Description of Work: The technician arrived on time and did a quick inspection. He said the fireplace was old but holding up well. He did clean it but said it really didn't need a cleaning other than for cobwebs. He recommended a rain cap to keep the water out. In out and on with our lives.

Description of Work: Gutter cleaning on 2-story house. THere was some confusion at first when the Ai Chimney person said I would have to pay an additional $50 for 1.5 hours of work. When I told him I had already paid for 1.5 hours work, he had to call his employer to verify the coupon deal. Once confirmed, he did the work I needed.

Description of Work: The worker was pleasant and professionally dressed. The cleaning of the chimney and gutters were completed faster than I expected, in about an hour. A few hours after he left I noticed debris still in a gutter that I could see from the inside of the house and I never got around to calling them back. I don't know maybe they just make sure water can flow easy through the gutter and don't eyeball it. I do know it left an uneasy feeling about the others that I couldn't see. I didn't call the company to have him come back out because of my own time restraints. I learned that I need to go outside and supervise, making sure each gutter is being cleaned and check from inside the house the ones I can see.

Description of Work: Several years ago, when run by a different owner, I hired them to clean my chimney. I was happy with the work and price so I called them to clean and inspect my new chimney. They did so, and then gave me an estimate for repairs, and I didn't care for the guy that did the work. He was late and abrasive. The quote for the repair work was really pricey but I told them to call me back in the fall. I spoke to the owner earlier this fall and for the estimated 4-5 hours for the work and minimal materials, he quoted me roughly $1,700. When I asked for a break down regarding why it was so pricey, he agreed to give me a $200-$300 discount. I voiced my concern that this was still incredibly pricey for 4-5 hours of labor. Our call was cut short and I didn't hear back from him. I called this week and spoke with the manager. I explained that $1,400-$1,500 for half a day's work didn't make sense to me. He agreed to talk with the owner. Nonetheless, they stood firm at $1,400. He explained that they make $1,500 a day per truck so why not charge me the same amount regardless of the fact that it was for 4-5 hours of labor. My response: I WILL NEVER HIRE YOU TO DO WORK FOR ME EVER AGAIN.

Description of Work: The chimney was cleaned from top to bottom. We have a pellet stove in our fireplace opening, but that did not present a problem. He put down a huge tarp and proceeded to clean everything. He did an outstanding job, and there was not a speck of dust or soot remaining, as everything was spic and span when he left. We would have A1 again without hesitation and recommend them highly!
