Description of Work: They met with us to determine what we wanted in our back and side yards. Then, Cathy developed a detailed plan with planting details for our review via email. We provided feedback, and Cathy produced 2 copies of a large, color plan which she mailed to us. We are doing the actual labor ourselves. Cathy had a crew that could perform the labor, but she did not push them on us, as we went into the project with the clear expectation that we would do the work ourselves.

Description of Work: They came out and did a quick measurement. No conversation about how it would be done. I wanted stamped concrete and was told they could do it but didn't ask anything about color etc. After being here for about 10 minutes I was told I would get a estimate the next week. This was on a Monday. NEVER HEARD ANYTHING MORE FROM THEM!!

Description of Work: I met with the owner for we were planning on redoing our backyard. He had some good ideas and I was excited about the pricing estimates he gave us. In order to have any work done by his company we had to have a design done by their company so we paid them $600 to have it done. The design work went well but we had to ask to have the actual measurements put in the plan. ie; length and width of decking, amount of actual walking space between the deck and the house etc. which was added to the second of the three revised plans (the third and final plans were again missing all the measurements that were on the second set of plans) They suggested and we agreed to have them add all the bells and whistles even if we weren't going to actually have the work done with the intent on starting large and removing things that were not in our budget. When we received the final bid we didn't receive any followup phone calls. I called them after a week because the bid did not include the Angie's list discount so I had them add that to the bid. I received an updated bid that had the words "Angie's List Discount" added but no additional discount. This was on 8/4/15 and today is 9/9/15. Over a month has passed and I have NOT received one follow-up phone call or an email to see where we want to go with the project, how we want to proceed etc. my husband and I decided together that if this company really wanted our business they would have better customer service and would care about where we wanted to go. The final bid was almost $36k and we would have done 3/4 of the work with this company but because of the absolute failure on their part to contact us or to make us feel like they actually want the work we are not choosing them. In addition we had told them that if we were happy with the backyard we would then look to them to do a drought tolerant front yard for us. we would absolutely not recommend Lavish Gardens Landscaping.

Description of Work: Lavish Gardens did a landscape design and subsequent overhaul of both our front and back yards (approx 0.33 acre). They did both soft- and hardscape implementations (all quite large), including flagstone decks, a pathway with staircase and decomposed granite, new bark, etc. Their work was top-notch; our yard looks like the kind you see in Sunset magazine.

Description of Work: Put in a crushed gravel path from front of house to back of house. Several plantings. 3 redwoods, 6 photinia, 6 gardienias, multiple agathapanthas, several chinese fringe. These folks were good to work with, our changes and updates were frequent and complied with readily.

Description of Work: We had both our front and back yards worked on by Lavish Gardens with the major focus on the backyard. In the backyard, an old concrete slab was removed and grading was performed in preparation for the new concrete and drainage system installation. We worked with the landscape designer to create our new backyard design consisting of a free-form stamped concrete patio, sitting walls, a side yard stamped concrete path, over 50 various plants/trees all connected to an efficient drip system, and a lighting system that brings focus to all the right areas at night. The front yard work consisted of grading, removing a big tree stump, installing steps with bricks at the end of each step to highlight the brick on our house, 15 various plants/trees in between the steps and the existing driveway to enhance the appearance of the entire front yard, and a lighting system to highlight the trees and steps towards the house.

Description of Work: Our back yard was over 25 years old. It was very tired and out of date. Mike and his company came in and removed all the cracked and uneven concrete, removed the unsightly fence around the pool and ripped out the sad looking plants. They poured new and modern looking concrete and finished it with a stain to blend the existing patio with the new. They replaced all my old tired plants with vibrant flowers and plants. I can sit out on my patio and enjoy the view. It is now a relaxing, oasis to enjoy in the evening.

Lavish handled everything: Design, Layout, hardscape installation, lawn, trees, shrubs, and flowers. They installed drainage and irrigation to perfection, and then they installed accent lighting.

Description of Work: We had just purchased a new home that had dirt, and more dirt, in the backyard. After several months of continuously living in a dust storm, we contacted Mike Cole to provide us a bid. He had some great ideas, he has a great personality, his price was more than fair and he is genuinely nice person. He had a landscape architect come to the house on two different occasions to help us decide what plants would thrive in locations throughout the yard. The architect was very professional, knowledgable and a pleasure to work with. We met with his project manager on several occasions before the job even began. His crew were great! They were not only professional and hardworking, but they were diligent about cleaning up any mess before they left for the day. The best part was there were no surprises. His cost included the architect, concrete, all materials and labor. With Mike, there were never any questions or doubts. He made sure every one was on the same page before the project even began.

Description of Work: Designed and constructed our entire back yard (originally only dirt) into something we can use. Included custom landscape design, drainage, sprinkler system, outdoor lighting, stamped and colored concrete, lawn, trees, plants and custom seat wall.
