Armstrong Plumbing

I have used them twice and the same plumber has come out on both occasions. They came right out, did what they had to do and I felt their charges were very reasonable. They did not waste any time, that's why I called them. They seemed to live up to their reputation. This is the reason they are still in business. I am really happy with them. We had an Angie's List coupon that we used. They were really busy and I appreciate that. It took them a little longer on the first day, but that was because they got into things here they were not expecting. Justin, the serviceman, is a good young man and knows his stuff. He is customer service oriented, gets down to business and does it. He is a nice guy.

I was also given a few tips for maintenance and troubleshooting. Everything went well.

I had problems with the water pressure at home when irrigation system turned on. Dave was very professional and helpful with his suggestions, replacing a part instead of the whole piece which was more expensive. Nobody has found the root cause though, but I like his work and responsiveness.

The entire experience went very well from the time I called Armstrong until the County finished the job! Last night before retiring I decided to wash a load of clothes. Just as the spin cycle ended, I headed for the (master) bathroom, and to my surprise there was water rising in my shower pan! I checked our main bathroom, and there was about an inch of water sitting in the bathtub! I carefully flushed the toilet to see what would happen, and though it only rose up halfway, it appeared to be draining into the tub! I didn't panic, but we decided not to turn on any faucets since the main bathroom toilet began to leak from the base. It finally stopped, and after spending a couple of hours cleaning up and just observing, I went back to bed, not wanting to make a late night call to a plumber! In the morning, I called Armstrong Plumbing due to their high marks and positive feedback on Angie's List, and expertise working with plumbing in older homes. BTW, this is our first service call with Armstrong Plumbing. The person I spoke to (forgot his name) was very courteous and professional, and when I asked if they could make it out today, he said they would be out in two hours! I was SO relieved! I thanked him very much! He asked me several questions regarding the problem and explained what they would be doing. A few minutes after I'd called them, the phone rings, and my husband answered. It was the Armstrong service man calling back explaining that he could actually be here earlier, in just 15 minutes! WOW! My husband and I were really impressed with such prompt service! Peter was very courteous and immediately checked our "clean-out" at street level, first. Upon opening the drain lid, water poured out over the sidewalk! He determined that he probably wouldn't need to snake the drain, since the County would most likely be able to take care of the "back-up" at NO CHARGE! He did have to replace the wax ring on the main bathroom toilet, since the rising water compromised the seal, which we had already agreed on. He also mentioned our old seal, which was 2 1/2 years old, wasn't "thick" enough to begin with and needed a larger seal. He quickly performed the work, and re-caulked the toilet base, and told us to call the County of Sacramento Area Sewer District - ph# 875-6730 24 hour emergency services. He mentioned that they would inspect the drain and that the clog was probably caused from a back up in the sewer line at the street level. My husband contacted the County, and within a short 10 minutes, a nice gentlemen came by in a pick up truck to let us know that they'd be arriving within two hours. In less than 15 minutes the County arrived. They snaked the line, then sent a camera through it to make sure all was clear. It WAS definitely a job the County was able to take care of, so we were VERY RELIEVED! Armstrong saved us lots of $$, and we couldn't be more pleased! We Highly Recommend Armstrong Plumbing!

Very professional. Put paper booties on (over shoes) upon entering the house which I appreciated it. Honored the Angie's list coupon the first time and then called after first appt did a follow up call to ask if we were pleased. Said they would mail another coupon to us. When he came out the second time, even tho I hadn't received the coupon, they honored it. I

The scheduling was very good, the service was on time and did the work. I feel that it should have been done correctly the first time.

Received 4 bids for sewer line replacement. Very professional & informative & thorough. Will use them soon (finalizing finances).

Impecable. One of the most polite teams I have ever professionally worked with. I am impressed not only with their responsiveness, but also how punctual. They even called ahead to let me know where they were and that they would be on time! Arrived in professional transportation, clean and fast. I have added them to my contact address book and will absolutely use them again. Great job!

He fixed the pipe and checked to make sure everything was working correctly. We were very satisfied with the work he performed.

