They came in at $7,500 so I decided to go with them; they will start the job next week.

It was a pleasure dealing and working with GTL. Tommy and Alicia were extremely professional. Tommy's estimate and suggestions sold us on the deal. We were kept advised as to the start and finish date. Our job was started a week earlier then scheduled which good for us, and thy finished a day early. I cannot say enough about the crew who worked on our home. Carlos, San and Antonio were the epitome of professionalism. Their skill and work ethic reminded me of how tradesmen worked int he 50''s. No useless chatter, no loud music playing, just work. They kept us informed as to how the job was progressing and made suggestions that would make the end product more than we expected. Each day at the end of work they would make sure that we were comfortable and could access whatever we needed for the evening. As painters I don't think you could possibly fine better. I will, and already have, recommended GTL to relatives, friends and neighbors.

Very prompt response on phone from Alicia; Tommy came out to do estimate. Both are very friendly. Tommy is a great listener and was clearly focused on trying to match what I wanted and doing a quality job. A start date was agreed upon. One day on dry rot repair, one day prep, 2 days painting. Every appointment made was on time. Alicia kept me informed and checked in frequently during the process (phone, email) and made it clear how I could reach her quickly. The workers were friendly, professional, and seemed to actually enjoy working! They did a great job of painting, very thorough, professional. They even did some extras for me - replaced light fixtures, house number, door bell - that I had not thought about at the time of the estimate. They were eager to exceed my expectations. Tommy came out after the job to do a walk through and had some workers come back out the next day to touch up some minor things. All in all was one of the best service experiences I have had (thankfully).

We had just purchased a house and the whole interior had dated paint and the walls were dirty. We bought premium paint that did not cover well, so that Tommy's crew had to do additional coats of paint on walls that already had two coats. Some areas required 3 or more coats to fully cover. The house also has many different angles and different wall planes, so that it was much more difficult than just painting a fully right angle room. Tommy quoted us a price for the project and stayed in that bid even with the difficulties and added work. The painting work that was done was excellent. In addition to the walls we had the interior of the garage painted as well exterior doors and closets and those were done beautifully as well. There were other little projects that needed taking care of as too. The toilet paper holders were all replaced with flush mounted holders. That required the holes in the walls to be repaired. The crew matched the texture of the existing walls perfectly where you can't tell that they were repaired. A built in desk unit needed to be removed and hauled off. Tommy did this without charging extra. The crew cleaned up after themselves and when the project was done Tommy came by to walk through the project with us to make sure we were satisfied. We were very satisfied.

At first I was wondering whether we were in their service area, as we live in Old North Sac and their HQ, so to speak, is in the Rocklin area. But they go everywhere over the Sacramento area, so that was a pleasant relief because I really wanted them from what I saw on Angie's List. Before Sam and Carlos showed up, Tommy came by, did a walk around the house, and after a few days gave us a detailed estimate. He was very friendly. Our primary contact after that was his wife, Alicia, who was wonderful to work with, and who calmly and cheerfully responded to every email I sent her regarding this and that detail of the contract and the schedule for getting the work done. Then the guys came and did the work (as described above). I would recommend these people without reservation. It's nice to work with a "Mom and Pop" business that is really more than that, because they are thoroughly professional, exceptionally detailed. They not only do exterior painting, but interior stuff, and interior construction projects. So they are quite versatile and have a depth of talent. All of that shows up in the results. P.S. Tommy personally came out to make an adjustment to the front door after the work was finished, at no extra cost. Incredibly nice people.

Working with GTL was a great experience. The administration was delightful, the owner personally worked and the crew did exceptional work.

From start to finish, GTL Construction, specifically Alicia and Tommy handled my painting project with timely and professional service. Since I live out of town, this was especially important. They made immediate contact, and kept in touch daily, even accommodating the short time window, I would be in town to supervise. Prior to painting, a lead paint inspection and landscape removal, needed to be done. Alicia stepped in and found suitable and reasonable sub-contractors for me to enlist. I arrived in town knowing everything was ready to go. The actual painters Eddie and Julio, were on time daily, thorough and neat, and extremely polite and friendly. They always informed me of what they planned to accomplish daily, and when I would need to be on site for door and window painting. The prep work, painting, and clean-up, including the take down and put-back of numerous electrical fixtures were impeccable. It is easy to see why GTL, received such high marks in Angie’s list and I highly recommend them to anyone.

