They were very good and I was pleased with them

I was anxious to get someone out to fix the disposal since it had broken the night before I left for a 10-day trip and was pretty smelly. I called late on a Wed. afternoon, and Armstrong was able to send out a workman on Friday. Joseph was on time, and quickly figured out that the disposal could not be repaired. He had brought out several different types with him so I could quickly decide which model to choose. He very efficiently replaced the broken disposal and made sure the new one was functioning. At my request, he took the broken one away to dispose of.

The 'estimator' appeared to be an experienced plumber. He was on time and professional. He even took a call from the owner's son who was at a job site doing a job that challenged him. I didn't mind that but during the phone call it was clear he was mentoring the owner's son. When he gave me an estimate for the job of OVER $1000.00, I nearly fainted. THE ESTIMATE WAS NEARLY 3 TIMES THE ONLY OTHER ESTIMATE I GOT WHICH WAS FROM LOWE'S.

I called Armstrong Plumbing on 8/1/13 and identified myself as an Angies List member and asked for an estimate to have some plumbing work done. The estimator showed up on the scheduled date of Monday 8/5/13 and I walked him through everything that I need done. He took a number of photos and told me that he would provide a written estimate in two days . A week later, after hearing nothing more from the estimator I called Armstrong and explained that I had not heard back from the estimator and asked that he be reminded to get back to me. I was told that he would be given the message that afternoon. The person I spoke with confirmed my address and phone number. It is now two weeks later, three weeks after the estimator came to my house and I have not heard a single word from anyone at Armstrong Plumbing. Fortunately I had realized a week ago that Armstrong was not particularly dependable or reliable so I called two other plumbers from Angie's List and both provided estimates immediately before leaving my house. Needless to say, I will not be hiring Armstrong to do any plumbing jobs at my house and I will not recommend them to anyone.

The consultation was very helpful and informative. The consultation regarded the advantages and disadvantages of trenchless sewage lines and also regarded information that had already been provided by other plumbers along with rates. Overall I was very happy with this consultation and felt that the information provided was reasonable, fair and accurate.

Mark showed up on time. He was polite and did the job in a short time. He was well prepared to install the new faucet.

When a service company cant give me a straight answer on a routine job, my radar goes up. I know a decent home-use disposal is around $100 and found another reputable plumber who quoted me $298 installed w/1/2 hp Badger 5 without having to ask where the disposal is located.

I have to say that Armstrong Plumbing started out poorly with me, but they made it right and I am satisfied. First, they made me sign a contract and send them a deposit before they would schedule any work. I felt this was not a good start, but, so be it. I signed the contract and sent in the deposit. Then, after I had to chase them with phone calls, I reach their scheduler. He says, "Oh, I am scheduling the day you want right now. We are confirmed." I respond, ok, I'll take a vacation day to be home when the work it done. Fast forward to the day the work was scheduled. By 9am it was clear no one was coming. I called them and had to wait on hold for 10 minutes to speak with Michelle, their scheduler. She says they have nothing on their schedule and the guy I spoke with is out today. She will have to call me back in a few minutes. An hour later, she still has not called back. I call and wait on hold another 10 minutes. When I do speak with her, she claims that the guy I spoke with says he never spoke with me and left me several messages. This infuriated me. It is bad enough to just not show up, but then to not admit to the mistake and try to make it right is just plain silly. What purpose does it serve to tell me I must be mistaken? At that point, they made no offer to make it right so I said that I would like to have someone there the next day or they could cancel the contract. Well, that did the trick. I got a call back from a manager and he committed to having someone there the next day. The team of two guys arrived on time, did the work quickly and with high quality. The workers who showed up were great and the "make it right" plan turned me into a satisfied customer. I would work with them again.

We returned from vacation to loud knocking and vibrations whenever we turned on water in the house. When we called Armstrong Plumbing, we were initially advised to try turning on all the faucets and letting the water run for 20 minutes. Although we appreciated the advice, which would have negated the need for a service all, but unfortunately letting the water run didn't solve the problem. When we called Armstrong Plumbing back, they made an appointment for us for the following day. Milton came out punctually and determined the problem was the pressure regulator. Unfortunately, the regulator we had was not one that could simply be replaced. Milton took the regulator we had, purchased another that was as close as he could find, and modified it for our system. It took some time, but the problem was solved. No more knocking and vibration. We were very happy with the service we received. Milton was clearly competent and very professional. We felt the price was fair, considering the time and work that went into fixing the problem We would definitely hire Armstrong Plumbing again.