I called and left a message and within a hour I received a call back from Dan. I explained that I had two outdoor faucets that leaked. He said that he could come by this same day and take a look at them and provide an estimate. Later that afternoon Dan arrived. He quoted me a price of $250 which I thought was on the high side. I had put in several calls to others on Angie's List, but he was the first to call me back. Because I wanted to have it done sooner than later, and he said he could do it on Monday, I agreed to have Armstrong Plumbing do the work. Dan said he could do it on his way home since we both lived in the same area. I called Monday morning and spoke to Dan to get a sense of the time he would arrive as I had errands to run. He said 2:30 - 3:00 pm. Dan arrived at exactly 3pm, and began the repairs. It took him approximately 10 - 15 minutes and he was done. The total price came to $230. I used a $20 coupon. Dan was courteous and professional.

Snaked the sewer line from the house to the street.

I would like to change the grade I originally gave.I finally did get a call back and an apology email from the CEO, and set up an appointment for today (January 6th). The customer service is fantastic, and the tech was here on time and took care of the issue.

Perfect! He was on time, worked quickly, and cleared the clog in minutes. I chose them based on their great ratings and I was not sorry. They are TOPS!

Armstrong Plumbing did an excellent job in responding to, and repairing a leak in our hot water heater. I further smelled gas, and the service specialist Mark determined there was a gas leak and repaired that problem too. Mark from Armstrong Plumbing was very professional. He was able to make the repairs in a difficult space.

When we called about the repair, Armstrong figured out that the necessary part was on a recall and arranged to have it sent to us at no charge. The repair was done very well and professionally as arranged. We did have to call the office a couple of times to set up the repair appointment, but got one the next day. The price was very reasonable. We would use this company again for plumbing work.

I received Excellent, courteous, fairly priced, and prompt service from Home Depot. No more leaks, new disposal, installed, at the same price as a "service call" from Armstrong. |

I would have given them all As, but they had to come back a second time to get it fixed right.

Good work- professional- very expensive

Great - called on a Saturday morning at 9:30 am and was given a window of 10 to 1 - George (the plumber) called at 10 and said he was on his way - arrived and quickly cleared the line - put booties on before entering the house - very professional - great job would definitely use them in the future.

George was very polite, professional, and funny. He cleaned out the kitchen drain and then asked if I was having problems with the washing machine drain. He said they are often connected. I, in fact, was having problems with that line. I had previously had two different companies come out to clear it and they both said there was nothing wrong and they could not find a blockage. Well, when water backs up from the drain and spills on the floor, there is definitely something wrong! I was going to wait to see how it went with the kitchen sink and then call Armstrong back to look at the washer drain, but it went so well, I had George go ahead and clear that drain. He tested it afterward and all the water went down the drain like it was supposed to! Afterward, I asked George about a drain problem I was having in the backyard (yes, lots of drain problems at my house). He went out back with me and looked over the area and told me what they could do to fix it. He did not charge me for the time he spent talking to me about this issue. I'll be calling them today to arrange an appointment for that work. So glad I called them. To those who offered previous reviews, thank you. You helped me pick a great company!

After no returned calls from 3 plumbers on Angie's List, I was very happy to speak with a human at Armstrong Plumbing (yay ... no answering machine!). Michelle was very friendly and helpful! She sent out Justin, who arrived promptly and was very polite and personable. He performed the work quickly and cleaned up afterward. I now have a go-to plumbing service. I recommend them highly!

I was very happy with everything. When the service person said the rates for first 1/2 hour, and 15 minute increments, etc., I thought "Oh no,here we go for a huge bill" It was only for the minimum amount. We have had Roter Rooter and Rapid Rooter in the past and the bill was always very high with all sorts of explainations as to why we needed extra services. We couldn't be more pleased. Thank you

I was very upset that no one contacted me to schedule in a timely manner. When they did come out to do the bid, he only gave me a verbal bid, he said he would email me a written bid. When I didn't receive the bid, I asked for it again and when he finally sent it, it was more than the verbal bid.

WENT VERY WELL, MARK WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND AFFABLE. WE LIKED HIM ALOT. SAID DIDN'T NORMALLY SERVICE OUR AREA, BUT RECEIVED TWO OTHER CALLS IN EL DORADO HILLS WHILE HE WAS HERE.
