I have a private contract with him. He was referred to me by an appliance store. He is the best. I would recommend him to my whole family and friends. He is very professional, honest and courteous. He goes out of his way. He will come at 9 o'clock at night.

I think the price is competitive. They are not cheap. I have a two story house that has a dual system. Their price is competitive and they have a fair market price. I would of liked to pay less, but there was no way around it. I have been using them for many years. They maintain my heating and cooling system. I keep going back because they are honest and are a small company. The owner is very honest. The quality I like about him is his knowledge and he is competent. He is on top of his trade. He keeps up with trends and new units. He is courteous and punctual. He is very detail oriented when it comes to writing a contract. I've found that a lot of the people I called are so lazy they can't even write a bid. They just pull a number out of their head. He is very professional. It took two days for system to be installed. The clean up after was excellent.

We called about our heater fan that was coming on irregularly, not associated with the thermostat. The young man came, gave his opinion as to what was wrong and said they would have to order a part. There was a charge for the visit but he said he wouldn't charge us until he came back for the part installation. We called them a few days later because we decided we wanted to order a whole house fan as well but got no one on the line, we just left a message on a machine. We have not heard back from them, it has been almost two months and we decided they just didn't consider the job big enough to do. We haven't paid anything so that is good, at least we were not cheated out of money but honesty would have been better since they obviously didn't want to do this small time job..

Courteous and polite, explained what he was doing and why. Explained other irritant aspects of how the AC worked and even cleaned it off before leaving.

The entire crew from Excellence Heating and Air Conditioning is fantastic. I recently bought a house in Novato and needed to have air conditioning installed in addition to some drainage work done under the house. Anthony was super-accommodating in having his guys pull the old ductwork out from under the house as part one of the job, letting the drainage guys do their work for a week in the middle, and then came back for the rest of the installation. And the installation was done with incredible attention to detail – to the point where the coolant runs and electrical work are actually attractive and receive compliments from visitors. Excellence Heating and Air Conditioning earns my strongest recommendation for fair pricing, outstanding work, and great customer service.

The owner of Excellence Heating came to my home to give me the estimate for installing a replacement furnace. He answered all the questions I had at the time concerning single and 2-stage furnaces. He explained how the programmable 2-stage thermostat would control the heat. I researched the different types of furnaces online. All warranties were explained in a manner that made them understandable.I had gotten 5-6 estimates for furnace and installation cost. Excellence was not the least expensive nor was it the most expensive estimate I received. I was assured that if any problems arose regarding the installation or new furnace would be taken care of at no cost to me. The installation took 2 days as unforseen problems arose, however, the job was completed and all material related to the job was cleaned up before the installers left. They wrapped booties around their shoes (during both the estimate and installation) and lay plastic sheeting down in the work area. When they were finished for the day, all work areas were either swept clean (in the garage at the attic opening) or vacuumed. The new programmable thermostat was not set up as the above work was performed in the summer before the furnace was required to work. When I tried to program the thermostat, there was nothing visible in the window. I placed a call to Excellence Heating and it was answered that same day. The owner came to my home to research the problem and discovered that the thermostat was placed too high for my eye level. He came back and moved the thermostat to the appropriate position and I am now able to see what I need to be able to program the thermostat. Overall, I am highly pleased with the work done by this company. The owner and installer were both pleasant young men and answered any further questions I had while they were here. I would (and have) recommend this company for any heating work that needs to be done.
