The young man was very nice. He was punctual and cleaned everything after finishing. The quoted price for a fireplace cap was a little high. I can get one less expensive through Home Depot.

It was fantastic. We called him up and made an appointment. He was out here on time. He did a fast job and cleaned up afterwards. He was great. I had no problems.

I was very happy with the work. He was very professional, clean, and did a great job fixing the issue with the pilot light on my fireplace. It was very loud when the fireplace was off. We actually had to turn the gas off it was so loud and annoying . He also rearranged the logs and got our remote control working for us again. It looks beautiful and we are really enjoying our fireplace again.

Service was on time and at the price quoted. i would give them a A overall however, the person that booked the appointment complained that Angie's list had not increased the price as he had requested. He did honor the price I had paid Angie's list but was annoyed which made my overall experience less than exceptional.

Did a very neat & clean job- never know had done work if didn't see him do it. Gave info on what was wrong with chimney (L shape to outside) & how to fix by installing an insert as well as approx. cost.

When I purchased this special, I received an email from Angie's list that I was going to be contacted by the contractor, but that wasn't the case. I was able to schedule for a technician that accommodated my schedule. I can't remember the window for the technician to arrive, but he was busy at another job. I called several times to ask for a time of arrival and there were not able to provide that. In addition, spoke with one person first who told me one thing and the second call, the told me a different thing, and there was no record of my previous call. In the end, they sent a different technician to complete this call. The technician was very thorough and professional. He explained the current issues with the fireplace and the cost to have the repairs completed.

I had some difficulties getting my fireplace up and running at the beginning of the cold season. Aaron from A-1 Chimney came out and took a look at my fireplace. He found that there was quite a bit of air in the gas line that needed to be bled out. He went through the system and made sure that it was in working condition. He installed a new remote control system for the fireplace as well. Everything is now in good working order for winter!

The experience with the company was good overall. The problem was that the fireplace insert was an older model and could not be removed. In addition no one asked if there was an insert during the time we were setting up a time for the work to be done.

They were fine. They were nice, good guys and the did a good job.

The serviceman showed up on time and performed a thorough inspection of our chimney. We just purchased an older house and wanted to be sure there were no issues. He ran his camera and light up and down the chimney and inspected the flue. He gave us a detailed drawing of a typical brick chimney and how it functions. Fortunately, everything was in order and the fireplace was deemed safe to use. Thank you.

Aaron and his brother, techs for A-1, arrived promptly, carefully laid out protective cloth, and thoroughly cleaned the fireplace under the watchful eye of my dog. They showed me what they were doing step by step. They offered to and did cap off the gas line that I had told them I do not plan to use. They then cleaned up the area so that it was spotless. I was very impressed!

Arrived on time. Presented appropriate ID. Complained about how narrow the flue is. Using an itemized list, told me it was unsafe to have a fire in the fireplace and how much they would charge for repairs. Left the damper open. The "big deal" came across to me as an excuse to find things they could fix. It all may be true. I have no interest in ever dealing with this company again.

WENT EXCELLENT! He showed up early, educated me on my gas log starter, and made me feel knowledgeable about what to do and how to proceed with certain needs in my fireplace. I just bought the home and now my fireplace is ready to go for the Winter. I will share this experience with the world.

They were fabulous. They came in and cleaned the chimney and there was no soot in my house at all. They were very timely.

All in all a great experience!

Job was well done, They hauled away 5 large bags of debris from my gutters -- so I know they were very thorough. Guys was very friendly and worked very hard to accomplish the job in just a few hours.

The serviceman was polite and professional. He kept to his work and did it very neatly without creating any dust or getting anything dirty (he used a cover on the hearth and carpeting to catch anything that might come down/out of chimney). We would definitely use this service again. I do not remember the cost however our landlords paid for it, and it had not been done in 9 years even though we had repeatedly requested the landlord have it done. We finally called the Calif. Sacramento Building Inspector's office and that is why the landlords finally had our chimney cleaned. It should be done yearly to feel safer.

I called to make an appointment for gutter cleaning and was told the voucher did not cover 2 story house, although this was not stated in the fine print.

The appointment was made. A-1's technician Leon arrived on time. He cleaned the gutters quickly and efficiently. He checked the gutters to make sure that no repairs were needed. Leon said that he could tell that I worked hard in maintaining the gutters because they were relatively clean. I told him that I had my son clean them last summer. I tried to make sure that the gutters are cleaned on a yearly basis.

. I Have a Home Depot within I mile of my house where the sealant could have been purchased. My gutters only had one side of the house that had any significant collection of leaves. He then presented me with the bill and I said I had already paid on Angie's list. He then proceeded to say that my house really was a $159 job because my house is so big. I have a one-story, 2600 square foot home, which is the smallest in the subdivision. He then offered a myriad of services that he could do: dryer vent, window washing, power washing, etc. I declined all. He was here less than 30 minutes. I am glad my gutters are clean, but my repairs are not done. Please do not advertise "clean and repair" if they are only going to clean.

Everything looked great. Needed trees trimmed for power lines and had them do a lot of other maintenance. Cleaned everything up as well.

Arrived on time; cleaned the fireplace and chimney, and protected my carpet while doing so. He wasn't overly friendly, but he was professional and got the job done!
