Working with everyone at GTL was a great experience. From our initial meeting with Tommy to outline the work plan, to our communications with Alicia regarding estimates and scheduling, to the expert painting performed by Andrew and Sam - all went very well. The crew's punctuality and amazing tidiness were also appreciated. We are especially grateful for Andrew's attention to detail, and we love the end result. Definitely considering GTL for finish work on an addition we've got planned.

The initial estimate and walkthrough with the contractor could not have gone better. In addition to a competitive bid, and good reviews on Angie's List, this is why we hired the contractor. However, the paint job itself did not meet my expectations. The paint job was uneven in places where you could see there was not enough paint used to evenly cover some of the walls. Much of the house had paint that had dripped down to where the carpet or tile met the baseboards. Clearly, my experience is not the same as the many people who rave about GTL on Angie's List. I am not sure if there was a miscommunication about the quality of work expected because this was prepping for a sale as opposed to a house we would continue to live in, or if the crew assigned to the job was rushed for some reason. Whatever the reason, the quality of work done was a disappointment. I had asked to have the contractor (the husband) come by and take a look in hopes he would agree that it needed to be corrected, but the wife who is the primary point of contact said he was very busy and it would be difficult for him to stop by. Since the work was passable and we were anxious to get the house on the market we did not pursue the matter. Obviously, I did not post this review in a timely manner so the date and cost of service are approximate.

This is the third time I have hired GTL construction. They also did some interior painting and installed an interior door. Tommy is a very detail oriented contractor who shows pride in his work and his company. Alejandro and Julio power washed the house on Friday. On Monday they repaired cracks and taped windows and doors and covered areas not to be painted. The next day they spray painted the house twice using Dunn & Edwards paint. Trim and accent also got 2 coats of paint. Alejandro and Julio did all the work from start to finish. They were very helpful and did not damage any plants. The job site was cleaned every day and no trash was left. I am impressed with their workmanship and work ethics. I definitely will hire them again. The quality of material and workmanship you receive from GTL Construction is first class.

GTL painted my place just before I moved in several years ago, and I was satisfied with their work, so I called them again when I decided to add crown moulding. The owner then came out to talk about what I wanted and to take some initial measurements. My place is a two-story, 3-bedroom condo and I wanted crown mouldng throughout (including the stairwell) and decorative interior window-trim. I also wanted to enlarge a doorway for easier access to a utility closet. On the first day of work, the installer went over the job with me one more time and then took very detailed measurements. After cutting the moulding on site (in the front yard), he proceeded with the installation work. On the second day, he completed the window trim and cut and fitted the custom utility door. On the third day, two painters prepped and painted almost all the moulding, trim, and door with two coats of paint. On the fourth day, one painter finished up the remaining work in a about two hours. The installer and painters cleaned up as they worked and left my place clean at the end of each day. Overall, I am very satisfied with the appearance of all the new moulding and trim because It makes my place look more upscale. I particularly appreciate how the installer was able to match up the corner pieces such that the seams are barely noticeable. Also, the paint was applied very evenly so that no brush strokes are visible. And the new utility door provides easier access to a confined space. The only "oops" involved the office and the paper work at the beginning of the project. I didn't receive the first e-mail with the estimate, yet no one followed up to check if I had received it. And after I called to ask about it, the estimate was incorrect and had to be exchanged a couple more times. But in the end, it all worked out ok.

Tommy came out and gave the initial bid. We got several bids for comparable work and his was the most reasonable for both painting and door installation. We worked via email with Alicia to make small changes and clarifications to the work to be done She was very responsive to our additional questions and requests for information. After we arrived and the final agreement on what would be done and price we agreed on the start date. There was an opening the Friday before the start date and they sent someone out to pressure wash the house so the painters could get started first thing on Monday. The painters arrived on time and started masking and prepping the house. They were thorough and easy to work with. The next day they started painting and did two coats of the primary house color before going home, spraying and back rolling. The next day they started on the accent work. They pointed out an issue with the paint where the roller marks were visible in certain light. We discussed alternatives and arrived at a mutual agreeable solution to spray a third coat on the front and side of the house where the issue was most visible. They called out a rep from Dunn Edwards, who said it was due to the high pigment level in the paint we had chosen. He provided the additional paint needed at no charge. In all the painting work spilled over into a 5th day, but I appreciated the dedication to quality and attention to detail, so the extra time was worth it. The door was installed the following Monday because the installer had been ill the previous week. The door was installed and painted before he left. GTL was easy to work with, met all our expectations and at a good price. The crew was personable and dedicated to delivering a quality job. They worked with us well and wanted to be sure we were satisfied. All in all it was a good experience and we will happily work with them again.

