The quoting process was fantastic. They promptly responded to our call, and quickly scheduled a free estimate. When the estimating process began, we gave a list of things that we wanted accomplished to sell our house, and were given a quote on the things that GTL completed as well as some tips on how we could complete other projects ourselves. The work was scheduled quickly as soon as we approved the quote. We were given an approximate timeframe for completion (3 days), and the sub-contractor who was to perform the work arrived on-time each day. They even finished a day early! The quality of the work was impeccable. You couldn't even tell that the crack had been there--they were able to blend the old and new texture perfectly. The paint job on the cabinets was flawless as well. With both projects, once the clean-up was done you couldn't even tell that anyone had been there. There wasn't a spec of paint, texture, or other materials left where it shouldn't be. If we hadn't moved away from the area, we would definitely use GTL again. It was a fantastic experience, especially for home-improvement newbies like us.

Three painters arrived on time to start the job. They meticulously covered all necessary surfaces and moved furniture as needed. They first painted all the baseboards which, because the prior paint was oil-based, required sanding, a primer, and two coats of paint. They then painted all the door casings in the same manner. They were very neat and tidy. Moved furniture out of the way to paint and then put it back in place. They painted the ceilings of a two-story family room and two-story foyer. They sprayed the ceilings after covering EVERYTHING with plastic sheeting and taping up sprinkler heads, lights, etc. They were very meticulous again in not letting paint get anywhere it shouldn't be. Then they painted the walls in the two areas. The family room was a dark brown which required careful trimming. Their sharp, straight lines between adjoining wall colors were amazing. They put all the furniture back and cleaned up very well. They were always on time and worked hard the whole time they were in the house.

Started the work on time. Was very responsive to some requested modifications. Work was clean and finished on time. They even did some additionally requested work for no cost.

Awesome! Tommy and his crew were on time, profession, polite, did a nice thorough job w/ moulding, base, casings, shelf and painting and they cleaned up! Will definitely use them in future!

Fantastic Job! Tommy recommended using color versus my original dull off-white choice and I will be forever thankful. Everyone loves it! His crew (Carlos and Edgar) were meticulous in every aspect of the painting project. They were both extremely accurate with those paint brushes (every time I use the bathroom I am amazed at how they could cover the existing paint without somehow accidently getting paint where it was not supposed to be). I don't usually recommend companies but would easily recommend GTL for your painting needs.

There?s a reason GTL Construction received a Super Service Awards from Angie?s List ? they?ve earned it! Tommy Lewis was exceptional to work with, very easy going and very helpful in guiding me in the painting of accent walls. Contacting GTL was never a problem, as Alicia answered the phone promptly or would call back in less the 10 minutes. When we moved into our house, the interior color of the entire house was a ?yellow/beige? color (even the ceilings). We both LIKE COLOR, and wanted a major change from the existing color. However, up until the morning the painters arrived, we still weren?t sure as to what color we wanted to paint the walls. Carlos, GTL?s foreman, was helpful in the color selection. He offered guidance (when asked) on how one color would match with the other. First, the ceilings were painted white, and WHAT AN IMPROVEMENT! The color?s we chose were Dangerous Robot as the primary color, and Falling Rock as the accent color, and I must say that both the paint application & colors look SPECTACULAR! How they can create such a straight line is a mystery to me! We were extremely pleased with the interior painting that GTL Construction did for us. I highly recommend hiring GTL Construction for your painting jobs.

From beginning to end, the job went extremely well. The finished product is beautiful and exceeded our expectations. The entire crew was polite, professional and extremely conscientious. We intend to have them return in the fall to add crown moulding to the remaining rooms in our home. I would highly recommend them without hesitation!

Tommy came up with a creative and cost-effective solution to repair/refinish the wood trim in our 1940s era bungalow...including "borrowing" original wood window/door trim from bedroom closets that he refinished and used in our entry and living room, so that we didn't have to have new trim replicated at greater cost. He also helped us select economic ready-to-use trim for the walls that suited the style of the house and fit within our budget. The end product was wonderful, and gave us a finishing touch that really makes the room complete. Tommy and his wife, Alicia, are very personable and it was a joy to work with them. They'll definitely be our go-to company for future projects!

Fantastic work from start to finish!

The prior owner of my house had painted the bedrooms two extremely dark and ugly colors, including a full wall mural in one of the bedrooms. Tommy was easy to work with and flexible in breaking down the costs to paint the walls and/or the trim to allow me to choose how much I could afford to get done. The estimate seemed really reasonable and he talked me thru different options for additional improvements and answered all my questions! He was really open to coming back later do additional work and I did not feel pressured to get everything done at once. The painting turned out great and his crew were friendly, punctual, and did great work. I was so happy to come home to a bright and light bedroom. I have already requested another bid to paint the living room.

