Description of Work: Our very old oven (already in the house when we bought in 1992) wasn't heating up although the fan went on when we turned it on. Neither the broiler nor oven element were working. The S & S repair person very quickly diagnosed the issue to be related to a non-functioning slow cook timer that was out of alignment. He lined up the dials, and voila, oven working! I think it took him two minutes max.

Description of Work: The service person was right on time. Gave estimate and explained that if a part was needed, it would be re-estimated. It did need a part and the cost was reasonable. It was a water pump in my washer. He also pointed out the door need fixing. I told him it had been fixed earlier. He explained only two things can go wrong with the door - latch or a break in the plastic. The latch has been replaced. He told me should I decide to repair again, it would be a new door. He also said to be sure to tell whoever repaired it the latch had been replaced. Service person was friendly but not overly so. Would definitely use again.

+ -1 moreI have used S&S exclusively due to a variety of reasons. 1. Their 24/7 operation. 2. The main technician is a mechanical engineer with a keen understanding of appliance operations. The technician is courteous, arrival is usually the same day and repairs have been completed quickly. Pricing is fair as far as my competitive studies have shown and I am very happy to have service available on weekends. I would highly recommend this company and the technican named Bobby. The company charges a flat rate and does not quote until the problem is found, so there is no running up of a bill. S&S fixes what is broken and does not look for extra work.
Description of Work: After the rinse and spin cycle of our HE washer, our clothes were still too wet. The serviceman, Bobby, observed the cycle in process and stated there were too many clothes in the washer and the heavy movement of the washer affected the sensor. In addition, he said a mixture of light and heavy clothes could throw it off too. Bobby removed the top so we could observe the vibration. There was no charge and the serviceman stated to contact him lather that morning if it happened again so he could come out again and perform further investigation.
