Service Champions is the leading heating and air conditioning contractor in Northern California servicing homeowners in East Bay, South Bay and Sacramento areas. We can make your home more comfortable and improve the quality of air you and your family breathe. We specialize in maintenance, repair and sales of all brands of air conditioners and heaters, and are experts in indoor air quality improvement through filtration, duct replacement, insulation and hospital grade UV lights. All the air conditioners we install have the new environmentally friendly refrigerant that does not damage the ozone. We also are huge proponents of super high efficient equipment, such as 95% efficient furnaces. This equipment saves homeowners a tremendous amount of money on their utility bills.

Description of Work: Bought a Heater/AC tune up -- they were very thorough and explained everything I wanted to know. ACtually spend nearly 3 hrs at my home. Right before he left -- I had told him that I was not getting the heat/AC in the rooms furthest away from the furnace/AC unit -- so he offered to look at my tubing. He found the problem -- they had come apart. I was effectively heating/cooling underneath my house -- and the air was not getting over to the other part of the house. He reattached the tubing -- and problem solved.

Description of Work: Service Champions is a total rip-off. I received their $78 air conditioning tune-up coupon with the guarantee that if my air conditioner broke down this summer I would receive a refund of ""double the $78 tune-up investment"". I had the tune-up performed on May 23rd and paid Service Champions $78. My air conditioner stopped working on June 21st. I called Service Champion and their tech. came out on June 23rd. He found that a contact on the air conditioner had failed. He then charged me a $69 ""diagnostic fee"" on top of the repair charge, giving me some double talk that the fee was justified because something other than what was checked in the tune-up had failed. So instead of receiving a $156 credit on the repair (double the $78 tune-up investment) I was instead charged an additional $69. As noted above, Service Champions is a total rip-off, and a bait and switch operation.
