+ 0 moreService was not as described. Denied a refund. Took photos of before and after to prove that even the most mundane tasks such as glasswork and dusting was not done. They promised to focus on my kids rooms and instead skipped my kids rooms despite my reminding multiple times to mainly focus on my kids rooms. Worst maid service I have ever used. Very poor customer service. $705 for two and a half hours of four women gossiping and doing nothing more than vacuuming is ridiculous. Vacuuming that I repeatedly stressed did not need done. It also took three days for them to get back to me after three days of my leaving voicemails. They did not try to resolve this at all. Very rude and unprofessional. Let this be a warning to others. Do not use this service!

+ -1 moreI am always happy with the work they do. Ladies are very polite and friendly as well as professional. They are very reliable. I plan my busy schedule around the time planned for them to come and they are always prompt. In the past 8 years I have used them I have always been happy with their work. Staff in the office are always responsive and very professional. The service may be more expensive than other independent services, but because they have reliable transportation and are so reliable to be at my home at the time planned, it's worth it.

+ -1 moreThey seem to be very, very good. I’ve been very happy with their work and they are quick. Everything looks wonderful. When they send a team out, they almost always send the same team so you get to know them. Team number 3 usually comes to my home. The price is expensive but I have to have the work done and they are really good. They call the day before they come and they are always right on time.

+ 0 moreI thought I had been keeping up with the cleaning until I saw the results of THEIR work!! Nice job Team #6!. There was one corner wall that got scuff marks just above the baseboard from something. They were very careful about it not being from the vacuum electric chord so we're not sure what caused it. The mop? Cleaning supply basket? I had checked ALL the corners just prior to them coming and all were clean. This had been a problem when I had them cleaning in the past (last year) but after communicating this to Molly Maids they worked diligently to figure out just exactly how it was happening (even testing it out in their office). I think we had it all figured out. I was satisfied. THEN they emailed me a survey. I was fine with continuing their service but one of the questions asked was: Would I recommend them to my friends. And I had to answer No. I was afraid my friends' walls would get scuffed and my friends would call ME with complaints. Not something I wanted to risk. BUT I was not going to fire them! We had it worked out but I guess they assumed that was the end of it for me. They didn't call me the couple days ahead to give me the time so I just let it end. I thought I could do it all just fine myself. BIG MISTAKE. LOL So when I decided to hire a cleaning service again, I checked with my friends. They all had just a single person that came and it took them two to four hours. I did not want to be tied up that long! I love that Molly Maids uses Teams. In and out and only an hour and 15 minutes. PLUS I felt very, very comfortable with the Owner Lisa, the Office Manager/Scheduler Liz and all of the ladies that work so hard. SOOO I called Molly Maid of Placer County again. They welcomed me back so enthusiastically. I actually was concerned that they might be rude to me or mad. NOT! It's very important to me to feel comfortable around people working in my house or yards. I don't speak Spanish but they understand most of my English. There is always at least one team member that speaks pretty good English. Plus so much can be conveyed by using our hands, making gestures, pointing, etc.! We do quite well. I had only a couple other minor things that I didn't like but all it took was a very easy and quick call or email to Liz or Lisa. Problem handled. I am thrilled to have them back. Oh, and I have them come every 4 weeks. You can pick what day is best for you and what time and they will find the way to make it happen. Plus I gave them the key to my house so I don't have to be there and I travel a lot. I trust them.
Description of Work: Vacuumed whole house (1200 sf), mopped all tile floors, cleaned sinks, toilets, tub and showers, dusted all surfaces, Emptied kitchen trash. That's all I can think of! I hope I didn't leave something out.

