As I stated above - I can't say enough good things about GTL Construction. I would highly recommend GTL to anyone who asks.

I am tickled pink. I finally have pretty walls. I have been wanting baseboards installed for years, but no one wants to do them. Then at the Home and Garden show in Woodland this spring I meTommy of GTL Construction. I am so happy with them and Tommy.

GTL gave us an estimate that was more cost effective than the other estimate we received and Tommy was very personable as well as professional. He brought a book with many examples of his work and referred us to his web page for testimonials from other customers. The work was estimated for 3 days and was completed in exactly that amount of time. Tommy and his help were punctual and cleaned up after themselves daily. This new crown molding has totally transformed our home and is excellent in quality and appearance. We would recommend GTL Construction to anyone wanting to update or improve their home.

I was in the process of building a brand new custom home when the General Contractor I had hired stopped paying the subcontractors (causing liens to be filed) and stopped working. I called GTL to give me an estimate for some of the remaining work and Tommy met with me on a week night around 7:00 p.m. to look at the job (I think it was the next day after I called). Tommy and Alicia were very considerate of my apprehension towards contractors after my previous experience. They worked with me and gave me a very good price and I felt very comfortable with Tommy's attitude and personality. Tommy understood my tight schedule and I think he must have worked about 14 days straight, including weekends, to get the job done on time. I know most nights he was there until 7:00 or 8:00 p.m. and some nights after 10:00. He never complained and even took the time to help me do some extra things I needed help with which I am very appreciative for! He also had to be creative and find solutions to make some of the prior contractor's bad work unnoticeable. Tommy listened well to my requests and critiques and if I asked him to make minor changes, he did so with no problems and no Change Orders! He gauranteed his initial price and customer satisfaction. He gave me suggestions that were very helpful as well. I talked to a number of contractors before finding GTL Construction and almost all of them did not want to follow after I fired the prior General Contractor. GTL was super responsive, understood my issues and worked with me to get the job completed on time. Tommy is one of the hardest workers I have met, is a really nice guy and is easy to get along with. He is honest, goes above and beyond, and keeps his word. I ended up with much more quality than I expected!

Tommy arrived right on time to check out our job. We had started a cabinet refinishing project, but had to get it finished right and fast due to our planned move from the area. We had already stripped the doors and had attempted (poorly) to paint them. Tommy took the whole lot - 25 doors and 8 drawers that needed the faces replaced. He did a fantastic job and had them ready right when he promised. I had to push the delivery out due to a personal issue and Alicia and Tommy promptly fit me in to their busy schedule when I returned. My wife Michelle is a graphics designer, and we affectionately call her "The Hammer" when it comes to Home Improvement QA. After Tommy installed everything, all identified issues were completed to her satisfaction. I aspire to that someday. Thanks Alicia and Tommy. You made my day!

Very happy with the door and the work that was done. The door for some reason was not exactly the right size (not the installers fault) so the existing trim was too small and would not cover the door opening so he had to buy new trim so that added to the estimate that I was given but that was an unexpected expense.

Tommy did an amazing job with our nursery. His work was top notch and his price was more than ffair. We will definitely use GTL - Tommy again for future home improvement projects.

GTL did an excellent job, and went above and beyond to fix some of my prior painting mistakes.

Tommy arrived on time. If he was held up by traffic, he called ahead. Samples of moulding were available to view. He described in detail what he would do. He was professional at all times, his service was affordable. His work was performed in a timely manner, it was obvious from the start he knew what he was doing. He work quickly but with an eye to detail. You will absolutely love the finished product. I did not pay until he was finished and I approved the final product. You will love the added touch of detail to your home. Yes! I do recommend him. He is a man of his word.

Wonderful customer support and attention to customer concerns. Tommy and Alicia are a great team and are committed to having satisfied customers. Tommy arrived on time and was eager to answer questions and assist with product selection. Work was completed as agreed upon and on time. Alicia followed up with all emails and phone calls and was clearly dedicated to excellent customer satisfaction.

We met GTL construction at the Home and Garden Show. We called and asked them for an estimate. Tom came out and measured our rooms and sent us a written estimate via email. We called him and accepted his estimate. He gave us a date for our crown moulding install. GTL showed up on the date they said they would and completed the job. All clean up was done and paint touch up.

I'm in the process of undertaking a kitchen remodel project and wanted GTL Construction to install the crown molding based on the work they completed for my next door neighbor and the numerous outstanding reviews I read about on Angie's List. Tommy suggested that he could install the two bedrooms and home office now and complete the kitchen after the remodel was done so dust from that project wouldn't compromise the finished look of the crown molding. Alicia was in contact with me by phone and email throughout the holidays to schedule an appointment and answer questions. Her pleasant personality and responsiveness to my questions is greatly appreciated. I was a little surprised when Tommy arrived by himself to install the crown molding. That's because I already had crown molding installed by another contractor in the great room and master bedroom on two separate dates and it took two people to install it plus a third person to caulk and paint it. Both times the total installation took three days for each room. Tommy completed both bedrooms and the home office in one day by himself. I was totally amazed at how efficiently he worked and the attention to detail in completing the job. Tommy was careful to cover the furniture with plastic to prevent the possibility of paint from falling on it and meticulously cleaned up the area when he completed the job. He even touched up some areas with paint on a bedroom wall that had been nicked. Tommy and Alicia Lewis of GTL Construction definitely lived up to their reputation as Angie's List 2008 Best Contractors and are well on their way to repeating that feat in 2009!

