+ -1 moreWe decided to just pass. Home depot quoted a cost of $3200 for pad and carpet for our rental home. That was fine but it turned out that take up of old carpet was extra $375 there was an extra charge for everything! We are going to find a company that does not charge for every little nickel dime extra... like extra for a person to unload the carpet...are they kidding? sheesh.
Description of Work: We paid $50 for the measuring of the carpet. that went well then we waited 5 days for them to get back to us with a quote on the price of installation.

+ -1 moreI decided not to use Home Depot for this project.
Description of Work: I was interested in Home Depot's installation service for laminate flooring. I paid the $50 fee and had a technician come out to measure my flooring area. In addition, I pulled out ALL the carpeting so that the tech could inspect the cement slab for cracks and protruding edges (uneven cement). The tech had a cool tablet that created a detailed floor plan. He also took photos of my space. One other thing, the tech took photos of the areas that were uneven and would need leveling/grinding. When I got the quote, I wasn't surprised that the $399 install quickly escalated. Home Depot was charging me extra to layout a plastic vapor barrier - how petty can that be. For the delivery service, the $79 was doubled because they claimed I ordered too many boxes of flooring (around 50 boxes) AND they added $20 for a second person to unload the truck. But the kicker was that the quote DID NOT include a final number on the install. For the cement grinding, it simply said $150 per hour. So I called and asked "since you have photos of my cement and the tech made detailed notes on the areas to be leveled, why can't you tell me how much that would cost?" The rep at Home Depot then placed a call to the local installer. At first, someone at that company said "we would need to lift the carpet to inspect the floor..." I was blown away - I already did that!! You have photos of my floor showing bare floors! Your tech made detailed notes for that!! I was then told, "we'll send out another tech to reinspect the cement slabs. Yes, I got a call from the second tech who failed to call me on the day he was to come by. The problem with the Home Depot setup is that you have a hard time figuring out who is the owner/manager of the project. It seems like there are too many people in the mix and no one has what is needed (or authority) to get the job done. Long story short, I gave the job to Lowes in Roseville! Very professional, Firm and final quote, no excess or hidden charges. I liked the installer they contract with, a local guy who did a great job.

equipment rentals
+ -1 moreThey are very reasonably priced and that’s the reason I used them. They don’t have bulldozers or anything like that but they have a whole line of power tools and things like that. The equipment was in working condition and they provided a 100 feet hose which was what I needed. I was very happy with them and would recommend them.
Description of Work: I rented a submersible pump from The Home Depot-Roseville to drain my pool.

+ -1 moreWe hired a contractor to install carpeting that was purchased at Home Depot they did an excellent job on the installation but they were rather slow on getting back with me on when they would be here to install the carpet. Their rates were excellent they did quality work on the installation and they were professional.

+ -1 moreI THINK THAT THIS COMPANY WAS VERY GOOD. WE HAD NO LARGE PROBLEMS WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY SEEMED PRETTY AVERAGE FOR AROUND HERE. THEY CAME ON TIME AND DID THE WORK THAT THE WERE SUPPOSED TO DO.
Description of Work: THEY REPLACED THE BATHTUBS AND SINK IN BOTH OF MY BATHROOMS. THEY ALSO PUT TILES IN MY KITCHEN AND BATHROOMS.
