+ -1 moreTech showed on time, explained what he was going to do, then proceeded to do so. He had a minor problem with a large wasp nest but took care of that. He then adjusted/cleaned the various knobs, etc. When through on the roof (where the AC unit is located), he came into the house, made sure the thermostat was responding properly, made some good suggestions, then finished up and left. He spent about an hour taking care of everything. He was quite professional in dress and demeanor, price was fair, and I was pleased with the whole situation

They are using that as a ploy to get around the Federal Trade Commission's National Do Not Call Registry restrictions. I have told them each time to stop calling me and that I am on the Do Not Call List. I have received over 30 calls from them ............ so far.

+ 0 moreThis provider failed to find the leak after several visits, Service Champions proposed to replace all of the reftrigerant lines excep those in the OUTSIDE COMPRESSOR UNIT! Price quote was thousands dollars. Quote was rejected by owner. Called Mike owner of Day and Night Heating and Air Conditioning Service now known as DUNRITE, HEATING AND AIR inc. Phone 1-408-971-1814. Mike came out 7/2/13, diagnosed the problem as a leak in THE COMPRESSOR UNIT in less than 30 minutes, added refrigerant to keep unit working until parts were received from factory. Unit was still under waranty. Parts arrived 8/7/2013 and promptly installed. Our unit is working like new now.

+ -1 moreThey do good work and they really spend a lot of time with you to find the problems. They do not overcharge and they have good recommendations. The air conditioner capacitor went out because our housekeeper left our house unlocked for a week while we were gone and left the air conditioner open. The cost of the service was actually going to be over $300 but buying the service plan allowed them to lower the cost to what they charge people on the service plan. So far, our air conditioner is working. They will be our heating and air conditioning group of choice in the future.
Description of Work: I used Service Champions Heating & Air Conditioning just a couple of weeks ago for the repair of our air conditioner capacitor. We also purchased an annual service plan from them.

+ -1 moreJust want to give Kyle, our technician kudos for his professionalism and assessment of our system. He let us know what is wrong with our 22 year old system, and also gave us options as to what we should do now to keep our A/C going through the summer. No other work was done as the check up also showed our heater exchange has a pretty big crack in it, so it appears we're going to need to replace our heating and A/C before the cold weather arrives in the fall. I didn't rate the price of the repairs as I don't know how it compares to other companies. We're having one of their reps come out and give us an estimate on a new system but since we're not going to replace the system for 3-4 months, we'll get other estimates as well, and do our best to make sure we're comparing apples to apples in the pricing and the systems being offered. I do though want to acknowledge Kyle for his efforts.

+ -1 moreThey said they'd be there between 3 & 5. Called at 3:30 and were there before 4. Came in to determine why our a/c was only blowing warm air, found the problem was the dual capacitor, checked the record and discovered one had been replaced 2 years ago, so replaced it at no charge--just $19 for the service call. WOW. The heating/A/C units had been installed several years ago by another company and we'd had nothing but trouble--neither had made it through a season without going out and needing repair. We finally called out Service Champions to figure out what was going on. They came out, did an audit, then repaired lots of leaking duct work and doubled the size of our intake. We signed up for their club to get annual tune-ups and have been completely satisfied with their service. Even signed up my mother and had them replace her water heater (another job extremely well done)!

Description of Work: I told them I was sick and exhausted and sick from work the previous day with another service provider. On 4/11/13 I had the insulation and fan installed. Service Champions moved the insulation, so it's not even being used right now. I asked to reschedule so I could get better. They said I could let them in and then go back to sleep. They were beating on my door and wouldn't let me sleep like they promised. They weren't supposed to turn off the water on that day, but they did. I went downstairs and asked them to turn it back on, and they claimed they didn't turn it off. I went back upstairs and the hose was spraying water all over my television and computer. Then they quit. I told them they needed to clean it up the mess because this was my living space. They put me in a hotel, when they were supposed to clean up my home. I cannot be around the harsh chemicals and had to go home because I was getting sick. They refused to do the work while I was home. I have not heard form since.

+ -1 moreI called to have furnace checked and rep found our ducting to be in trouble w/ rusting connections and deteriorating ducts. Our house is 53 years old, and the pictures taken while the rep inspected the ducts showed the need for a change. We then met w/ the ducting rep and he did the inspection again and showed us his pictures, which showed us the same. He recommended that we get new ducting. We decided to go ahead. The work was done in one day, working from early morning to 5 pm that afternoon. The result is that our furnace functions quietly and keeps us warm evenly throughout the house. Also, the air is definitely cleaner. We have an air cleaner in our bedroom which we cleaned the filter on monthly, but filter shows no sign of needing to be cleaned since the new ducting. All service people have been prompt and thoughtful, working diligently to get the job done.

+ 0 moreThe experience was horrific. I wasn't happy at all. I would never use them again. The total fee is 79 dollars for service call and they put less than a half of Freons in the unit. I had already have it pre-cleaned. There was nothing broke and I got a 500-dollar bill. I paid the bill and moved on. I tell all my friends to never use them. If I ever have a furnace or air conditioning problem, I would never ever call them.

Description of Work: I belong to the "service champions club", which has a reasonable monthly fee. This gets me a minor heating/cooling tune-up quarterly, if I want it. Perhaps it gives my call for service priority because when I called about my furnace not working at 8am on a cold Sunday morning, a technician called back by noon and was at my house at 1pm. The technician did what he could, but the computer board was shorted and not functioning correctly. The technician did not have a replacement on the truck and he did not think there was one in stock at the warehouse, so it looked like my family would have make do with an electric space heater for several days. On Monday, the technician made a special trip to another parts house 40 miles away and came back to my house Monday early afternoon to install the new computer board. This fixed the furnace and we now have heat again. I was a little unhappy that Service Champions did not have the replacement part in their stock as the furnace is a popular brand and not obsolete, but they went the extra mile to find the board and drive over to pick it up, so I am very satisfied.