Met Tommy at a home show very knowledgeable, and helped with some ideas with a different problem we were having. After my husband decided to install the baseboards himself, he incorrectly placed the baseboards all the way to the floor, and then he went out of town, Tommy worked very hard to work us into his schedule to install new baseboards correctly, so that we could meet our other deadlines. Tommy s work was done quickly and looks great. My husband even appreciated having the baseboards off the floor when a wire could be run underneath the baseboards instead of having to go through the drywall.

After comparing GTL with other companies in the area we decided to go with GTL because of their professionalism, their quick response and overall their price! We were so glad that we did. Tommy did a superb job with our crown moulding. He did a triple stack crown moulding in our living room that turned out looking awesome. He definitely takes his time to paint around the crown moulding as well as making sure that the job is done right - no matter how long it takes him to do it. His dedication to the quality of his work can definitely be seen. We are so pleased with his work that we are going to have him come back to do some more work in our home. With so many contractors to choose from, we're very glad we found one that takes pride in his work and gets the job done RIGHT - all for an excellent price!

My experience with GTL construction was exceptional. A friend recommended them to me and she was right on. The most important thing for me, having a very picky husband, was the quality, and the quality of the work done at my house was amazing, for a more than reasonable price. My husband had nothing but praise for Tommy's workmanship. Every corner was so exact, and the paint job was just perfect. Beyond the work, what set Tommy apart from other contractors I have worked with was his friendly and respectful manner. He was so easy-going with our hectic move-in needs and willing to accommodate us in every way. This work added so much charm and value to our once wall-to wall plain and all-over white house. I highly recommend Tommy and GTL construction for you woodworking needs.

Wow!!! It was a wonderful experience. My old kitchen now looks like a modern kitchen with the new paint and crown molding. They exceeded my expectations and at a very reasonable price. The crew was prompt and respectable and left the job clean and picked up of all old construction materials. Tommy helped me out with my final choices of colors and design. I can't believe how wonderful my house looks with new paint inside and out. I would have never have believed that my old home could be made to look so modern. I would recommend GTL construction for their professionalism and affordability to anyone. Oh, my husband was very happy with the estimate, which was right on and below any other estimate we received. He said we got more than our money's worth. At this time, we are trying to figure out how we can afford to be able to have GTL construction do other rooms of our home. My experience with GTL Construction was great from start to finish. I am finishing up remodeling the interior of my house. The crown molding work that GTL Construction did was very reasonably priced, and the quality is fantastic! Between the immediate and friendly response I got from their office to set up an appointment, the knowledgeable assessment by Tommy of the amount of work to be done, the very competitive pricing, and the speed and quality of the job, I would have to say that this was the easiest experience I've had in getting work done, ever! I definitely recommend that other people hire GTL Construction! This is a family-run business that certainly delivers high-quality work, and the beauty and value of my home have definitely gone up thanks to them.

GTL Construction is the company to go to for crown moulding. Tommy's bid was very reasonable. He arrived on time, was enthusiastic and friendly and very knowledgeable and professional. The moulding was up in all five areas the first day and was painted and completed the next. Job looks terrific and he does a thorough clean up. I'd recommend his services to anyone.

I solicited estimates from 4 separate contractors for the job - painting the interior of my house and refinishing my kitchen cabinets, and chose GTL Construction. Tommy started the project promptly on the scheduled day, and finished the job when he said it would be completed - on time, and at the cost he estimated. I found Tommy to be very detailed oriented and conscientious - his standards exceeded even my own, particularly with the refinished cabinets: they look better than I imagined they would. He also installed 4 electrical fixtures, which turned out perfect and look like they were part of the house from the beginning. Tommy was professional, responsive, did excellent work and was genuinely a pleasure to work with.

It went exceptionally smooth and we were so happy with Tommy's work that we bought a gift for his child to express our appreciation. Tommy was professional and accommodating. Though we started with him for painting only, we soon gave him contract to fix the whole house. He did an exceptional job with minimum supervision. He stuck to his price and didn't nickle and dime for many minor items that came along the way. A wonderful person to work with!

First the bad part. I originally asked Tommy to put up some crown moulding in my home to spruce it up a bit. The bad part being that everytime he finished a job, it looked so amazing that I wanted it in yet another room. And then of course, once he showed me what he could do with my boring 1962 door casings, I had to have those as well. A few dinner parties and more compliments and two years later and GTL has redone most of my home's walls and entrances. We recently had our wedding in the home, something we would have never considered before he began. People who I hadn't seen the home in years were amazed at the transformation that had taken place. From being one of the plain homes on the block, I can now say that the only house that is nicer than mine in the neighborhood is the family who completely tore everything down. Unfortunately I have a new job and have to move now that everything is completed but I know the rent I am going to get will be much higher now than it would have been so I am happy. Great work GTL and thanks for everything (even building the wedding gazebo in one day when the rental company sent us an ugly one!) Manuel and Madeleine.

EXCELLENT!!! Tommy's work ethic far exceeds most contractors in his industry. He is hardworking, honest and reliable. He worked in our home for a week and was here everyday, on time and had a great attitude and worked hard everyday to achieve his project completion goals. The quality of Tommy's work is some of the best we have seen. We had two people in our home to install crown molding previously and Tommy's work was by far the best. He even had to repair some of the previous installers work.
