Sherwood Tile Co Inc

I had solicited bids from three tile installer companies. One of the installers, Stollard Tile (with whom I was very impressed), called within two days after visiting our home, to say that she could not bid the job because she recently lost two of her tile installers. She did, however, recommend Sherwood Tile Company where she was previously employed. I contacted Sherwood Tile (Jay Gardner, owner) and asked if they were interested in reviewing the project and submitting a bid. I was very impressed with Jay's manner of reviewing our project and making suggestions that both improved the looks of the job but also made it easier to install. One of the suggestions, that none of the other bidders mentioned, was installation of an L-shaped bright brass strip at the top lip of each stair to both protect that edge and improve its appearance. Jay's bid price of the job was two thirds that of the next low bidder. He promptly arrived on the day the work was to begin and introduced me to the two-man installation team. They immediately masked off the area where the work was to be done to prevent dust, etc., from invading non-work areas. The team worked swiftly on that first day to remove existing carpet, linoleum and ceramic tile. Both the wife and I were impressed with how clean and orderly they continually kept the work area. Further, the team leader, Slav, worked closely with me to develop a tile design in the entry way. The team finished the project within the estimated time frame. Overall, the wife and I were extremely impressed with the tile installation, Sherwood Tile's professionalism, and their tidiness. We can, without any reservation, recommend Sherwood Tile Company as a top notch outfit worthy of you business.