They made time in their schedule to come in earlier than scheduled to paint one of our bedrooms, walls & ceiling, prior to a delivery of furniture. It was the most perfect painting job I've seen. The seams between the walls and the ceiling was flawless, even though the painter knew they were coming back in 1 1/2 weeks to install crown molding. When they came for our originally scheduled appointment, they enclosed a wide archway by building in the walls, sides & top, and installed a doorway. It looks as if it had built that way from the beginning. They were able to perfectly match the texture and paint as well. Then they installed crown molding throughout the entire 3,500 sq ft house. I can't stop myself from looking up and admiring their work each time I walk into a room. To top it off at the last minute I had them add casings around the 2 windows and closet as well as higher baseboards in the bedroom they painted...my bedroom. I love it! I would recommend GTL to everyone. They are the only ones I would call if I ever need anything done again in the future.

Working with Alicia & Tommy and the GTL crew was a fantastic experience from start to finish. They are incredibly professional and really on top of their business. Alicia is very responsive and helpful and made sure we had all of the information we needed each step of the way through the process and I had a great gut feeling after meeting with Tommy the first time. His attention to detail and suggestions were above and beyond what I've seen during the bidding process. You could tell that he takes a lot of pride in the quality work that they do. As a nice surprise, we were actually able to get on their schedule two weeks earlier than we originally scheduled and we jumped at the opening. Omar and Julio were the painters who actually did the work and I can't say enough great things about them both. My husband and I are perfectionists when it comes to the work that's done in our home and they far surpassed the quality we were hoping for. Their lines were straight and their attention to detail throughout the entire process was much appreciated. Not to mention that they showed up on schedule every day and kept the workspace incredibly clean. It didn't feel like an intrusion to have them in the house at all. Tommy did the final walk through with us and we were incredibly pleased with the results. We would definitely hire them again in a heartbeat and would recommend them without question.

Great. They gave prompt and friendly service throughout the transaction. Quick response for a quote. Made extra effort to get the work done quickly which was my special request. Called and offered to come a day earlier than scheduled, which I took them up on. Came and got the work done in one day ... did a great job. Very Happy.

We wanted the molding to be done out of wood instead of fiber board. Even though the cost of the material was higher, GTL’s price was a very fair one. They were punctual and competent and very professional. They answered all of our concerns. For example, one family member has chemical sensitivities and we needed to use low VOC paint. This was no problem for them. The outcome of the work was excellent. We were very very happy with the way it came out. We recommend them highly and would not hesitate to use them again for any future remodeling work.

Tommie the owner came and estimated the bid. He is very friendly and easy to work with. Alicia is his wife and she is fabulous right on her game and this was during a move and having a one month old baby. She handled all the admin and timing. They started on the 19th and finished on the 27th as they said they would. Omar, Eddie and Julio did all the painting and they were meticulous and happy to do what ever we asked. They painted one room twice as my wife changed her mind on color and it was no problem. Tommie did the crown molding and it looks terrific. They kept everything neat and tidy considering we had furniture that needed to be protected. They were very professional and really strive to do excellent work and they did. They were competitive in their bid. Not the cheapest but the best. I have had numerous houses painted and GTL is hands down the BEST I have ever hired. I highly recommend GTL to do your painting .

They did a beautiful job and the crown molding looks gorgeous! Overall, they went out of their way to make us happy and fix things.

From the initial estimate I was impressed by Tommy's knowledge and professionalism. He explained how he would intall the crown moulding in a unique area that had 3 angles that had to blend together. GTL showed up exactly when promised, performed tjhe work in a timely manner, painted everything and cleaned up so that I hardly knew they had come. I had already hired someone else to paint the walls or I would have had them do the entire job. They came back after the walls were painted and touched up the crown moulding. If you hire them you will get your money's worth. Excellent job.

Excellent. Tommy was very good at assessing needs and options, Alicia very responsive with estimates and scheduling, Sam and Omar at skilful and careful painting,as well as moving and covering furniture, wall hangings, etc. Very pleasant and professional.