Laird showed up at my door and was very professional. He introduced himself by name and quickly reassured me that he could help me with my problem. Our hot water hose had busted under the kitchen sink and we had hot water everywhere. He was able to get everything under control and change the broken parts with no difficulty. He fit me into an already busy schedule without so much as one complaint. He also was able to clean my bathroom sinks and shower drains so that they were draining quickly again. He made sure everything was clean when he left with a smile on his face the whole time.

First they answered the phone after dark on Thursday night and were nice. Next morning call re details and they scheduled service window from 2 to 5. We were without any water or drain use so we appreciated help that day. Later they called to say they could come early!! Thank God for George, the senior member of the team, who remembered being at our home in the 1990's! We live in East Sac (think older infrastructure and 100 year old redwoods...and roots). The city has no record of the location of our sewer line. Based on sidewalk "S," it probably runs under a wide driveway. Roof access to the line was ruled out (new CALOSHA rules + max 2" pipes up there). George carefully evaluated the whole situation including LOTS of probing in our front yard and courtyard looking for the main line. We had visions of having to excavate the driveway. George went under the house and proposed a "redo" of that piping to add a 4" clean out with very easy access right at a crawl space entrance for future needs. Off they went for parts...within hours we had clear drains, could turn our water on, and have a readily usable clean out point. George and his partner were super thorough, communicated with us as they did their investigation/assessment, worked tirelessly, and left us better off than we'd been before the whole episode. Thank George for ingenuity, experience, smarts. Our lawn, landscaping, and driveway didn't need to be touched. We'll be using Armstrong for regular "servicing" from now on.

They are always courteous and explain the issue thoroughly. My mom is 95 years old and they are always kind and accommodating. I implicitly trust them after repeated work that they have done on this older home. It is rare to find people that your trust and that don't attempt to take advantage of an older person. I appreciate the care, excellent work and consistency with which they provide service. I never worry that she is being mislead or overcharged.

This was the third time we have used Armstrong Plumbing. They have always done a good job. This time they fixed the water heater that stopped working in our rental home. They responded quickly and acted professionally. I would not hesitate to use their services again.

They were amazingly courteous, punctual and well worth the price. They educated me on the process and that's very important to me.

I found the person to be timely, professional, efficient and friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to call this company again.

He arrived promptly and, using a special device, was able to overcome the problem with the toilet.

Got to our rental home two hours after I called and completed the job right away. Our renters were happy and so were we. He stopped leak in hallway heater added part and capped it.

the provider was initially gruff and short tempered when answering questions, but he settled down, did his job, took on last minute additional service requests and answered all our questions. He was extremely knowledgable and we were ultimately very pleased with his performance. He did not show for his initial appointment, but when the office staff called us about his non-appearance things got turned around very quickly and the job got done beautifully. After the service we were contacted to be sure we were happy with the job done. After talking to the tech we thought it best to go ahead and send a camera down the line but he did not have the equiipment available. We have not scheduled that service yet, but would bring them back again.

The serviceman was punctual, communicated well and did a good job. He also cleaned up after himself.

The experience was very good. I didn't have any problems. The quote was right and it has worked fine. I didn't compare their prices. I've used them since then.

George was great. He snaked the drain and was in and out in 30 mins. Quickly unclogged the drain with no extra unnecessary services. Was very polite and got right to work.

They were wonderful. They came out on a very short notice. They gave me a free estimate. They got back to me quickly for the job. They came in less than the original estimate that they gave me. The original estimate was $600. The other company wanted to charge me for the estimate and said that he was going to have to dig up the driveway, which was going to be another $7,000. That day I went in and joined Angie’s List and I found Armstrong Plumbing. A sprinkler had busted underground and we had water bubbling up. I have used them again already. If I needed someone, I will call them.

Everything was pretty good. They showed up on time and did the work. They cleaned up after they left.
