The Sprinkler Doctor Landscape Contractor

I wasn't able to get hold of him last year. He was excellent.

He fixed it in 30 minutes and his prices are reasonable. He is so customer-oriented.

Great job but a little hard to get a hold of sometimes. When I left a message I usually got a call back within 48 hours. Showed up on time when scheduled work and completed it fast.

I placed a call to the company and left a message for a call back to schedule an appointment. I never did receive a call back. It has been 5 days.

James was extremely professional and prompt. He arrived right on time and finished the job quickly. Only a couple days, but everything is working great, and he guaranteed the work. Would def. call him again.

We called on a Saturday morning, James returned the call on Sunday and came out to look at it 2 hours later. He gave us a quote and came back later in the afternoon to fix it. it took about 45 minutes for him to complete the job, including cleanup.

I received a notice on my front door from City of Roseville saying sprinkler in front lawn malfunctioning, water pouring out the side of the sprinkler and flooding gutter. They marked it with a blue flag. I called Joe Norgol/sprinkler doctor and explained the problem, he said he could come over at 5:30pm today. I agreed. He arrived promptly at 5:30pm. I requested he examine the entire sprinkler system to see if there were any other problems needing to be addressed. He did a thorough evaluation and made the necessary repairs and adjustments. He is very knowledgeable, he is a licensed contractor. He had the repairs completed and was finished in no time, it was 45 minutes altogether. The cost was $70 and I paid by check. He supplied an invoice of services rendered.

The Sprinkler Doctor came out and gave me a detailed estimate for the job. I accepted and he came out the next week. Him and another worker came and repaired the sprinklers in the front yard. They trenched the back yard, which is about a 1/4 acre and installed the sprinklers. They installed the system in my garage and set it up for the sprinklers to go on every morning. It took about 4 days to complete everything. I am very satisfied with the quality of work done.

There was no work performed, because I was not even able to speak to anyone about an estimate.

It was quick, professional, and I hardly knew they were there and it was all over before I knew it! The new lawn looks great!

Went great. I needed existing sprinklers repaired (both drip and conventional sprinklers) as well as upgrading of drip system and improvement recommendations. Also ended up purchasing a new timer that is much easier to use. I couldn't be more pleased.

This is the second time we contacted the Sprinkler Doctor. We discovered a leak somewhere in the front of the house in a separate area from where James Norgol fixed our valve a few weeks ago. We called James in the evening around 5:00 and he returned our call approx an hour later. He scheduled us in for 8 the following morning. He was here around 7:30 in the morning already on the job trying to figure out where the leak was. He discovered the leak after digging around for approx an hour and half. He replaced the main line break. The work was done expeditiously and professionally. We are really glad to have someone we can trust for our lawn irrigation needs. In the course of speaking with James, I discovered he also provides contracting services for landscaping improvements. In the future, we will definitely ask him to place a bid for landscape improvement work.

See above. I thought a sprinkler next to the pond was leaking but I couldn't find the leak. Of course it really got bad when I went to check the pond just before I had to leave for work! I found Sprinkler Doctor on Angie's List and called. As noted, they were out in a couple of hours and found the leak to be from a buried connector from the water source to the pond. Great job!

One member of our church provided very detailed descriptions of what we required. James acted on the information. There was a misunderstanding about where to position the manifold. James made the change (which required a trip to the supply house) in good graces and didn't charge for the extra work. The system worked well except for one station. James returned a week later to fix that problem. He determined that it must be a faulty wire, and he heroically crawled under our 70-year-old building on one of the hottest days of the year to run a new wire. Overall, we felt that he used good parts, did what he said he would do, went to great lengths to meet our specification, and essentially guaranteed his work.

I called James Norgol based upon Angie's list recommendations. He bid $585 for the job. He arrived promptly as scheduled. Part of the bid was to install a gate valve. James found an existing gate value buried near the valves. He also repositioned a few sprinklers and capped off several sprinklers in the process. The job came in at $450. I can't remember when I've had a contractor come in UNDER the original bid price. One of the valves started leaking two days after installation. James came back and fixed it on the third day. Two dry spots appeared a few weeks after the project was done. I called James a few times and he came by a fixed the coverage. James was very knowledgeable about how to setup and position sprinklers to get the right coverage on the lawn. I would definitely recommend the Sprinkler Doctor and would use them for future projects.

Since the design had some flaws, it probably took some extra time to work around them, but James never made it seem like a big deal or charge me more. They showed up when they said they would, and if they were running late, called. James is very personable and easy going and his bid was exactly what he charged.

He was late for the initial appointment but had called to let me know and then came at the next promised time. He stated he would return the next day with the parts at a certain time and was right on. I could not have asked for a more professional transaction to take place.

The price was awesome for Sprinkler Doctor and they arrived right on time. I was very happy with their work however my sprinkler system needed some tweaking a few weeks later and it was very hard to reach them. The communication ended up being bad.

James provided a complete estimate via email and we were able to modify estimate before starting the work. He was very flexible in making minor changes during the project without added costs. The yard looks great and sprinkler system works perfect. Project was completed as scheduled.

We had a family friend who offered to do the job.

Arrived on time. Gave a reasonable fixed quote. Did the work OK. Cleanup OK. Not 100% but adequate. I'll probably use them again.

The crew was punctual, functional and professional. The work is covered by a one year warranty. The cost was quite reasonable. I couldn't have been more pleased.
