It was my 1st week at my new home and I needed a new furnace, I had just purchased my 1st home,Feb 2015 It was cold and I was pregnant with 2 kids just moved in, this was the las to contact the home warranty that came with my new home,this was the last thing I needed,The home warranty company contacted James the owner of A Plus Global System Heating amd Air Conditioning/ HVAC and sent him out. I let him know i didnt know how any of this worked but i was told to give him $60 To cover the deductable. He took a look around and a few min later came back and said it needed to be replaced and that i would have to pay extra for e everything not covered by the warranty and he said he would do it immediatly and even work through the weekend he said he would get the authorization from the warranty company asap since it was late on a friday and they would be closing soon ..*warning sign #1 (warranty company is closed on weekend to verify any questions),He was an older gentleman and for this reason I guess I trusted him. He has been outside for a while and it was the end of the day when he came back in he said It looks like I was also going to need a new ac unit out side and that he would give me a one time deal for a little over $6000 but I needed to tell him now so that he can order the unit and get it put in while he did the furnace, I was in disbelief? What did he mean? And he said that it was in such bad shape that it needed to be replaced and that it would not be covered by the warranty! I explained that I barely had any money left after just moving in, he said he would wave the duct sealing and skip the permit fees And that if i couldnt pay then he would have to leave out the step to bring it up to some new code? I had no clue what he was talking about all i heard was $6000 plus..He then sat down and said he was going to do me a favor and do it for a little over $5000..This was all I had left in the bank after being bled by the crooked Lender I had.He made it sound l ke he was doing me a huge favor and I really didnt have a choice.I bought it..not knowing that if there was really an issue that my warranty company would have paid to fix or replace it themselves. Like I said I had no clue and I was alone with nobody to tell me that this was a scam. I truly didn't know that a professional hired by my Home warranty could come into a home, my home on a contracted job and con me out of what I had.How is this not illegal? What makes it worse is that the brand new air conditioner barely even works upstairs because of the duct work in the house it cools the 1st floor and not the 2nd..And same with heat.I was so upset after spending all that money to replace everything he told me I needed and it barely worked... this is what I was worried at that time. Until I later discovered that air conditioning would have been covered by my warranty company. I was so upset about the air not blowing upstairs that when he said he coulndt do nothing about it I told him I hope his conscious would eat at him for all he had done getting over on a pregnant woman. A year and 4 month's later and my ac goes out!I called his office and his daughter or wife said my warranty from them was only for a year to handle it through my insurance!Come to find out my motor and circuit board blew along with something else then last month it went out again and I had to file another claim..not to mention the PVC pipes from the furnace leak water and he would not return my phone calls would not come look at it he never came to service the AC like he said he does yearly.I would sue but I dont know if I even have a case. Come to find out he was supposed to file a permit with the county when you put in the furnace and never did that either! I don't know how this man is still in business. I see his business was a similar name in ElkGrove until he moved to 372 Florin Road#288 I wonder if James does this often.My furnace is corroding
