The bid came when Tommy said it would. The prices were very reasonable (we shopped around). The workman arrived as scheduled. They were courteous and the prep work in the house and garage ensured that what wasn't being worked on was protected. Their work was exceptional. Tommy uses high quality Dunn Edwards paint and the painters rolled two coats of paint on and did not use a sprayer. As you know, even taking the best of care, you can not cover some spots as much as you would like because the lighting is poor. While we noticed a very few areas in the entire house that could use more coverage, GTL Construction completed the task without incident. The work in the garage was first rate too. Builders seem to do the bare minimum in the garage. There was no way that I would be happy with a lousy looking garage (maybe it's a guy thing). Tommy's guys applied texture to the walls which looked as good as the interior of the house and applied the two coats of paint. My garage is beautiful. Again, the work completed was exceptional, the price reasonable and the clean-up was first rate.

I would rate their service as a B+. They originally quoted a door "refinish"; however, after the door was removed and a temp door hung, it was determined that the door could not be refinished. The old door was then put back. Originally, they were going to charge for putting the original door back, but after I pointed out that the door should not have been removed without first checking on refinish....they did not charge and were very professional about that. We then had to purchase a new door, and when we did this they were the installers. Excellent job. Maybe a half point off for cleanup, but the quality of the work was excellent. We, the owners, forgot to take the door alarm magnet out of the old door and they found the magnet in the old door and came back out to put it in at no charge. That's a lot of driving around and time, and they did that without charge. I would recommend them to others.

The painter came at 8:15 and started to work, He was finished by 4:30. I was happy with the work.

My experience with GTL Construction was great! I was indecisive on my paint finish but they helped me figure it out. They had estimated my project to take two days but they came early & stayed late to get it all done for me in one day. I really appreciated this. I was amazed at how fast they painted while doing such a good job. The finished project looks great and I'm very happy with it. Alicia in the office was so nice & friendly which is one reason I decided to go with GTL besides it being a good deal compared to other estimates. I would definitely recommend this company for any painting projects.

They were great. Alicia handles scheduling, estimates, and billing. She is very friendly, courteous and professional and responded quickly to our inquiries and concerns. The work was performed on schedule and to our specifications. They did a great job on both the drywall and the painting. The end product looked great--it was like getting a new house!

GTL painted the interior of my house about 1 1/2 years ago. A crack reappeared in the ceiling, and the owner came by the same week I contacted their office to inspect it. He offered to patch at no charge, or do a more permanent fix. I chose the patch job. Thank you for standing behind your work!

Carlos and Sam completed the work over a 2 day period. Both of them were meticulous when working and everything was spotless when they left. They made sure that the mantle was exactly what we wanted and requested our input while the work was being completed. We are very happy with the mantle and will recommend GTL Construction to others.

Tommy was prompt upon responding to my request for a quote. He was pleasant to speak with and while they weren't the cheapest bid we received, their prices were very competitive and they exuded a certain level of trust and confidence the job would be done great. Alicia was very responsive with the quote and contract, as well as pleasant to deal with as we added some additional work as the project progressed. While Tommy didn't perform any of the onsite work, their team of Sam and Julio did a great job. They did expert work, were very respectful of our belongings and finished the project on schedule. The work performed included: Interior painting of walls and ceilings (approx 1,800 sq feet of our house), repair to 6 areas of ceiling due to water damage, refinishing and painting of cabinets in 3 bathrooms.

Called for an estimate in middle of December Tommy came out to get measurements . I was emailed a contract with the bid and a detailed report of what would be done. I asked to delay until after the holidays and to break the project into separate jobs so i could budget it in better. They were very understanding and accomodating. Work done on time and beautifully.

We had a great experience with GTL construction. We hired them after having used another painting company that we were not satisfied with the work. Sam, our painter was punctual, professional, efficient, friendly and did a great clean job. He repaired mistakes from the painters we had originally hired including adding a 2nd coat, touching up uneven lines and mishaps on the crown molding. Once, he finished it looked so much more complete and clean. Correspondence over email with GTL staff was easy and efficient. They are very thorough with a well defined contract with each assignment. No complaints here. We will be using them again.

Overall the job went GREAT!

