ADT Security Services

Their customer service has not improved one inch. My latest complaint is that ADT charges me late fees and I have signed up for automatic withdrawal from the start. How does ADT run their accounting department? It's only $1.00, but it's the principle. I don't understand this. Does ADT think customers are so stupid that we are not going to notice? I have called several times with no satisfaction. I will be calling them every day until I see the $1 refunded back to my account. I would like to know how many customers have been charged late fees when they have set up automatic withdrawal. That's a good way for ADT to make some extra money!!!!!! I have to ask myself why I have stayed with ADT so long. With the way they handle their accounting department, I don't feel confident that if my alarm goes off I will get help.

I have been using them for 2 months. They were not cheap but have better quality. It was worth the extra money. They did the installation.

ADT is an adequate security monitoring system. However, the Customer Service is horrible. We wanted to go to wireless monitoring but ADT's cost was nearly double that of the hard wired system. We found another really good wireless monitoring service (LiveWatch) for $19.00 per month. When I called to cancel the ADT service, they gave me the runaround. It took 3 calls to finally get them to discontinue the service and about 2 months to refund the unused portion of the month. Once ADT was FINALLY convinced that we really wanted out, they stopped being courteous. The final call was a nightmare. Like I said the service is fine, but the Customer Service is so bad that I don't recommend them to anyone. LiveWatch is so much better.

I would never recommend this company. Our new home development had a "special" deal with ADT which included free installation. The technicians that came to install our system were incompetent. They didn't know what they were doing and we had to get another technician twice more to fix the problem. Also, they run a "referral scam". They say that for each referral they will give you $50. and the referral will get $50. We referred ADT to two neighbors who had ADT install their alarms. It's been six months and no referral checks. When we asked when will we and our two referrals get the checks, they say it's "complicated". Turns out they sub-contract the referral payments to a second party, which has an unsecure web site. Bad business practice.

Outstanding service from start to finish. When I called, Customer Service Rep was prompt and helpful. She patiently provided me with several options for home security. Then she went out of her way to obtain additional discounts for me as per her guidelines. Dispatch scheduled the install at a time that worked best for me. The Installation Tech, CJ Toby, was on time, worked very hard, was very patient, and trained me well on how to use the new service. I would recommend them in a heartbeat. A plus provider.

They're good people, I'd recommend them. The price was reasonable and they're good people, I like them. They have a good wireless system, one that can be turned on or off in a remote location and I think that's pretty cool.

We wanted to upgrade to the newest wireless security, and were already using ADT. The corporate team came to install our new Pulse system, and we were very impressed with the installation itself and the professionalism of Ryan and the service technician who did the work. The team was at our home for over three hours and installed and tested everything. We were also shown how to upload the ADT app onto our iPhones and were trained to use the system, which has lots of bells and whistles to enable us to conveniently and easily secure our home with interactive touchscreen security, and to manage the system from a distance, when away. The cost was very fair for this upgrade to all new equipment plus some additional sensors and light control, and beat competitors such as FrontPoint for similar types of equipment. And we did not have to do the installation ourselves, which is required by FrontPoint and some other systems.

Good. Prompt, explained options. We reviewed the web site. The only issue we had was that the door and window sensors were larger than we understood. We decided to go with the less obtrusive sensors which was an additional cost.

I have been using them for 12 years and I have never had a problem that they have not addressed very quickly. If there is a problem with the system they have been very responsive.

They did a great job. They price was very reasonable.

