Armstrong will be the first I hire back for the next job we need completed.

They were extremely professional and clean. They were concerned about not tracking anything inside the house. They showed up right within the time they gave me.

We weren't afraid to work together. The deal wasn't available when I could be home. They called promptly after I purchased my deal and tried to work with me as much as they could. The staff was very friendly. I would consider this business if I was able.

I was very clear in my message to Armstrong Plumbing that I simply wanted a new water spigot in the backyard and that I have a small house with a raised foundation. This should be and easy job for any plumber to to do. They were prompt in their reply and the guy showed up as agreed. Good marks. Please tell me why his first suggestion was digging up my driveway? I have a raised foundation! My house has 8 steps you walk up to get to the front door. Its pretty obvious. When I took him under the house and showed him what I wanted he told me that wasn't his specialty and he couldn't give me a quote. So you're not a plumber? Thanks for wasting my time Armstrong!

Everything is great, still have my vintage plumbing and it all seems to be working well.

Servicers worked on kitchen faucet and replaced drain. Kitchen sink still has leaks and faucet still doesn't work correctly. Servicers left saying they didn't have the parts for the bathroom project or to finish the faucet and would contact me within the week to finish work. After two months I received a call stating they had the parts and asking if I'd like to receive a written quote. I received the quote via email. I responded via email stating I'd like them to do the work in the master bathroom but needed assurance the kitchen sink would be repaired properly first. I've not heard from them. It has now been nearly six months. I've replaced the faucet myself and I will do the remaining repairs my self. I find this worthless behavior to be very typical of contractors. Whatever your issue, just fix it yourself.

Service was very good! Excellent job! They picked up after themselves. I'm very satisfied with the work they did.

I would shop around. I don’t know the competition is out there. I used him because he was the one that got back to me right away.

First did not return call for 2 days. Then finally called back after I repeatedly attempted to contact. Then set up appointment and they never showed. I called to ask what was going on and they said it wasn't in the plumber's calendar, but he was on his way. He showed up dud some measurements (we were installing a gas line), says he'd go back to the office and email us an estimate. Never did. I guess they did not want our business.

They showed up. They did a good job. They were on time.

within 10 minutes after getting set up, the drain was cleared. higher priced than others, but i was confident that it would get done quickly based on other reviews.

went fine, but took a little longer than thought

Excellent. This guy saved our lives. Had clogged drain at 11pm, he got there in a couple of hours and fixed it. We are saving his information and he will be our regular plumber.
