Avoid this company, they only charge you and don’t finish the job. A class action lawsuit has been filed.

Beware of this company, Clean Slate Pest Control, Joey Conger. This company is illegally operating as a business for Pest and Insulation and ripping off customers. This business was suspended for deceptive and fraudulent practices. Still continue to operate and was Dissolved and suspended in 2019. He has bogus reviews on his site. I can speak personally of his fraudelent practices because he installed a shoddy insulation job at my house, (still in warranty), and when called, he became confrontational and said noone has ever complained of his work. I had another company inspect and they found a whole area that had not be insulated. The disturbing part is that I now don't believe he was qualified to install insulation as he promoted himself. I paid $6500 for an insulation job and my house is colder than it has ever been. I have emailed him, sent a letter via postal service, and now this review. I am now filing a review on yelp and complant with California Board of Contractors. All I can say again is, BUYER BEWARE. Kay W. Coulson 5/30/2023

Ken and William arrived promptly. They were professional, wore protective gear and asked the necessary questions. Within a few minutes the dead animal was removed. Quick! I would highly recommend Clean Slate for anyone!

We are not happy. They won't return my call. We still have a lingering smell and it's been a week. Prior to not returning my calls the service was fantastic.

Initially I went with another company due to cost but that was a big mistake. The other company put a hole in my ceiling due to their inexperience and screwed up the entire job. I fired them after day one and Joey was so professional to come out the next day and scheduled service two days later. First day of bad company was Wednesday July 15th, 2020. Joey came right out on Thursday and scheduled service for July 18th. Joey and his team were great, professional, on time, quick, and the job got done excellent. Would recommend them to anyone.

Bad company. Don't know if they ever exist. Why Angies List allowed them listed? What a waste of time and effort. Go bankrupted guys!

Well its now August and they stopped comming to my house. They're very nice, kind, and polite people but I'm not pleased with the final job. They never came and finished the job.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!! Expect the worst a company has to offer. I had rodent problem, checked Angie's List, and immediately Ricardo from Clean Slate called. We talked, he seemed okay, agreed on price and payment plan (1/2 now and 1/2 after work done and pest were removed) and started repairs and prevention on 3/21/19. ***1ST MISTAKE. I knew something was fishy as soon as the first repairs were done. All of a sudden Ricardo did not recall agreeing to our payment plan of 1/2 now and 1/2 after initial work was completed. Silly me thinking that a guarantee of 1 year should protect me, I agreed to issue a post dated check for the other 1/2 4 weeks from 3/21/19 . ****2ND BIG MISTAKE. Today is 5.23.19. Steven from Clean Slate has come by 3 times (cancelled 4 times), no show'd twice. He would call, make an appointment and then never show up. He would tell me that he is busy and that he could not give me a window when he can show up even if he was scheduled to stop by and check the traps that very day. . (really?) Out of those 3 visits, he has found dead rats. He even asked me to help hold a bag while he threw the dead carcasses the bag. (very unprofessional) Why did I pay you of I have to get my hands dirty, too? I have a busy schedule and I am pretty accommodating but when you make an appointment with a customer, make an attempt to keep it or let the customer know that you can't. Well, the current situation is I still have a rodent problem and still waiting for Steven to call me back to reinspect the property as I still hear rodents running around in the roof. That was 5 weeks ago. This is why this company wants their payment up in full. After they their money, they will forget you and hope that they don't have to fulfill their agreement. I regret going with this company. I believe some if not all the positive reviews on Angie's List are fake, or possibly paid for and I would never, ever refer this company to anyone. I will also to talk to lawyers to perhaps possibly take some legal action. Either way, I am going to let all my friends, social media, and community know about this garbage company and their lousy business practice. PICK ANOTHER COMPANY!!

Great service and we continue to use Clean Slate as we live in a somewhat rural area of Los Angeles.

They did a good job and they caught the rat. I would recommend them.

Very professional! Other companies did a poor job, but Joey was able to clean it up the first time. He runs his business with integrity and believes in repeat customers. Very understanding in accommodating my elderly parents.
