TERESINA SOAPSTONE

Description of Work: I had been looking at slabs and slabs (and slabs) of granite and quartz for a kitchen remodel I am planning but found nothing that really resonated for me. THEN I saw a sample of soapstone and learned that there was a local company in Roseville that sells it, Teresina Soapstone. From my first call to them and since, they have been the kindest, friendliest people ... I have met and spoken with both Carrie and Ben, and they are both GREAT and so helpful. Carried took me on a tour of their Soapstone yard, showing me the various varieties of soapstone slabs they had, explaining the product, the pros and cons, information about upkeep, etc. She gave me a phenomenal amount of into (but not overwhelmingly so), and patiently answered all the questions I had. Their showroom has many examples of their soapstone on various counter tops as well as examples of their soapstone sinks. She sent me home with samples of a few varieties of their soapstone (along with some mineral oil so I could experiment with how a little bit of mineral oil enhances the look of the soapstone). They have an e-mail notification that they can add you to where they will e-mail you when they get in new slabs. They are flexible in terms of whether you'd want them to be the fabricators and installers or have someone else do it. Carrie has also been available to answer a couple of follow-up questions I've had. Their product is fantastic (does actually feel soft as silky soap) and their personnel make you feel very welcome. I haven't started my kitchen remodel yet, BUT know when I do I'll be using their product for my counter tops and possibly my sink as well. I have read from others who have used them that for any follow-needs or questions, their availability (and friendliness) is still there. I can't wait to have their Soapstone in my house. (I'm already looking around my house to find other places I can use it!!)
