I was happy with the work. Just started working on my yard and I can already tell he knows what he is doing. Easy to talk with too. Respectful. His crew is respectful as well.

The job was to remove a stump by hand in a restricted space. Genaro arrived on time and performed work in a surprisingly short time. Preserved and reinstalled the decomposed granite that surrounded the stump after adding fill dirt to make the area level. Excellent work.

These guys were great! We moved into a house and needed help understanding why our landscaping quickly started dying. Landscaping Bay Area carefully diagnosed and quickly fixed the issues, thoughtfully taught us about our system, and added lines to automate our yard care. Would absolutely recommend and use them again!

He showed up bright and early on the agreed date. The entire day was spent cleaning and hand trimming the front and back yard. I was very pleased with the results. Our yards look beautiful and natural! We agreed to hire him on a regular basis.

There are many landscapers that would be happy to come to your house for a major project. I was in need of a relatively small repair. I requested several quotes and all except one responded that they were not interested for one reason or another except Genaro at Landscaping Bay Area. He showed up on time and was extremely knowledgeable. He repaired my problem and was very courteous. While I had a small problem I can only imagine what he would be capable of accomplishing on a larger scale project. I would highly recommend this man and his company! PS I had no idea how to make these repairs myself. He never asked for any money. I gave him $120. and he said no and then handed me back $20. I wanted it to be as pleasant an experience for him as it was for me so I insisted. (I also didn't want to lose such a valuable resource.)

The owner initially came to my home to assess the work I needed to have done. He is very knowledgeable about landscaping. The time he spent upfront was greatly appreciated as he fully understood to my landscaping needs. He had great ideas on how to replant a tree, recommend how to control grubs and how to properly care for specific plants. Once the project began the owner was no longer involved. In fact, I never saw him again. In addition to his landscaping services I had him give me a bid for painting my new fence and yard fence. The painting itself was very nicely done however, the worker(s) were careless and left several oil based paint spots damaging 15-20 of my brand new pavers. When I addressed this with The Owner he replied via email his worker(s) told him they didn’t do it. I provided pictures of the pavers as proof to substantiate my claim. The Owner had his lead come by our home to fix a sprinkler head that was covered during sod repair and to remove these stains. When I reached out to The Owner again he solely relied upon his lead who promptly told him the oil based paint stains were removed. The stains still remain, I’ve contacted my pavers company who clearly stated “oil based paint cannot be removed!” It became blatantly obvious the owner was siding with employee. In fact, The Owner not once has stepped foot on my property since he took the bid. He never came to oversee the project and all contact with him has been via email or text. Lastly, we were in agreement to plant a new tree. As of this review, I have never heard back and there was never any follow up as to when this would be done. I really had high hopes In the beginning and I am very disappointed in The Owner’s project management. He appears to be knowledgeable but my recommendation is that he needs to manage his team, stay closer to the project and make an attempt to do a final walk through. Lastly his hourly bill rate was inconsistent vs. negotiated. Hourly rate doubled for final day of painting which I regretfully paid.

How can they call themselves Landscaping Bay Area when they don't cross any bridges or handle the South Bay?

Mr. Solario arrived promptly. He immediately understood that the problem could be solved by replacing parts to the controllers to our irrigation system. He knew where to buy them, went and got them immediately and installed them. He has a professional manner. If the irrigation system fails in any way again, he is the first person I'd call.

GenEnt did an excellent job. I sent them an email over the weekend asking if they performed the type of services that I needed. They responded quickly and came out on Monday to give me an estimate. The estimate was very reasonable. They returned on Tuesday to do the work. They ended up taking out an additional bush and doing some yard cleanup for me as well. I would definitely use them again when I need some yard maintenance done.

They showed up on time. They did a nice job of what they did; however, they left a big weeding project in the front yard, and decided to whack bushes in back yard which was not a high priority (only if they had time after front yard was completed). I think, maybe, there was a misunderstanding or miscommunication, because they did a nice job and seemed conscientious.

They showed up on time and were very professional and efficeint. The job was finished in two days, including Easter Sunday. The quality appears to be very good. We recevied two bids and Gen Ent was about 20% lower.

It was fine. We may have asked them to do some extra stuff and they did. The crew was fine. My husband found them. I would say they were fine. Overall, it was an okay experience. They were good. I have no complaints about them.

Genaro is very knowledgeable and professional. He was very responsive, and set an appointment right away. All of the workers worked very hard during the yard cleanup. They came, they conquered, they left, and everything was cleaned-up. We were very pleased with the result.

I called and talked with Genaro - He agreed to stop by my property and provide a quote.. I don't know if he ever turned up but he didn't call me with a quote and he didn't return my phone call when I followed up a few days later.. He may be great at Yard work but he gets an F for customer service.

I got an estimate from Genaro for the sprinkler tuneup. He and his crew were prompt and finished the work on time. He was so good that I hired him as my weekly maintenance gardener. He and his crew continue to do a great job, they come at the same time every week. They make suggestions on extra things that need to be done but are not pushy about it, and also they do little things that I ask them to do as well. Highly recommended vendor.

* Genaro met with me and proposed what to put in and where. He followed up with an estimate. * I wanted to be sure of *where* things were going, since that wasn't in the estimate, and wanted my wife to have a chance to check in. Scheduled a second visit. * He met with us both a second time, and we revised what exactly was going to be done. It was more stuff, so there would be a second estimate. Throughout, Genaro was very easy to work with, amenable to changes but clear about what was easy, what was hard, what would require extra work and why, what type of sprinkler/drip/etc. and why. I hoped to get a drawing out of this meeting, but the time got away from us. * Estimate arrived. It was significantly higher, but reasonable. It still didn't say *where* things were going to go. We had talked about that and agreed on it (I thought), but I still wanted that on paper. * I made a drawing myself and sent a scan of it. Asked for comment. Never got any reply to that. * The usual negotiating for a start date. No problem. * Workmen showed up on time, were respectful of plants, house, etc., and were good about taking a break when I needed to let the dogs out to pee. They never left a gate open, and no dogs escaped. Genaro was there at the start, then left and the workmen did the rest of the work. * Midway through the job I noticed a couple of trenches running completely across the lawn! In our discussions I understood that the lawn sprinklers would be around the lawn. That's where Genaro pointed to when he talked about how many there would be. I thought that's what I put on my drawing, but on reviewing it I guess I was ambiguous. I didn't know how many would go on each edge nor exactly where -- that's what I hoped Genaro would clarify when he replied. * I called, he came out and we talked. Outcome: he's right about where they ought to go, but it's not what he said in either of our previous conversations. * Job finished, cleanup about normal: it looked good from a quick look, but a deeper look found several bits of pipe, wire, etc. Some of the drip line not fully buried, date/time set wrong on the controller, etc. * All that cheerfully fixed in a followup. The crew even cheerfully helped me with an unrelated sprinkler issue, at no charge. * One other oddity: an ambiguity cropped up in the placement of the controller: place it so the connection to 110v is a straight line, or place it so the connection to the sprinklers is a straight line. I assumed they'd let the 110 line be straight (since it has to go inside a pipe) but they aligned the controller with the sprinklers. We were home at the time; I wish they had asked. * It's been so wet since the sprinklers went in that I've hardly used them, but I'm going to guess that the system will provide good and trouble-free coverage of the lawn and plants. * Summary: parts and work above average, communication below average.

I was a bit disappointed because they didn't come at the time they said they were going to, and as a result they didn't do the services that I thought were higher priority.