This company is AMAZING!. I selected this company from the reviews on Angies List and they DID NOT disappoint. I called at the end of February on a Tuesday and Alicia set up an appointment right away (on that Friday) for Tommy to come out and see the house and what I needed. They sent me a quote (following Monday) for the job and the price was less that i had guessed it would be. Alicia scheduled my project right away and even called me to see if they could start earlier since they had a job that rescheudled their start date (I was out of town that week so we kept to our original start date). Carlos showed up on time, started working right away putting on the first coat of paint on the molding, then taking the messurments for each area of crown. He spent several hours outside cutting ALL the molding and placed all the cut molding in each specific room before he left for the day. Carlos showed up the following day on time and starting insalling the molding he cut from the day before. It was amazing to watch him install all that molding and how fast it went up. It looked perfect even without the 2nd coat of paint (painters would finish it the following day). Carlos is a true craftsman that cares about his profession and his workmanship. The painters Sam and Steven showed up on time and got right to work painting the moulding, walls and ceilings. This team of painters are AWESOME!!! They arrived every morning at 8am sharp, and got right to work every day. They are both extreamly friendly, professional and true craftsmen in thier trade. Sam gave me some excellent advice/options (I asked his opinion he did not solicit the extra work) on a few areas in the house that was not on the contract. His advice was spot on!! I called Alicia to see if I could add the work (more walls to paint & cutting a hole in the ceiling and moving a chandallier) and she just made it happen. I was so confortable with Sam and Steven in the house that when I had to leave for the airport one day I gave them a house key to lock up when they left. Both Sam and Steven cleaned up everyday before they left and also move furniture back into place and hung up art work after the room/job was done ( all i had to do was direct them where it went) . Tommy arrived at the end of the job to hang the flex molding (on curved walls) and it all started to look complete. From the start of this project to the end, each and everyone of them were AMAZING!!!! THANK YOU Alicia, Tommy, Carlos, Sam & Steven - You were all true craftsmen and an asset to your company and profession. I am looking forward to my next project and contact with you, I will be requesting my "team" to return on the next job. :-) Thanks again, I am soooooooooo happy job you did for me

GTL is a stellar company! Through the course of preparations, I had the opportunity to speak with Tommy, owner, Alicia, co-owner, and Sam and Steve, the best paint team I've come across - ever, and I grew up around a family of painters. As they say, you get what you pay for, and GTL delivered in spades. They used top quality primer, paint, equipment, and application techniques that resulted in superior results and is sure to provide a long lasting effect. Sam and Steve were genuinely fun to be around, had truly great ideas on home improvements that were not simply linked to upselling additional products (like so many companies do) but a healthy mix of ideas that I encouraged them to share, and were true specialists. Based upon my experience with GTL, I plan to do all my future painting for my home and my grandmothers home With them. Moreover, my first call for any significant home repair will be to GTL - Because I trust them and they deliver on their promises. I cannot say enough wonderful things about GTL Construction!! I absolutely love the work that was done in our home!! The quality is impeccable and it looks beautiful. I am an extremely picky person when it comes to workmanship and I could not be happier with the workmanship and quality of work that Tommy and his crew provided. Everyone associated with the company was professional and pleasant every step of the way. Alicia Lewis who works in the office is an angel who never lost patience with the tons of emails I sent. I had a vision of what I wanted done and Tommy was able to capture that vision in his work. Tommy was also very patient and responsive to the many many questions that I asked. I wish that every business provided the high quality and beautiful work that GTL does and was as responsive and dedicated to great customer service as GTL!! I highly highly recommend GTL. They really really care about their customers and also about the work that they do!

Our home was repainted and also a detached garage. Some dry rot was repaired and other light construction was done. They did very good job and I would hire them again. The workers, Sam and Steve did a very good job and were great to work with. They were also helpful in helping with making decisions about colors.

The owners, Tommy and Alicia, were personable, professional and very responsive. Their crew members, Augustin and Carlos, did an outstanding job. They arrived on time each day and did top notch work. They worked diligently throughout the days they were there, cleaned up the spaces afterward and finished the entire job earlier than expected. We were very pleased with the work they did and would definitely recommend the company to others.

