Back in 2011 when we first moved here I interviewed about 10 plumbers. He was a tad bit more expensive than another plumber we were considering. He is an owner-operator. He did a fantastic job.
Description of Work: He changed out old galvanized water line pipes and put in copper pipes.

The first job we needed to have done was, to have on the house we moved into, have the old tubing in there, it wasn't copper, it was a galvanized tubing pipe. We wanted to have those changed out for the incoming water line, take those old galvanized pipes down, and put in copper. He did a fantastic job, I even have more respect for him now, than I did when he did the original job. We had a built in refrigerator and freezer installed, I've sent him the modification by the manufacturer, when he put in the plumbing part, he put the plumbing in for like for a regular refrigerator, that you can move like a stand alone, and it happen to be that, the freezer started flooding water in the kitchen. We called the manufacturer and they said I need to turn the water off, so how do I turn the water off there's no valve, so what we found out was that he installed the built-in refrigerators, the valve has to be accessible, because I called him and he said we'll just pull the freezer out and turn it off, so then I said to him, it's a built-in you can't pull it out, he said it's on rollers, just pull it out, so he said we had to turn the water of this way, I forgot, my husband did it, so they finally got the water turned off. I went back to the original where he was bidding the job, and that's another thing, he bids every job, and that's hard to get with contractors, because a lot of them are good at what they do, but their terrible paper work, so the thing is, because we had a contract for everything that he's done, I had the email and everything, I sent it to him, and I said here's what I said to you, here's what's on page 2, and in big bold letters, it has this thing saying that you have to make the water turn off accessible, you have to run it to the whatever, it was obvious, so he admitted what he did was wrong, he said he will definitely come out and fix it, and wouldn't charge us again and he came out yesterday and he was very friendly about it, he was very nice, he took responsibility for it. I've dealt with people before, even though you have it in writing, and clearly it's their fault, they can still be nasty about it, but he was very nice about it, he came over and he was very personable, and here's the thing, maybe he was upset about having to come out and do that again, but he just have this attitude, like yes, I didn't read the instructions, it was my fault, I'll take care of it, it was the attitude that was everything. For a consumer you are also kind of hesitant, I guess, you can be right all the time, but then sometimes, being right would cost a lot, if you try to force someone to take responsibility, but he made it easy for me, and I felt like I could talk to him. So he's very approachable and I think that's the thing, can you still have a good relationship, when there's a problem? And with him, he's like okay, I just didn't read it, it was my fault, I take responsibility. Then there's another thing, I forgot exactly what it was, there was another thing where he made a mistake, he made a mistake in his bid, really I should have bid a little more because I have to complete this part, we were like that's fair enough, no problem, that's reasonable, it wasn't a bid of huge amount of money, but for him it would have made a difference, so I felt that one was really good, because he could have done something else, so I really appreciate that, I really liked him. So he did the re-plum for us in 2011, then when we remodeled our kitchen he did all the plumbing for that, when we remodeled our bathroom and our masters he did all the plumbing for that, and when we installed our whole house water filter, he did that, and everything, there was no problem or whatsoever, that was the only problem, was the one with the water with the freezer, but he was good about it, but here's the thing, he didn't know, if he was getting another job from us, that's the whole thing, so when he did the re-plumb, that could have been the last job he ever did, when he did the kitchen remodel, that could have been the last job he ever did.