+ 1 moreSince I've had Molly Maid of Placer County for ten years, I obviously like the job they do. I think they're great! They clean well, they're nice, and the office staff are kind and helpful. I really like this company. After many years, I discovered I could be assigned the same team for each cleaning rather than have a different team each time. (Molly Maids' teams are made up of two employees.) I like all the teams, but one team I especially liked. So, for the last year, I've had this team of two women coming. We're always glad to see each other. They are very likeable people, and I enjoy them. Molly Maids' teams clean thoroughly. Once or twice I've had them go over something again, but only once or twice. I often leave notes around the house to give directions to not clean a certain room or to vacuum this thing that usually doesn't get vacuumed. They always do what I've asked and with a cheerful attitude. I don't recall anything ever being broken, but I've read they have a good rule regarding breakages. I am always happy with the cheerful cleaning I get from Molly Maid of Placer County. I must be, or I wouldn't have been hiring them for ten years.
Description of Work: I have used Molly Maid of Placer County for ten years. I have them come every four weeks to clean my house, while I clean in-between times. I like having Molly Maid come once a month, as they clean better than I can do. And, they do a good job! They clean the whole house, unless I tell them to skip this or that room that particular day. They clean the blinds, the insides of main windows, the glass fixtures on lamps (that they can reach safely); they vacuum cushions on upholstered chairs, make beds, thoroughly clean toilets, and showers/baths, and counters; clean the kitchen sinks and counters well including the inside of the microwave and outsides of appliances; take out trash, vacuum, mop, dust, wipe, polish mirrors, and a myriad other little things. They won't clean something if it's unsafe to reach (as they don't use ladders and such). They even wipe down the light fixture on my front porch. To get the best cleaning service, it is helpful to have toys, clothes, dirty dishes, and other things put away so they don't have to clean around them. Most of the ladies who do the cleaning do speak Spanish (as another reviewer noted). I personally don't mind it at all. Some speak only English. Some speak mostly Spanish. Most are bilingual. I find them to be very nice and courteous people. The ladies on the phone in the office are polite and professional as well as very helpful. They do a good job accommodating any changes I have to make to my normal schedule, and they call to confirm my appointment each month (a day or two before service date). In addition, Molly Maid hires its staff. They are employees of Molly Maid. That is, Molly Maid is not a referral agency for independent cleaning contractors. This means that I am not financially responsible for things like Workman's Comp, other insurance, and that sort of thing. These things are handled by the company for their employees. I'm always home to receive the cleaning team when they come, but if needed by the client the company provides a very secure key service. My house is about 2200 square feet, and it takes two women up to two hours (up to four man hours) to clean my house. They always take at least one and a half hours. For this I pay $140 per service. I started with them ten years ago, and in that time my rate has gone up once, or maybe twice, and that's all. I don't know what the rate might be for new customers. Payment is made at the time of service. So, I just put my check on the counter to be picked up by the Molly Maids when they come. I do give a tip to each woman from time to time...because I really, really appreciate their great help. I really do!

+ -1 moreThey were good but spent a lot of time talking in Spanish. Sometimes their attitudes were not good. I don't think they should talk in Spanish when they are working unless its about the work they are doing. No talking just work. Basically they do a good job, they are trust worthy. Yes I would recommend them to a friend.
Description of Work: Basic house cleaning . It's $120.00 for the down stairs and outside BBQ area. If they go upstairs to dust or make a bed the price goes up $50.00.

+ -1 moreThey are excellent. They are a little pricey, but they are so thorough. If anything is wrong they fix it immediately. They keep the same people with me which are great. I referred them to my daughter who lives in a different area and she was ecstatic with them. They seem to be consistent across their franchise.

They asked me if I want this done or not, and they were very thorough about that kind of thing. I had one situation where I needed not to use bleach on something and they were very accommodating on that.

+ -1 moreI was in a panic because I had in-laws coming for a visit and, as a business owner, my choice was either to neglect my work for clients while I cleaned or have company come to a dirty house. I was an emergency job, but the dispatcher who took the call was pleasant, professional and understanding of my situation. Molly Maid was able to have two extremely competent women come the same day I called. Both were pleasant, asked questions about exactly what I wanted done, confirmed that I was okay with the amount of time spent, and then followed through on everything. They spent approximately three hours and did an amazing job--even were able to magically remove a hard-water ring in an older toilet fixture that I could never figure out how to get rid of. It was such a relief, and I was able to continue taking care of my clients with the peace of mind that the housecleaning part was taken care of. The house looked great! As soon as business picks up a little bit more, I intend to hire them for regular service... In the meantime it's good to know there's someone I can call in a pinch.