We called GTL Construction and Alicia promptly set us up with an appointment for Tommy to come out to inspect our property. We were impressed with his attention to detail, as he is a general contractor as well as a painter. After receiving multiple bids from painters, we went with GTL. Their bid was not the most expensive and not the cheapest. We were able to schedule our exterior house painting within a reasonable amount of time. The dry rot repair was completed and the painting began promptly. Omar and Luis did a great job. They arrived on time and worked hard and cleaned up daily before they left. We had a delay of a few days because of rain, and the job was completed promptly as soon as the weather allowed. Julio joined the team for the last two days so they could finish the job before the weather turned again. We were very happy with the job they did. When given the option to do a little less or a little more, Omar and Luis always chose to do more, We would definitely recommend GTL to anyone considering hiring a painting contractor.

Excellent work? Tommy Lewis (business owner) came to our house to provide an estimate. He was on time and very professional, answering questions and bringing up questions we might not have thought about. He suggested we get at least three estimates before making our decision. We followed his advice, but were most impressed by what he had to offer. We then scheduled a date to paint the entire interior of our home. Alicia Lewis,(Tommy's wife/office administrator) sent out the estimate with details about how the job would go addressing the legal aspects of the work as well as explaining how we could best prepare for the up coming project. This was very helpful. We selected our paint with their recommendation, tested the color on our walls and were ready to get started. A number of weeks went by and we were hoping they hadn't forgotten about our job.............Sure enough on the date planned, one of Tommy's workmen (Omar) arrived at 8:00am ready to go. Shortly after, another of the crew (Luis) arrived and they got started. Painting the entire interior of one's house often comes close to topping the list of the most stressful things one can do............likened to moving, as most everything ends up in a box. The experience was anything but stressful. Omar and Luis worked from one room to the next, finishing each room as they went along. It was very easy to be in the house while they worked. They were very neat and cleaned up everything when they were ready to leave. Omar would show me what they had done each day, then explained what they would be doing the next day. I was able to come and go from the house without a concern that I would have to keep an eye on them, or that our belongings would go missing. It is difficult to trust people you don't know in your house...........not a problem at all. Omar and Luis were great! Our home looks amazing with that fresh coat of paint. I highly recommend GTL Construction and would certainly hire back Omar and Luis. You won't be disappointed.

Everything was done extremely well and the work was completed earlier than expected. The crew was friendly and easy to communicate with. They made some helpful suggestions and followed through with great work. I will have them back to do some trim and moulding work.

These guys ROCK! If you are fed up with contractors who give you problems and don't respect your time, LOOK NO FURTHER! GTL was very fairly priced and completely professional. I've hired dozens of contractors in just the last year for a variety of projects, including a full backyard renovation and now an interior one, and let me tell you: Good, trustworthy, prompt, fairly priced, efficient contractors are hard to find. It's like striking gold when you do find them. These guys will make you want to hold onto their contact information for future projects so you won't have to go through the headaches of hiring a contractor again. 1) They showed up early in the morning, about 8 or 8:30, and got to work immediately. There was no procrastination or unpredictability. I didn't have to constantly look over their shoulders. They were respectful of my time. 2) The crown molding guy was amazing. My husband and I have installed crown in several of our rooms, and I've NEVER seen such quick and accurate cuts! It was like MAGIC. The guy just measured, cut, installed and it was perfect the first time! I don't have square rooms. I have funky angles, like around my bay window. But the crown guy was done painting and installing perfectly cut molding -- even in very high places -- in less than 4 hours. 3) The paint guys came in and taped everything off, covered my stuff with plastic and did an excellent job. The walls are just beautiful, and the molding paint work is very straight and nice looking. 4) They cleaned up very well. There are no paint drips anywhere, and the last guy to leave swept behind him. Very professional. I will more than likely hire them for more projects.

From initial contact, to the bidding process and the repairs, everything was done to the highest professional standards. The owner's Tommy and Alicia have been great to work with and Augustine, the individual that did the repair work, was outstanding. He showed up early and worked late. His craftsmanship was excellent and he took care of all the dry-rot issues and brought the repair areas up to "like new" standards. It was very nice having one contractor that can do the repair work and the painting. So far so good, we're looking forward to the painting. I would highly recommend GTL Construction.

GTL Construction is very easy to work with and very prompt in their correspondence. I was able to get the door replaced a couple weeks earlier than initially expecting. Alicia was great and getting back to me via email and phone and Tommy was very helpful when picking a door without being pushy. There were some costs that I did not know about (I know to ask from now on) such as an additional $100 because I wanted the interior side of the door a different color. I also had to ask them to come back to pick up the scrap lumber and old door and help me clean up the threshold where it met the floor - it was uneven and unfinished. There is also a screw in the middle that is not flush and quite an eyesore but am told that there was nothing that can be done because my floor is uneven. They were there the next day at 7:30am and cleaned up everything very well - after thism last visit, I was very pleased with the final product and service. I would definately use them again!