My whole house got a facelift! I had my old baseboards removed and replaced with 5 1/4 vintage baseboards. I also had windows sills installed (my house did not have any, weird). My home went from a plain track home to GORGEOUS. I was very impressed with the owners, Tommy and Alicia. Alicia was very prompt with scheduling appointments and returning any calls/emais I placed. Tommy came and gave estimates quickly and there was a quick turnaround to getting him to my house to do the work. Him and his employees did EXCEPTIONAL work and I couldn't be more pleased. I will always go to them first and refer every one I know to them.

The job was finished on schedule, within the estimated price and we are very impressed with the quality of the work. The paint job is absolutely perfect. We had a few schedule changes and added some additional work (at additional cost) as the job progressed, but GTL was flexible and worked with us to still get the job done on schedule. If you are looking for an extremely reliable contractor that does high-end work at reasonable prices, you won't be disappointed, In addition, the owners and all of the workers are just really nice people.

The experience was great from beginning to end. I recently bought an old home whose interior hadn't been renovated in decades. Tommy came out for the estimate and was very clear in explaining what they could do and in helping me choose colors and the scope of the work. Parts of the job were more of a restoration than mere painting, and I feel like I got the best work possible. Sam and Julio did the actual work, and they were a pleasure to deal with and the house looks great. They were patient and helpful when I had trouble deciding on colors and textures, and I felt they truly cared about doing the job right. They and Alicia were great to deal with; my expectations were exceeded across the board.

I am a fan of small business owners and companies that do not sub-contract. Tommy and Alicia did not disappoint and took care of every final detail!

I have an 11yr old approximately 1700 square foot 3 BR tract home that had never been painted properly inside. I decided to have the entire interior painted except for one BR. I chose three colors and two finishes. I also decided to have crown molding installed in the LR, DR and master BR. GTL provided what I thought was a very reasonable quote and I decided to have them do the work. They estimated a 1 week schedule. One of the first tasks was to install the crown molding. The master BR has several very tricky convex and concave corners requiring compound miters. Carlos did the work and he is an artist. It appears completely flawless. I was not sure of one color and Carlos painted one wall to let me see how I liked it before he ordered the rest of the paint. The trim was thoroughly sanded before painting. This was one of the flaws in the original paint job. Carlos and Jesus did almost all of the painting and they did a superb job. The job was finished in one week. I have now hung the pictures and put my personal things back in place and I have yet to find anything that needs to be touched up or any paint on any fixtures or furniture. All the lines are clean, straight and precise. Now that I understand how much work this project entailed and see the quality of the painting and crown molding, I feel that I got a real bargain.

GTL was an absolute pleasure to work with. From the get go, my wife and I were impressed with their professionalism, attention to detail, and their responsiveness to our questions and concerns. Their prices are not the lowest but we thought that they were fair (when compared to other estimates that we had received). And when you factor in the quality of their work, I think it was an absolute bargain. We absolutely love the job that they did. The paint looks great. They touched up all the areas that my wife and I had pointed out even though, in hind sight, we were probably being a bit nitpicky. But they stand by the quality of their work, and that's something we really appreciated. The baseboards look great. We're still waiting on the flex crown moulding but the crown moulding that they had put in so far looks great. The house that we recently purchased had pre-existing crown moulding in other areas, and when you compare the quality of that work to what Tommy and Carlos (from GTL) did, you can definitely see the difference (even to my untrained eye). In fact, my wife and I liked GTL's work so much that we had even contemplated asking them to replace our pre-existing Crown moulding. But unfortunately, it didn't fit into our overall budget. Also, they have a really great eye for design, and pointed out some really great trim options to enhance our new home. We really liked their ideas and were so impressed with their work that we actually hired them to come back to install wainscoting and to install a cased opening/trim along three archways. I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone looking to paint their home or to install interior trim pieces (i.e., new baseboards, crown moulding, etc).

I'm a pretty good "handyman" and painted most of my interior myself. The 22 ft walls in the living room and the stairs really intimidated me, so I reached out to GTL Construction to see how much it would cost to have the room painted. They responded same day and Tommy came out the next day to give an estimate. I agreed the price was worth not breaking my neck and we got it scheduled. Of course, I wanted it done ASAP, but the only schedule opening was about a week out. Alicia promised she would reach out if anything opened up sooner and sure enough, she did! They had a last minute opening for the next day, she called and asked if we could do it and we did. Rodrigo and Jose showed up exactly when promised and worked extremely hard throughout the day. They did a phenomenal job and cleaned everything up when they were done. They even asked if I needed help with anything prior to leaving. If I could give a better rating than A, I would. This was one of the best experiences I have had with a contractor. Thanks for being one of the few businesses that still understands that the customer is the reason you are in business. I am so thankful and will definitely reach out if I need anymore work done. My hats off to all of you. Great job!

