Clark's Gables Roofing

The Clark's Gables crew came when they said they would. They worked quickly while still doing a thorough job. The job included tearing off the old wood shingle roof, installing underlayment, and then installing the asphalt shingles. The whole job took about one and a half days. They did a decent job of cleaning up afterwards but we did find some nails and wood scraps around the ground but not that much. The new roof looks really great and we are very pleased with it.

They were very good. They were reliable, punctual, and they cleaned after themselves. I would use them again.

,8/6/2012 Overall, it went well. The garage we had thought would be protected with plastic, but wasn't. That was a real mess. They asked to borrow our long water hoses, both in front and backyard. They were pulled up onto the roof to help in the cleanup. The hoses were covered with a black, greasy tar. They were never cleaned up. They also left the yard in a mess. Lots of nails, pieces of roofing material, used pop cans, trash. They were in a hurry to do the job in 3 days and apparently needed to get on to the next job. They really should have stayed an extra few hours and done a decent cleanup job to give customer satisfaction.

Since I am the property owner but live elsewhere I don't have the on the site feedback. However I did not hear of any problems from my tenant. The only problem was that I had requested a minor repair (chimney cap replacement on the house) that they were unable to accomplish. I had this completed by a chimney repair company.

It was overall good. There was a small percentage of the trash detail that was not picked up. I would recommend them.

They did a good job. I would recommend them. The guy that came out was a hard working guy. He was an honest person. I was impressed by him telling me that I just needed the edging material replaced instead of a new roof. It was a different type of material than the roof material itself. He did what he said he would. I was very pleased with their work.

The cleanup left a little to be desired. They failed to clean up the nails, roofing particles and a bundle of shingles. That was my only complaint. The work was great.

They did a fabulous job. They worked quickly. They cleaned up after themselves. Our roof has been perfect. I thought I had a problem and he came running out to look at it with no charge. I didn’t have any problem at all. I have recommended them numerous times.

The crew worked well. They had the old roof and gutters stripped off the first day and started installing the new gutters. The second day after the building inspector arrived to okay the wood sheeting they started alying composit. They were finished by 2:00 that afternoon. They cleaned up everything. Overall it was a great experience.

Clark came out right away and emailed the estimate the same day. I felt it was reasonable. And, after talking to Tina at the office, I hired him. They came out the next day and repaired everything. He also checked a leak I was having in the master bathroom. Got the job done in a day and clean-up was great. Clark went above and beyond my expectations. I would definately hire him again.

They did a great job! They said it would take three days and it took only three days. There were also not any cost overs. They cleaned up after themselves. It was probably the best experience I ever had with a contractor.

Job done on time, quickly, and above my expectations. Price was competitive with other roofers, with the exception of the really expensive place. I felt the company was there to make sure the job was done properly and to my satisfaction. Will use this contractor again.

This work was done at my house in Sacramento, but I currently reside out of the area. So I am basing some answers on my tenant's experience. I did get less expensive bids, but had problems with responsiveness, so chose Clark's. They did fix any problems (an electrical conduit was damaged), and the owner did a post job inspection.

The work turned out great. Their price was within range of every other company’s. They’re wonderful people. We had one problem, but the owner dealt with it right away. I’d recommend this company to others.

The experience was good. They didn’t quite clean up completely, but that was the only negative. They did a good job.

It was a great experience. They cleaned up well after themselves each day until they were done. They never started before the specified time, and they did a very good job. We have no complaints. Even though the work was done a few years ago, the roof still looks great.

. Their professionalism and attention to detail was outstanding! They were very quick and responsive to any questions or requests. I highly recommend Clark and his crew. We were concerned about adequate attic ventilation. Clark installed several dormer vents along with a ridge vent and lined up a contractor who added insulation to our attic. The overall effect substantially reduced our A/C usage already! Before selecting Clark's Gables Roofing, we obtained 3 other estimates. Clark went the extra mile even before we selected him, giving us several referrals, dropping by roof samples and following up with phone calls to answer questions. We were very impressed with his thoroughness. Thanks to Clark and his crew for a well done job.

Clark arrived on time and gave us a knowledgeable assessment of the roof. He provided an estimate within 48 hrs via email. We plan to hire him in the future to perform the repair.

I am so late writing this review after Clark’s Gables replaced our roof, but now that we’ve been through a few rainstorms here in Sacramento, I’m happy to report that our new roof is not leaking. Clark came to our house in July to measure our roof and give us an initial estimate based on the shingle we selected from his samples. Only three hours later we received an email giving us the final estimate which was the same as he quoted earlier. In addition, three days later his office emailed us the address of a house with a roof that matched our selection. After going to view the actual roof, the color did not turn out to be what we envisioned in the sample. The problem was solved by giving him the address of a house with a roof color we did like and he was able to provide us with that ... something we should’ve done in the first place. In early August, only nine days after signing the agreement along with a $250 deposit for the building permit, Clark and his roofers showed up on time and we had our new 40-year roof in only two days. The work included installation of ridge vents, painting the pipes on the roof to match the shingle color, and trimming an inch or two off the wood eave overhangs that were showing some rot on the edges. I feel $8100 after the Angie’s list coupon is a very reasonable price.

It was fine. They did a good job. They were pretty attentive in terms of cleaning up. They weren?t absolutely the best but pretty attentive. The job was done right and the shingles lines up. It didn?t leak. Overall I was happy.

It was great. There were no leaks. They were terrific. They got everything done. They cleaned up after themselves. There were no complications. They had it done in about a day and a half. They came in within our budget. They were on time.

We got several estimates, Clark's was within $50 of the low bid, but he offered a few plusses the others didn't. During the bid process they gave us several houses to look at as reference. I mentioned how hot the attic got in the summer (strong southern exposure) and he offered to add eve and dormer vents. He also added those channels that keep the insulation from blocking the eve vents to our existing eve vents. After awarding the bid I asked for an extra dormer vent plus several eve vents over the garage, he threw them without changing the price. The job was very well done and quick, he would have finished in a day if the inspector had been available. Cleanup was very good, although I wish I had listened to his advice better about preping the garage. You really gotta cover everything. I highly recommend him. I'd use him again but the roof will probably outlast me!