Everything went well, the crown moulding looks wonderful. We could tell how much pride the owner has in the quality of work he provides. He was helpful in selecting the right moulding for each room and had good suggestions for additional rooms we might consider for installing moulding. The company was very responsive to emails and questions and the work was scheduled and completely timely. I would definitely recommend GTL Construction. They are friendly, responsive and provide high quality, beautiful work.

As stated, arrived on appointment date at time scheduled, submitted complete estimate within 2 days. Very professional, responsive, well, Alicia was extremely responsive, which means he was responsive. We decided to go with another contractor, but I was totally satisfied with all of my contacts with this company and would recommend him to someone else who was looking for a bid on a job.

We had no complaints at all. The installation was done quickly and carefully. There was no mess at all from the painting. Carlos was professional and courteous at all times. He was a very diligent worker, and the project was completed without delay. The quality of the work was excellent. We were very happy with Tommy and GTL when they worked for us earlier, and I'm happy to say that they continue to do great work. I would certainly recommend them.

GTL was great to work with. Tommy really knows his stuff, and provided an accurate, timely bid. Alicia runs the office, and she was great to work with as well. She over-communicated - something I really appreciated when trying to coordinate my work schedule and little concerns I had about the job. They handled it well. She always got back to me - usually within a few hours. We communicated mainly through email which was very convenient. Tommy's employees were prompt, polite and worked really hard... even one of my neighbors came by to tell me how hard they were working while I was at work! They also recommended a stone mason to put up rock facing around the front of the house. That all went very well too. There were concerns along the way as one would expect, but nothing out of the ordinary. What was unique in my experience was the response, the communication and their desire to do the best job possible. The house looks brand new, and we are very pleased with the work done. Nice job guys!

I was thrilled with the work performed by GTL Construction. They not only patched the ceiling where I had new lighting installed but patched all area's of my wainscotting and walls. My home was not maintained well by the previous owners so there was a lot of little flaws to remedy and they did it perfectly, you cannot tell where the knicks and holes were. They painted my ceilings and doors as well as the wainscotting and walls. The lines between the white ceiling and brown walls are amazing, especially since I have the orange peel texture on my walls. I know from past experience that it is nearly impossible to get a straight cut line between colors so was amazed at how straight the line is. Several friends and family have come by and all have remarked on what a beautiful paint job! I would and have recommended GTL Construction for services.

GTL was a great choice to paint the interior of our new home. Because our house has some funky interior angles and beams, we were pretty resolved to find a contractor who could deliver some exacting work. We're happy to say that the GTL crews aced the project. Everyone I met at my home, and the owners who I met with and spoke to on the phone -- were always pleasant, positive, and actually listened to us. (What a concept!) When the crews wrapped up the project, there were a few items on the walk-through which we asked to be addressed. No problem at all, we were told. Everything was quickly fixed up, and the owner politely asked us not to pay the invoice until we were 100% pleased with their work. Bottom line -- when we have our next project needing a contractor, we'll be sure to reach out to GTL again. A final FYI -- these were the only painters I can ever recall who neatly bagged up and took with them all the trash from the job. Nice touch!

Excellent work. Carlos primed and installed crown molding. Another crew followed with painting the ceilings. Everyone was professional, pleasant, punctual and cleaned up well when they were done. Very respectful of our requests and property. Alicia was also professional and responsive on the business end. Very much appreciate the discount provided via Angie's List.

THE NORDSTROM OF PAINTING COMPANIES!!!!!!!!!! Color choices? Understanding what was entailed? How the whole process would work? Whens and whys. . .all questions were professionally as well as. . .*looking for the word* . . .graciously answered. Graciously might not be the buzz word usually ansewred on reviews, but in this case. .. . it is truly the Nordstrom of painting companies!!!!!!!!!!! We looked for a long time to find the right painter. It is stressful because we want it to be done fabulously, but we have a budget. So where do you go? Well, we got a lot of estimates. And in doing so we met a lot of painters. So when we met with this company, we were completely impressed and knew that we wanted them to help us make our house into the dream vision that we had in mind. YOU WILL BE SO HAPPY!!!!!! Our house looks AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
