+ -1 moreSmooth as a whistle, just like they told me over the phone. They got right to it, and repaired only what needed to be repaired. Everything works the way it should to this day. They also took the time to explain about under sized filter and pump motor ready to go out. Good information.
Description of Work: Replaced motor for pool sweep. There was a leak in one of the lines, and repaired cracked pipe.

+ -1 moreExcellent! Rick has come out 2x times. The Screenlogic system i have (used to control pool from iphone/ipad and computer) was having connectivity issues. He fixed it once (under Pentair warranty) and warned it could come back and to just give him a call if it did. He was extremely knowledgeable w/ the Screenlogic system. I wish I would have used them to do the original install. He knew pools, computers, and this new blend of technology. Sure enough the connectivity issues resurfaced (pentair issue not Rocklins), and this time he came w/ a newly released firmware that has resolved the issues. He also took some time to make recommendations on my system and help me resolve some ongoing problems from the original installer. Thanks Rick! Everything is working great!

+ -1 moreThe employee who gave us the orientation was extremely knowledgable and friendly. He went over all of the details of how our equipment operated and the chemical process. The only written material provided was for the chemicals so I took notes on the rest. He offered three different weekly service packages of which we chose the middle one for 69.00 per month. He also make us feel as though we could call them with any questions or needs regarding our pool. There were just a couple of hiccups when calling the provider. More often than not, the answering machine would take my call. The office employee would usually call back within a reasonable amount of time but I have had to try again on a couple of occasions. Once a tablet was added which resulted in an additional charge that I wasn't aware of until I got the bill. The following year the previous month's bill did have a notation about it. Another time they were supposed to call to schedule a service day different than our usual one but didn't so the service man couldn't get in. No problems for quite some time, though and our actual service man, Tim, is great!! :)

+ -1 moreWhen he arrived on time to look at my spa, I was already prepared for the fact that to fix a spa was going to cost me a little money. What happened was a pleasant surprise. He checked out everything and determined that it wasn't the spa that was the problem! And the problem was an easy fix for our Property Manager's handyman! therefore, WAAY less $$ and now a spa that works!!!
Description of Work: Looked at problems with my above ground spa to assess if he could fix it or would have to come back.

Tim comes out every week to check the chemicals, clean the skimmer baskets and check the pool equipment as needed. They also clean the filters on a regular basis. They are always prompt to troubleshoot any issues/questions/concerns I have. I highly recommend them to all of my friends and will continue to use their service as long as I have a pool!

+ -1 moreNot well. The pool service was supposed to replace both our pool lights. They only ended up replacing one and due to their poor business etiquette will we be looking for another company to complete the job.
Description of Work: The referenced pool service installed one pool light in our in ground pool. It took roughly three hours for them to replace the light ; they stopped frequently to warm themselves out of the water, but we were never informed of any usual complications. They were supposed to come back out to install the second light. However, when we heard that the originally quoted price would be increased we told them we were not interested in their completing the job. The reason they supplied for why the cost would be increased was due to the man hours it had taken to install the first light and that they would need to have a diver come out to our house to do the second light. The quote we were provided before they started the work was described to us as covering the "worse case scenario" --one in which they have difficulty removing and installing the light due to the use of sealant to prevent leaks. The worse case scenario was described to us in detail by a technical expert with ten years experience in pool and spa service. We relied on this technical expert's advise and then were told that the replacement of the second light would be $100.00 more than the originally quoted price by an employee at their office. We asked to speak to the store manager/owner and were told he was unavailable. We also asked to speak to the technician that had originally quoted us on the cost of the job and we were told by the office employee that he had already relayed the situation--this did not match mine nor my husband's account of what took place the day of the initial visit to assess the cost of the work or the conversations that took place the day the technician (same person) was out replacing the first pool light. It appeared to be a classic "switch and bait" situation. We paid them for the first light ($10.00 over the invoice amount) and do not plan to give them any return business. There was a lack of professionalism on the part of the office staff and due to their having "renigged" on the original quoted amount we have a lack of faith in their overall integrity.

+ -1 moreRick replaced our pool pump with a Sta-Rite IntelliPro Variable Speed programable Pump. He set the pump at a different position from the original to allow for a longer length pipe entering the pump, which added to it's efficiency and quietness. Our prior pump was so noisy that we rarely ran the waterfall because it interfered with the peacefulness of the waterfall. The new pump is so quiet that we have to walk up to it to make sure it's on. So nice! During Rick's initial inspection he asked about the pool light remote control. We told him we never could get it to work. He inspected both the remote and switch in the control box and determined that the switch was bad. He replaced the switch a few days after the pump was installed. He also noticed that the color of the water in the pool was a bit green and that he could bring it back to it's proper color by adding some chemicals to it. These two items are what the others missed. Thanks Rick and Rona!
Description of Work: Rick Di Meola was very helpful in making my decision as to what equipment we really needed and after getting bids from five others on his service. He installed just what we needed and didn't oversell us. He noticed two things that the others didn't. We'll definitely use and recommend Rocklin Pool & Spa. Also, Rona at his office was very good at keeping us informed.

+ -1 moreMy husband was responsible for maintenance of the pool, cleaning filters, etc. He passed away last summer. I hired the first company that answered my call to do what he did. It was not a pleasant experience. Rocklin Pool and Spa Service initially came out seven years ago when my pool was installed and set everything up per the builder's specifications. I looked up their number on my initial paperwork, called them and they came out. They took care of my pool and it now looks new again! I couldn't be more pleased. I immediately hired them for weekly maintenance. Plus they fixed a broken piece of equipment that the other company completely overlooked. They are knowledgeable, professional and always consistent in their schedule. Pool maintenance is no longer stressful; I have found a company I can trust!
