Everything went very well. The service man seemed to know what he was doing; he explained and showed us everything he was doing; he adjusted the "anticipation" time because we explained to him that when the thermostat was reaching the temperature at which it was set, we would receive cool air from the vents for more than a minute. He explained to us what was the (normal) process that caused that to happen: it had to do with the fact that the anticipation time was set at 2 minutes (he changed it to 1 minute).

Vendor confirmed appointment with me twice and also called to let me know updated time of arrival. The serviceman took my 1950s furnace apart bit by bit and cleaned, oiled and checked every part. He was very good about explaining what he was doing at every step and answered all of my questions thoroughly and in simple enough terms for me to understand. He was very knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. During the tune up a switch was accidentally turned from on to off. I called in with the problem around 5pm and they had the serviceman back at my house to fix it by 6:30 that night. Even with the glitch the whole experience was positive. For me, the glitch actually demonstrated how responsive and responsible they are. I would do business with them again.

Although the installation was brand new and only used for a few days, Ryan found an open duct in the crawl space! This explained why we were smelling fire place fumes as well as we noticed musty draft in one of the kids bedrooms. Ryan fixed this immediately plus unfortunately he found more things wrong with the brand new installation -installed by another company-. I took Ryan his notes and made a punch list for the contractor who installed everything. They were embarrassed and made the repairs. We signed up for a service contract with Service Champions because we trust them, like they're flat rate fee structure and their responsiveness.

I scheduled off work and Service Champions Heating & Air Conditioning did not show up for the appointment. UPDATE Dec. 2014: They did call back later to apologize and offer to make things right. I appreciate this response and have therefore changed the rating up to a C. I may even try them out in the future, as they seemed very earnest about their apology and desire to make things right.

This is a great company. You can see it in the training and the caliber of their employees. They care about how you experience the company and their service, and they care that you are happy. I responded to an Angie's List deal to have Service Champions check and maintain my heating and air conditioning because it was not working well. The company came right away, and as I suspected, told me that the entire duct system in my 1951 ranch house dated from the original construction and should be replaced and that the 18-year-old furnace could be fixed but that they didn't recommend it. Less than 72 hours later, they have removed the old duct system - including working all day in the rain yesterday - and replaced it and my furnace. The environment in my home has been vastly improved, and I have no doubt that my energy bill will me dramatically reduced. They removed all debris, including vacuuming my home. There is no external trace they were here other than my new Nest thermostat. Thank you to Rogelio Delgado, the hardest working man in heating and air conditioning today, and his sidekick Jose, without whom the job wouldn't have gotten done. Thank you to Steve D. for communicating right away that I was working with a company that hires only the most articulate, thoughtful, well-mannered and well-trained service workers, giving me complete confidence in the truthfulness and accuracy of his judgment. Thank you to Phil Dattilo for explaining what we were buying and again conveying complete trustworthiness. I also really liked seeing the picture of his dog and learning how much he loved it.

We have been with them for 3-4 years. They are good! The annual checkup fee is about $150/year. The only problem we've ever had is that they did try to sell us a new unit last time because it's getting old. We felt that they had been trained to do a sales pitch.

These guys are super professional. The arrive on time, there is no pressure to replace anything. We purchased a service plan for $11.95/month so they are able to come out if there's an issue, at no cost for the visit. I highly recommend them. Honest, trustworthy, knowledgeable, helpful--the only ones I will ever use. Our system works beautifully, and they come out for annual check ups to make sure everything is working great.
