Description of Work: I had my master bath completely gutted & redone. They took care of dry rot & re-did all walls & floor to ceiling. The tile guy did a masterful job and the plumber was very creative in installing bath vanity and adjusting one drawer due to plumbing location. They also updated electrical run from panel and installed a few extra outlets in hall and bath. I was very happy with work done. They always tried to leave the place clean at end of day. All of the work was completed very nicely. I would recommend Shawn & Home Solutions & hope to have them do my kitchen next year.

Description of Work: I chose Home Solutions after researching several construction companies on Angie's List and interviewing other constructions companies. They were not the cheapest, but I got a good feel from the interview with Shawn. During the planning stage, the owner, Shawn Boelman, was patient as I made changes before settling on a final plan. During construction, Shawn checked in on a regular basis to confirm that the work was being done in a professional manner but his foreman, Joseph, was the person that I dealt with 95% of the time. Joseph made sure everything was perfect, many days coming early or staying late so we would not be living in a mess while they were not here. There were three subcontractors that worked on the bathroom (custom cabinets, shower doors, bathroom counters) each referred by Shawn and did a great job. Every time I look at the finished product I just love it! Not only are these good people they are honest people and I trust them! Thank You Home Solutions!

Description of Work: I purchased a big deal for $4,749 for a Bathroom Remodel Complete with Demolition, Labor, and Materials. The service was pretty good.

Description of Work: Shawn came out and provided a quote however, I needed to direct my finances to a different project. I did not move ahead with the bathroom remodel.

Description of Work: Jeff came out about 6 weeks ago to give me a quote to remodel both bathrooms. He was punctual and seem professional, however, I am still waiting for the bid. I emailed him a week ago (or maybe even longer) asking for it, and he replied promptly and said I would receive it by the next afternoon. I never heard back. Based on this experience of flakiness, I would be hesitant to hire them.

Description of Work: This guy came to do an estimate of what my bathroom and kitchen remodel would cost. He was on time for the appointment, and left his card, saying he'd call back. HE NEVER CALLED BACK!!!! I called him a couple of times. HE STILL NEVER CALLED BACK!!! He's not alone in failing this most basic test of contracting... after all, he could have returned the call and said "Sorry, it's not a job I want to take"... but no. Employ him at your own risk. He's a supposedly "A" rated Angie's list guy. Ha!

Description of Work: Performed all manner of work in a major fixer-upper operation under time pressure as we needed to move in as soon as possible. Within days, our "trashed foreclosure" became a very livable habitation. Demonstrated a wide variety of expertise and knowledge. Was able to suggest and execute suggestions as promptly as humanly possible. Very responsible and trustworthy in terms of costs, procurement of materials, delivery, etc. Extremely pleasant to work with. Can't say enough good things about Home Solutions. If I hadn't come across Home Solutions, I imagine I would have spent two - three times as much, and the work would have taken two-three times as long. This fellow would work 10-12 hour days when needed.