We got several bids and decided to hire GTL because the prices were comparable and because of the high ratings on Angies List. Tommy evaluated the project and gave us a price quote and an estimate of about 4 - 5 days for completion of the project. We were re-doing the entire house with new tile and wanted to get the painting done as soon as the floor project was completed. GTL was able to fit us in for the week after we anticipated tile to be done. Sam was our primary painter. He was professional, prompt, and worked hard every day. He had a support person with him about half of the time, but he did the majority of the work. We continue, even weeks later, to be impressed with the perfection of his paint job. The lines are perfect, the color is smooth and rich, and all the borders and places where paint meet something else (wood, tile, etc.) are neat and clean. He has clearly been doing this a long time and has perfected his process. In addition, Sam was consultative with us on specific paint finishes to use in particular places (we used an eggshell finish on the fireplace wall since we put candles there and it makes it easier to clean if smoke residue gets on the wall), and he came up with a great idea for painting yellowed canister light shields as opposed to buying new replacements - a process I mostly took care of but it was his idea). Sam also fixed a couple of places that needed some re-texturing and improved the overall appearance of those places. The project ended up taking 8 days to finish (ran into the following week) instead of the 4 - 5 originally estimated due to Sam losing support team members and having to do most of it alone, but he did such a great job and communicated the challenges with us up front so we were still happy to get quality rather than have him rush through the project just to finish on time.

I got four estimates for this paint job, all of which came out pretty close. I chose GTL because of Angie's List reviews which stressed the high quality of GTL's work and their good communication. Very true! The quality of the work is excellent and all the trim looks smooth and shiny and crisp, the two coats of paint on the walls give rich coverage, and the flat ceiling paint has a nice contrast with the shiny crown molding. I especially love the clean white enameled doors (which were previously that awful 1950s fake wood brown). The painters Rodrigo and Julio are so skillful and work well together. Also, they arrived on time every morning and cleaned up every night. I truly appreciated the way they worked around me, so that I could continue to live in the house while the work was being done. It was very considerate. They encouraged a thorough walk-thru at the end and did touch-ups without complaint. I'd also like to add that the Dunn-Edwards paint they used is low "VOC" and has very little odor, dries quickly, and clears out of the house fast.

GTL Construction did an excellent job. They started the project when they said they were going to start; and finished it on the date they told us they would finish. When their workers left each evening, they were careful to leave the area clean and organized. When we contracted with GTL, they told us that the project would take 6 days (Monday through Saturday). When on Thursday it became clear that the project was taking longer to complete than originally anticipated, rather than push back the completion date, GTL placed more workers on the project to ensure that the job was completed by Saturday (as they had agreed to do). That was very much appreciated. I highly recommend this company for any of your painting needs.

Tommy was on the project form the inception and responsible for the design and installation of the wainscoting in the entry and kitchen island. His team performed beyond our expectations and we have recommended him and his team to other families in our neighborhood. Alecia was great in coordinating the scheduling which met our schedule. She kept us informed through out the project. Bottom line, a great company.

Originally I hired a different company to paint my house and they did a horrible job. GTL Construction fixed everything that the previous company did. Very professional job, on time, and very easy to work with.

After reading reviews on Angie's list, we concentrated on the highly-rated companies that would do this small project. We read the positive..and negative reviews for all the vendors. We felt that Alicia's comments, even to the negative reviews ( of which there are only a few) showed she has pride in their work and is concerned when a customer is not fully satisfied. We called three companies for bids. All three seemed like they would do a good job, but we were impressed with the extra degree of professionalism displayed by Tommy when he came out to look at the scope of work. He clearly explained how he would do the job (we wanted everything double-rolled) and how long it would take. The next day, Alicia emailed the estimate over to us.Their bid fell in the middle, but we choose them since we felt the most comfortable that they would do a very good job. Actually we were wrong, they did an EXCELLENT job. Our painter, Sam, showed up on time and went about his work in a totally unobtrusive manner. It was obvious that he had done this many times before. He was very polite and careful . There were no skips and his cut lines were perfect. He finished the job quickly and left the site spotless.There was no evidence that he was even there.....just a beautifully painted room.
