The job bidding process was conducted by Kevin - he was very knowledgeable and patient with us as he identified our needs and the best solutions for our home and high energy bills. He even made a return trip back to our house when I had additional questions and concerns and we ended up renegotiating a new deal as we added more work scope. The work was set to happen within the week and they finished the entire installation within 2 days. The workers were very conscientious of their surrounding's and the fact they were working within peoples homes - Great detail paid to making sure they did not leave a mess or damage any items including paint and carpets. Overall we're very pleased with the new system and have already seen a reduction in our energy consumption. Note: they are more expensive than other systems / companies out there - but I would recommend this company and their products to others. Aaron Barrett

Two techs did very little problem solving, left it to me as the customer to tell them the problems. Spent more time telling me to buy a new toilet than analyzing and providing any suggestions.

The technician was fine...his employers suck

We had used them for installing new HVAC 5 years ago and just wanted maintenance. The tech claimed that we needed new ducting, and called out another guy, supposedly the duct expert, to go through it all and give more detail. They brought down pictures of dirt and supposed damage and said we needed all new ducting and HRV to the tune of 17K. We got a second opinion. The second company does not pay their people on commissions, which we discovered is the key. They brought down video of our attics and said everything was working just fine. We didn't need anything replaced. I was shocked that I'd almost been taken in. We will never use EHA again, and I'm telling everyone I know to avoid them. Make sure your company is not commission-based!

It was okay. They were punctual, they were professional. What I got was worth what I got. The scheduling was easy.

Installer did not keep there word on ever thing the said They installed the system they got insulation in the duct work blew all over the house wife not happy. hard to get them to install the way they told me they where going to the system it self is great its just the way they go about it.

Great! Quick, cheerful, professional installation and has worked perfectly since with no problems.

Basically the whole $49 tune up is just a scam to get them in the door and try and sell you a new unit. They wanted to replace our furnace for about $12,000 which is insane. Just the furnace mind you, that doesn't even include the A/C unit. After they left, we called our regular HVAC guys and they replaced our furnace for about $5,000. So long story short, stay away.

Relatively new unit to be serviced and they wanted to sell $750 in products at extremely inflated prices. This was a "come-on" to look at the unit and sell much more than necessary.

Kevin called around and found a replacement blower in the area that was in stock. The Office called right after our conversation to set up the install appointment. Kevin showed up again a few days later (I couldn't fit the install in any earlier ) Kevin got right to work installing the new blower, he worked for over an hour installing the blower and they system worked like a charm. Kevin as very professional, friendly and explained the whole process start to finish. I would highly recommend this company and Kevin for all your HVAC needs and service... Thanks Kevin for a GREAT experience.

Dishonest. Environmental dispatched Senior Technician Matt Croteau to my residence for a furnace tune-up. (I?ve since learned from another HVAC specialist that ?Senior Technician? means ?Salesman? who looks for ?opportunities??doublespeak for ?try to sell new HVAC equipment to customers.?) Mr. Croteau was courteous and completed the work required. However, he told me he had found a ?highly restricted airflow in return due to undersized return air duct,? and he recommended replacing the return air duct ?immediately? at a cost of $750. Furthermore, he told me if I didn?t replace the return air duct, my furnace would fail in another few years. After Mr. Croteau left, something didn?t sit right with me, so I decided to get a second opinion. I contacted Bucks Heating and Air. Cory Buck arrived on a Thursday afternoon and analyzed the situation. He measured the return air duct and the air flow, and he popped his head into the attic. His conclusion: the air duct is large enough for my furnace unit, and there is adequate airflow. In other words, Environmental was trying to scam me out of several hundred dollars. Cory was very professional and courteous and explained the inner workings of my HVAC system in a way that a layman could understand. And finally, he didn?t charge me a dime. What I?ve learned from this experience is that everyone?s trying to make a buck, and there are many shady actors out there. It?s difficult to wade through the morass of it all and find that company that maintains honesty and integrity. Be careful with Environmental.

The 1st visit the service man recommended replacing some parts that were old. I declined due to cost. The 2nd time the same service man came out and basically said the same thing. I declined due to cost. The 3rd time (just recently) a difference service man came out and said my system is the older kind with the now outlawed a/c freone stuff, and it would need to be drained and replaced. Extremely expensive. I declined. The unit is 10 years old so I will need to replace it in the next year or so. No sense in spending a ton of money to repair or clean it now.

They found a gas leak in one of the outer coils which we had repaired. My husband swore he could smell gas, I kind of ignored him. Not happy I was proven wrong but thrilled the leak was found so we could repair it.

Went through all the steps, checked everything, but turns out I need a whole new unit, cost to fix my old one is high.

The technicion checked my system,diagnosed that I have a leak .I declined further service because the unit is old and needs to be replaced.

They are really good. I have been with them for a couple of years now. They had to change my appointment time twice. They had me scheduled twice and they cancelled because their technician got hanged up at a different place. I had to take time off of work so it was a little bit of a hassle and they came a little later. The price is fine.

