+ -1 moreThe Movers were outstanding! They were punctual, courteous and willing to assist in every way possible to ensure a successful apartment move for my overwhelmed niece. "Professional and nice guys," according to my brother who was present at the site to provide moral support and assistance for our niece. The Movers made practical suggestions that my brother and niece did to expedite the move. The Movers efficiently placed the larger items(sofa, king bed, television set) where requested. They were respectful, yet conversational. The price was right for the amount of skillful labor required. Our only regret was that we did not budget a larger gratuity for these Movers. Their unexpected exceptional work earned it. We will definitely recommend 916 Movers to others and hire them again when the need arises. Now that we know to expect quality work from this Company, we will be prepared to enlarge our gratuity option.

+ 0 more916Movers crew was great -- timely responses to quote request, prompt arrival on day of move, and very pleasant demeanor. We had a number of heavy items that had to traverse from upper story down 2 flights of stairs, plus a large gun safe -- and all was handled without any fuss or damage. They were professional, good natured and went above and beyond to ensure no walls were hit, no hardwood floor scratched, and no furniture marred. I've had a few moves in my life, some cross country, and for my local move here -- these guys are top notch. Will definitely hire again when the time comes, and recommend them to colleagues. Thanks guys -- appreciate it.

Description of Work: They help me move from one house to another in Rocklin.... All three gentlemen were very polite and worked hard the entire time ..... They were working hard from about 9 o'clock in the morning to almost 9 o'clock at night ..... I appreciate everything they did if it wasn't for them I would never been able to move in a day !!

+ -1 moreThis was my second time using 916 Movers and they were as great as they were the first time. They were punctual and moved fast and safely. They wrapped up important items with wrap (TV, Book shelves, lamps, etc.). It's a way better deal than self-moving when I factor in how much stuff I used to break. The movers were also great at the new place because I was in the middle of having my house painted so they had to move around the painters.
Description of Work: Moved from a 2nd story 2 bedroom apartment to a house a few miles away. Price was for 4 hours and Truck included.

Description of Work: I give them a rating of B | |First, I want to say the positive things I liked about 916Movers: |1. They were punctual |2. They were polite and friendly |3. They were able to move a Sleep Number Bed |4. They were hard workers, non-stop -- trying to stay within the 4 hour range I had paid for. I appreciated their effort, but I had more to move than what we realized, including the piano. So they went approx. 1 hr. and 45 mins. over. They charged me fairly. | |Some people may not be bothered by some of the things I viewed as negative, But ... |1. They did not bring any wardrobe boxes to move my clothing in. Even though they did not ask me over the phone if I would need such boxes, I expected them to provide that service. I did not think to ask until they were in the middle of moving me out. | |2. When placing my kitchen table in the new home, I had to ask them to level the table so it wouldn't wobble. I had to ask a second time. This particular worker acted like he didn't want to do that, but I am an older woman with physical challenges. I would not have been able to do that myself. I felt I should not have had to ask to have the table stabilized. As movers, they should have seen the need, and leveled the table. | |3. I didn't like the way they handled my mattress. Instead of protecting my mattress with some sort of plastic material, they used my mattress pad instead. I have a sleep number bed, and the mattress pad was especially designed to protect that kind of mattress. After the movers left, I noticed that there was some sort of tear within the mattress pad. | |4. When making my bed, I noticed that the mattress cover had not been zipped up correctly. Some of the interior of the mattress was exposed. I had to unzip the entire king-size mattress and re-zip it myself. I wasn't sure if I could do that, but I was successful. | |5. When I spotted a short twig (like from a tree or bush) on one of the seat cushions to my sofa, that made me wonder if it had been dropped on the ground. Now I feel the need to have the entire sofa professionally cleaned. | |6. They did not replace the sheet music stand on the piano. | |7. I noticed that the floor was scratched were they had placed the commode next to the sofa. The scratch wasn't there before the move. | |8. A knob to each of my DVD stands was knocked off. One was knocked completely off ... the other was broken completely in half. Don't know where those pieces are. I haven't finished unpacking, so I don't know if anything else may have been broken. | |9. I have a box of LP's (Long Playing Vinyl Records). I found them at the bottom of a stack of boxes, which reached almost to the ceiling. I haven't had the heart or energy to check and see if any of the records had been cracked or broken. | |I feel bad having to mention these negative points because they worked so hard. But I was asked to give my feedback. |

+ -1 moreThey arrived early and got straight to work. They took very good care of all my furniture and boxes. Disassembling when needed and the wrapping up and padding. All of my stuff ended up in as good condition as before the move. With helping make sure stuff was ready for the move out and then arranging stuff as they brought it in they were able to get everything I wanted moved within 3 hours. I would absolutely use them again.

+ -1 moreCash only at that time, and 4 hours minimum. Guys were very punctual and professional. 2-bed townhouse with mostly boxes but a few awkward pieces upstairs took 3 hours to load. Short hop to new single story house, then I asked them if unloading could be done before minimum. They were very accommodating. Most of it went into garage. Lower rating on quality because the loading was slower than I expected especially compared to a previous move. No damage that I recall. Adequate equipment to do the job and made an effort to protect my belongings.

+ -1 morethe guys were ready for the job earlier than expected, which put us a little behind but that's ok. they were accommodating in our plan to move both a storage unit and the apartment. They worked hard and were conscientious about moving and placing items gently on the floors in the new house. I like that they have a flat rate, no upcharges for blankets or that nonsense that some companies do. I wish they had a bigger truck available, as our stuff completely maxed out the the space available. i would also be willing to pay more for a 3rd guy to help pack things quickly, but i didn't think to ask about that at the time i booked it.

+ -1 more916 Movers were GREAT!!! I cannot express how much I appreciated them. They were very helpful, respectful, and hard working. They handled our items w/ care, were very reasonably priced. In fact, I had gotten a quote from one other local moving company that was going to charge about $500 more. They wrapped items to be protected, didn't complain a bit, and kept right on working for about 6.5 hours. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND them!! They are straight shooters and don't mess around w/ the fluff of sales. I appreciate that! I hope to not move again, but if I do, I wouldn't hesitate to contact them again.

Description of Work: 916 Movers took on a big project when they helped us move out of our 4,000 square foot home. It took them 3 days to load three storage PODS and a moving truck for the stuff we were bringing to our new apartment. It was a big job, as we had TONS of household furniture and patio furniture.
