Jeff Imwalle Construction

We used Jeff Imwalle Construction to replace two upper decks on our property. Both decks were in dire straits, with one being in an emergency replacement condition. It was a very big job and we had gotten many quotes from various businesses. Although he wasn't the least expensive of all of our quotes, once I saw his work on a friend's deck, I knew it was exactly what I wanted. Jeff personally came out many times to give us a quote and to oversee the job being done by his crew. Being novices he helped guide us in picking out dimensions, materials and colors. He was very patient throughout the process and kept us in the loop at each stage. His crew was equally professional and extra patient with my husband who asked many questions and wanted even more details about the work being done. We appreciated the workable timeline that was set up and that Jeff was able to adhere to it. We were without stairs for a bit, so it was nice to predict the timing so we were prepared. The finished work is beautiful and we are so pleased with how both decks looks. They were both done with very solid construction especially since they are both high up in the air. We have had many friends admire the work as well. I would definitely recommend Jeff and his construction company and am grateful that the work was done in a timely and professional manner.

Had to take Imwalle Construction to court for breach of contract and I won a judgement and to this day Jeff Imwalle has not fulfilled court Notice of Entry.

Jeff had a crew of 3 that did excellent work - highest quality. The people showed up every day on time and worked the full shift. The work was completed ahead oh schedule. This is the best contractor I have ever worked with. Communication with the Jeff and his staff was great - they informed and asked questions to insure the job was done the way we wanted. Highly recommended.

Jeff was very helpful, gave good advice on how the new deck should be designed. The workers were on time, professional, did a very good, quick job, and cleaned up after themselves. I would highly recommend.

Our new Trex deck looks amazing! Jeff and his team worked diligently on the new deck, paying close attention to precise measurements and detail. The new deck reflects the awesome professionalism of all the workers at Jeff Imwalle Construction . I wouldn't hesitate to hire this company again.

We had a little difficulty in connecting schedule-wise because he is very busy, but he was very courteous and considerate in notifying me of conflicts. We walked the location and talked about what we are looking for, and he was very knowledgable and was able to make recommendations on the best way to handle different issues (stair direction/landings/etc).

Jeff's team showed up every day on time and cleaned up every afternoon. Their work is the best I have seen. They are not the cheapest but they very we'll may be the best. Very experienced.

Jeff was great. I called him based on his reviews on Angie's List and he called me back within an hour or two. We set up a time a couple days later and he came to the house. He spent a great deal of time discussing our problem, which was the entire deck needs to be replaced. He brought samples and other information as far as materials we could use. He was confident with what he was saying and very honest with us. Our project was going to be pretty expensive, about the cost of a very nice pool. We didn't have a choice since our deck serves as the entrance to our home. He showed us ways to cut cost, but still be efficient and structurally sound. On the second visit, which was soon after the first, Jeff answered a lot of our questions. We had a lot trying to wrap our head around the project and what it really takes to build this deck. Jeff promptly sent of a thorough bid for the job. We then tried to figure out how to gather the funds. We have some equity in our home, but realized that we would need an appraisal to refinance. We are currently renovating the inside of our home and have a baby due in January. So we realized that we had to finish the inside work first, have the baby, and then we could have someone come out to do an appraisal. We plan to go through with our deck next year once we finish these two large list items and when we do, Jeff will be our first call. We highly recommend him based on our experience.

I can not say enough about Jeff and his crew. I'm not the easiest person to work for because I demand protection and expect all the detail work to be flawless. I have to say to my surprise I found nothing but perfect workmanship on every aspect of this job. Believe me I was on the job everyday inspecting the workmanship of this crew, and found nothing but great work. Also the crew was very polite, respectful, and they also never left the job without cleaning up. If you need a builder and want a quality job that you can brag to your neighbors about then Jeff at Imwalle Construction is your guy. Don't gamble with any other builder!

We choose a different project direction. We would , however, strongly recommend Jeff for any deck projects based on our personal observations of his finished decks and discussions with their owners!!

Jeff did an outstanding job. When I initially called him and came out promptly and gave me an estimate. His estimate was several thousand dollars less than the 2nd bid I got from another deck contractor. He started the demolition and replacement work promptly. This was a very large job so it did take over 2 weeks to complete, but his guys were on the job every day from 7 am- 3 pm. Jeff came up with great design ideas for us and was very accommodating when I asked for a couple of small changes. The decks look absolutely beautiful and we couldn't be more pleased.

I had Jeff give me a bid on a relatively large project - replacing three deteriorating decks, one of which was about 650 sf and about 10' off the ground. He came out promptly and got a bid to me within a day or two. I got a second bid from another Trex certified installer and Jeff's was a couple thousand dollars less. Jeff is really easy to work with. He came up with design/color ideas for new Trex decks and the difficult process of deciding what to do with the railings on the largest deck. He got us samples of the various Trex products (and competitors) as well as samples of the metal railing system we decided would look best. He was always happy to give suggestions and even during the building stage was happy to make adjustments as I saw little quirks, without complaints or extra cost. He has two very experienced Trex installers who have worked for him for many years and they are no-nonsense workers- no sloughing off or constant chit chat. They got the job done and they were both extremely skilled and precise. Jeff was very hands-on making sure the work was done to perfection -and more importantly- to our satisfaction. We've had the decks for a couple of weeks now and can't find a flaw in workmanship. We can't recommend Jeff highly enough. We have told him that he is welcome to bring prospective clients out to our house to see the job he and his guys did.

He is a great human being, whose work appears to be outstanding (from jobs he has done that we have seen). He was recommended to us by a "worker" at a lumber company - -who picked Jeff's card out from all the rest. He is a very solid choice. |