My 26-year old A/C iced up and leaked condensation from the attic. Environmental Heating and Air is what you HOPE a professional service provider will be. They met these challenges: 1) Scheduling - they came out the day I called and provided an inspection and bid. The install occurred the day after I accepted their bid. Naturally, this all happened during a triple-digit heat wave and right before I had to be out of town. 2) Professional personnel. This includes Ferida, the office manager who is easy to reach and went above and beyond to help complete necessary paperwork, etc. Matt, tech and sales, who carefully reviewed problems, options, prices, rebates, Costco pricing, and many other details with me. Matt spent a lot of time trouble-shooting and problem solving to avoid replacing more than needed. The old system was complicated because the original contractor had incorporated a number of non-standard components in the system. Matt was straightforward & honest explaining the technical aspects of the work, etc. Kevin and James were the main installers with incredible stamina working in an attic hot enough to toast marshmallows. Lorenzo was the cheerful tech returned after the inspection to put in the finishing touch of coolant. Every person I encountered showed attention to detail, honesty, promptness, patience and professionalism. 3) Prompt return after the inspections. It turned out that additional work was needed on the obsolete dual control system. I don't fault anyone from Environmental H&A for not catching this ahead of the work. The problem became apparent after the new install. The new system worked, but the installers knew immediately it wasn't working as it should. Matt came back the next day and spent a couple of hours to try to make the old electronic system work with the new unit. He was partly successful, but also discovered the need for some additional work. This did cost $600 more. I'm satisfied this was not an "up-sell" to get me to spend more money. HVAC systems can be complicated. These guys like to learn, lucky for future Falcon View neighborhood customers. 3) They made sure the work was properly permitted and walked me through the two-stage inspection process required by law. The inspection required additional adjustments to coolant level and a couple of other minor corrections. The tech came back the same day after the inspection to correct these issues. The company took these corrections seriously. They do an internal review with all installers whenever there is a required return so this won't happen again in the future. While I wasn't thrilled about the need for the company to return, I was impressed with their thorough and prompt response and taking care of the problem at no additional charge. I'm rating B for price. I'm sure this company has a healthy profit margin. I'm pretty sure I could've shopped, etc. and received the same system for less money. There are times, however, when you get what you pay for. I was against a time-crunch and Environmental H & A delivered. Other people in my neighborhood had their units replaced by other companies with less satisfactory results. So, I'm very happy with Environmental Heating and Air; they make the effort to get it right and satisfy their customer.

They are fine. They had first come out to check some stuff, and then they said they didn't find what was wrong, and then after charging me several hundred dollars, they said that they should have picked it up from the previous checks so I had to buy the heater from them because it was cold. They are supposed to come out and check the air conditioning, but I haven't heard from them and it is already July. I have to use them in the future since I had to buy the thing from them. You have to sign a 3 year contract. They could have found the problem when they came out to examine the unit 2 or 3 times before. They came and said I was in danger of fire and would have to replace the unit, so you are under the gun and can't do comparison pricing. I could have gotten a different unit because the unit they sold me was expensive.

The (cheerful) technician arrived about an hour into the 4 hour window I was given. Just after I showed him where my main (outdoor) A.C. unit was he asked for me to turn it on and lower the thermostat by 2 degrees, and get him my Angie's list coupon. Upon my return he told me that my main unit was trying to start but that it wasn't kicking the compressor on. He stated "I think I know why it won't start" and if he could get it to start, hopefully there wasn't something wrong with the compressor motor itself as that would be a major repair and it would be very expensive, and given the age of the unit it might be worth considering getting an entirely new unit instead. I told him I'd go inside to get the coupon let him get to work and if he needed anything I would be just inside the room by a nearby open window and to give me a shout. Approximately 10 minutes later I heard the main unit/compressor come on so I went back out. I was told by the tech that it did come on but that it wasn't producing very much cooling. He had some tools attached and showed me that the coolant that was circulating through the system there was only a 10 degree difference from what was coming in and what was leaving. He told me it was something to do with the bearings in the compressor unit and again mentioned the cost of repair and suggestion of replacing the entire unit. He then said he'd come ring the front door when he was done. Approximately 10 minutes later the bell rang and I went out to wrap things up. He then proceeded to show me on his ipad the part which he replaced to get the unit to start-up and then he showed me an invoice for $448!!! I was shocked, to say the least ! I had the distinct impression that this service was being performed as part of the tune-up. I had IN NO WAY agreed or was told that I would be charged extra. I must admit I do not like face to face confrontation and I went ahead and paid the invoice. After receiving an email copy of the invoice ( I looked it over to see what the details/price breakdowns were exactly and discovered that the $59 Angie's List item was ADDED to the total!!! Upon further review I realized that the "Tune-Up" was never actually performed! Just the replacement of a part I didn't know I would be charged for. I did a little research on the part that was replaced and it can easily be bought for between $20 and $30 retail. I have to say this is exactly why I became an Angie's List member....to avoid experiences/companies exactly like this! I have contacted Angie's List and this review is the first step to hopefully having this situation resolved.