Work started on time and finished early. Painters were friendly and professional.

He did a lot of work. Everything is holding up very well. There was good and bad. To me the bad was so bad that I wouldn't use him again but there was so much good also. It was so frustrating that it turned me off. The quality of the work was good. His price was very, very good. He was very honest and personable. His professionalism was really bad. He's a nice person but he was impossible to get a hold of and wouldn't return phone calls. I never knew when he would show up. He would never call me to tell me what was going on; I always had to call him to see if they were coming to do the work. It wasn't him that was coming; he had contracted it out to two other people. I was always trying to find him. He was such a nice guy that I made a huge mistake and paid him the full price ahead of time and then I really had a hard time trying to find him. I knew he would eventually come back but I let him know via email that I was documenting a paper trail. His professionalism was lacking. His wife was good and would answer the phone and take the messages but he never would return the phone calls. She did her best. She was a very sweet and nice gal. The job did get finished. He did the doors and his employees did the painting. They did a very nice job on the work. The workers were very conscientious, pleasant and polite. I didn't feel like they were rummaging through my things so that part was very positive. I didn't get any creepy feelings; they were all very professional.

I found them on Angie's list where they had an excellent rating. I called for an estimate. The owner showed up on time. He was very professional and provided a complete estimate. I called and asked for a few more small items. He responded the same day in each case. I hotified him we wanted to proceed. He started in about3 days. It took about 3 1/2 days to do all the work. They usually had 2 workers on the job every day, all day. They were very clean, left mo dirt or paint marks, removed all trash and the removed items. They had a problem in that one day, there was a 25 mile per hour wind blowing leaves, trash and dirt into the garage and house when the doors were open. The kept the mess to a minimum and cleaned everything up before they were done. They did their work planning very well, getting the plaster work done early so it would set before they needed to paint. I have already hired them to do another job.

On time. finished as planned. Went very well.

The painting took more time than originally stated ( Monday-Friday with the walk through on Saturday) but they were able to complete the work over the weekend with the walk through the following Saturday. Both Tommy and Alicia are very professional, prompt and friendly. The crew of painters were also professionals, showed up on time and were able to finish the work which I thought was interminable. They were reassuring and got the job done. Tommy did the final inspection with me the following Saturday and all the touch ups were taken care of. I would definitely use GTL again. As a matter of fact, I am. They are coming back to do the stairs' railing. They will be restoring them to their natural wood color. I rate this company an A+ for the overall experience.

Each of the project bid appointments were scheduled by Alicia, who is extremely responsive and professional. Tommy Lewis, the owner always comes out to measure and find out the scope of the work and then within a day or two I receive the bid via email (my preferred communication) complete with contract specifics. I usually get two additional bids for any work I have and GTL consistently comes in with a competitive price and works really hard to accommodate my schedule. I like the fact that the painting crew are actual employees of GTL and not subs. This fall we had to dodge some rainy weather but every effort was made to complete the projects in a timely manner. I also appreciated Tommy's communication with the neighbors and the thoroughly clean-up that was practiced daily and at the end of the job. I highly recommend GTL!

The cracks and nail holes disappeared and not anymore visible. As expected fully satisfying service: on time, efficient, and accommodating.

Excellent service from start to finish. I was presented with a work contract that covered every detail and reflected their professionalism at work. The work went as was stated in the contract with no problems at all. Attentive to detail and timing. All concerns and notes from my side were taken into account and addressed promptly. Professional and model company for others to follow. Friendly and accomodating and excellent at follow up service. Highly Recomended.

The gentleman that came was on time and very professional. He took a look at my sliding glass door and found out it was just off track so he put it back on track for me. When he looked at my patio doors in my sun room he advised me the walls are very thin and it would not be in my best interest to put a security gate on there since the bolts would be longer than the thickness of the wall. He could have just done the work and charged me but he let me know what was in my best interest, what I should expect and other possible options. I feel this company is very honest and is not just out to make a quick buck. I was very impressed with the help they gave me and even though it might not have been the answer I wanted, it was an honest answer. I would recommend this company to others based on their integrity, ethics and professionalism.

Great! They arrived on time and completed in less than two days. They did a great job cleaning up as well, which is important to us.