I got mad at them. I had them for 8 years, but I was very unhappy with the customer service. I had been talking to a woman who monitored the systems and I had accidentally set my alarm off one day and I never got a call back. I was very upset about that and we went back and forth. She was a real smart mouth and I was very unhappy with it. I started to look for another company. I finally talked to someone at their headquarters. They apologized and said they would take care of it. So I said ok and stayed with them. It was only once. The reason that I called the corporate headquarters is they kept arguing with me saying it was something wrong with my system, and I knew it wasn?t anything wrong with the system. They sent someone out and they were going to charge me for that, and I had told them I didn?t want them to send anybody out and they did it anyway. And the guy came and he was very nice and he said he was going to call the corporate headquarters. I guess he is one of the people who fix the systems, and he was wonderful. He said I would not be charged, and that was very nice with him. I called the company to let them know how nice he was and everything. I had to leave a message. They corrected it, and I have had them for many years. I am happy with it. It was just the one woman. They did apologize and correct it. I think the price is very good. They responded when they found out about the problem.

We have been real pleased with the system. It is easy to use. Not a lot of wires. They are easy to get a hold of. I did need a battery to be changed and they came right out and did it for me. They were real straightforward with the product we were getting.

It is effective and they are very responsive. It is an economical service and they had taught the usage when they installed the system. They called us and the police, and sent them out before installation. They explained everything in detail and I do feel safe after installing it.

We have had the technicians out a couple of times since: 1) When we had a rat chew through the wires in the attic. 2)To upgrade the system. The technicians are always very kind and respectful.

This company installed my alarm several years ago. They have always been great to deal with and the prices are extremely reasonable. I have a panic button for fire and police, as well as constant monitoring by ADT.

Installation was fine and monitoring was adequate. Problem arose when I decided to change to another alarm company: For almost 8 years Brinks never contacted me except to tell my the alarm was going off..no "how are we doing?", no "can we upgrade?", nothing. When I called to end their services, they told me I had to pay the final 2 months of monitoring, even if they weren't active because it was a "year to year" contract. Even worse, they said they had to come to my house to remove and take possession of the old system or they would have to charge me for it, even though I'd been "leasing" it for 8 years. They refused to just let me remove and dispose of the old system, but when they tech came out to take possession and I asked him what they were going to do with it, he said "We're just going to throw it away. It's too old and it isn't compatible to any of the new technology." Basically, they inconvenienced me by having to wait for someone to pick it up just to bust my chops! The system could never be used again! Bottom line: very poor customer service and extremely petty and childish behavior once they realized they were losing a paying customer. I would not recommend Brinks to anyone looking for an alarm system.

An agent came out and did an inspection and gave a quote. The installer came out and gave a different quote. The second installer came out to install the system. He did not install the system correctly. The third installer comes out to redo what the second installer did. The third installer did not include some windows. The fourth installer has to come out and fix everything so that the alarm system will work properly.

I asked why I was paying over $300 to install the alarm system when I had an ad for $99 installation with free remote. I was told that my home was being hard wired to my phone+a motion sensor with $23 a month for 24 months vs. $33 a month for 3 years-which was a big savings. My neighbors recommended ADT services, so I stayed at home for 3 hours while a new installer was supervised by a veteran installer. I have alarms on my home for the same reason I have alarms on my car-it makes the next house without alarms more attractive for thieves.

I was so glad when I changed my service to them. They are a very well known company and the have great customer service. If there happened to be a problem they will contact me immediately. I feel much safer now.

They are easy to contact and I am always able to speak with a live agent. They have been so kind as to keep the service on while I sell the house. They are always on time when I need them and they provide excellent service. I think the pricing is adequate.

I like ADT because they are very quick to respond. They were very helpful to me when I had questions to ask, they never give me the impression that I am a bother if I need assistance and I really trust them with the safety of my home.

I haven't had any problems with my service. I did have to have them replace a battery once and they charged me more than they said but it was still affordable. If I call in about my billing, they are very helpful.

It was excellent that they came and got right to work and got the job done. I was very impressed at how thorough they were with the installation. I would recommend them to anyone who wants peace of mind.

We have had some problems in the gear which can be common with electrical systems like this. They were great though. They came out and repaired the system in timely manner. The crew they sent out to do the work was courteous and very nice.

They are very polite when it came to giving us information and they explained everything thoroughly. I was very happy with the entire process and now I can feel safe. This is a reliable service and I plan on sticking with them in the future.