Tommy and his crew did a great job. He estimated that the project would take 5 days and they were finished in 4, even with the additional side project of texturing one of the closets. The doors were up and the drywall was patched the first day. The second day all of the baseboards and crown moulding were installed and the drywall was textured. The third day the drywall was sanded and a leftover electrical project, including can lighting and a ceiling fan was completed. The final day was just finishing-up and making sure everything was in order. Excellent work all around and even though my rooms aren't painted, I get ooohs and aahhhhs about the changes and people can't believe the ceilings in my house are only 8 feet and they say crown moulding makes them look taller. Tommy is a professional and a true craftsman, I have already recommended him to a few friends.

Calling to get an estimate was very easy and quick. Tommy is great. He always shows up when expected (many contractors do not) and the job was completed on time. The crown moulding turned out BEAUTIFUL and the chair rail in our nursery was even more gorgeous. The garage was painted quickly and looked great as well. I have a rental house that I have to maintain and GTL is our new "go to" for repairs and upgrades. Tommy even stopped painting to help me fix my dishwasher. I have never received better service from a contractor. :)

WOW!!! All I can say is this man is SUPER talented!!! The house turned out amazing!

GTL provided a quote to install crown moulding throughout our entire house. We then decided to only have the moulding installed in the dining room. We received quotes from other painters, but GTL offered a very competitive bid, so we chose them to paint as well. We had some timing issues with their painter, but overall we were very satisfied and would definitely use them again.

It is so nice to deal with friendly and competent professionals! Alicia and Tommy were truly great to work with throughout the entire process. The work was exceptional and they accommodated my timeframe which made me a very happy customer! I would highly recommend GTL Construction to everyone (and have!).

Outstanding in every way. Tommy was extremely professional. Arrived on time, cleaned up and all the hoped for services done to perfection. Tommy is not only extremely capable, he is quite the gentleman. Very courteous and hard working. Never stopped working at all, while maintaining an excellent attitude. The crown moulding that he installed is absolutely fantastic - the extra wall painting was of equally high standard - he has good employees. We couldn't be happier with his services and will be certain to use him again when the exterior of our house needs work, or, in fact, any other similar kinds of work around our house needs to be done - A great job. .

Flawless. The experience was first rate from quote to completion. Tommy and his team are professional, honest and the kind of folks you would trust to have in your house even if you're not at home. We'll be doing some additional remodeling next year and will definitely use them again. Bravo!

Everything went so smoothly and communication was always great, so I felt good about what was happening even when there were road bumps.

Overall it was a VERY user friendly professional company to work with. GTL Construction (Tommy (Carpenter) and Alicia (Administrative Assistant) made our home look BEAUTIFUL! From Start to Finish it took only 6 days of crown molding/window and door trim installation and painting all the walls in our home from stem to stern.

GREAT! Tommy had previously did crown molding in our entire home and his work was of such great quality that we had him back to do the wainscoting work. The crown molding was like icing on a cake and the additional work gave more WOW factor to our home.

Despite the fact, that this company received multiple citations from the state contractors license board, the contractor still refuses to assume the responsibility of paying money rightfully owed to me. This means that I need to, once again, sue the contractor for money owed using the court system unnecessarily and spending money because of this contractor's lack of integrity in assuming responsibility for his defective workmanship. Hence, before you consider hiring this contractor, check his license status with the state contractors license board. Be very cautious, because this contractor may jeopardize your health and safety. Stated differently, don't hire this contractor!

After many frustrations of trying to located the right contractor.... I found Tommy at GTL Construction. Oh my! Tommy was not only prompt for the sales call, his pricing was very reasonable and showed up to work right when he said he would. He finished a day early. I am very picky and live in a high end house. Tommy's work was very detailed and came out great! He gets a AAA+++. I would definetly hire him again.

Estimate went smoothly, and commuication before and during project was excellent. Emails were always returned within an hour or so. Total project took 3 days to complete. Tommy took his time to make sure the final project was a true work of art! He was also a very pleasant person to work with and to have in our home. Overall, the entire experience and final product was nothing short of outstanding! We cant wait to have him back to do more work in the future.

Painted and installed. GTL construction was great to work with. Tommy, of course, did an excellent job and made good suggestions and put up with our backseat designing too. The house looks like a show place now. He had two other people helping that were very nice. Would recommend them without hesitation.
