After meeting with several companies we decided to go with Brothers because they offered exterior color coating on their windows. We checked out Angies list and found only one poor review (at the time). Now I'm adding another. The sales person said that our type of installation was routine for them and measured our 10 windows for an estimate. The cost was higher than our no. 2 choice of installers but with the exterior color coating we were willing to spend more. The salesman told us that the color coating comes with a 10 year warranty against peeling, cracking etc. After he left we read the warranty and found no such wording, in fact it specifically states it "is not liable for natural weathering of exterior finishes"! We called and he said that he would have the owner write a separate warranty covering the promised 10 year warranty on the exterior color coating. We agreed to the sale. The measurement team came out and also told us "no problem installing at our house" . They wanted our deposit and produced a hand written "color coat warranty". We noted that it wasn't signed by anyone and they didn't want to sign it so we held off on placing the order until the warranty issue was resolved. A call to the owner was not returned. I finally received a call from the salesman initially complementing us on our astute observation that the warranty specifically did not include a 10 year coverage of the exterior color coat.. He then said that it was an over-site by the company and it is "our bad". I thought that he was then going to tell me that a new warranty was being written because of this discovery ( we were still looking forward to a Brothers installation). Instead I was shocked when he then said that his company couldn't install windows to our satisfaction and refused to do the job. It appears to us that the warranty information was misrepresented to us on multiple occasions Bottom line, no mater how personable or knowledgeable the salesman is, always read the warranty!

It was highly satisfactory. I hired them a second time to do work on my rental property after they did work on my home. They finished everything in about two days and I was very pleased with the work.

They showed up timely for my estimate. Very knowlegable and advised of total process of window replacement. Gave me a good idea of timeline for window installation. Was advised when I told them that I was comparing prices that they are willing to price match any other offer. Received a follow up call about a week after the initial visit to check on my research and thanked me for my consideration for asking for their business. I received several quotes from several companies and Brothers was comparable to the others. What made me decide to choose Brothers was their A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and on Angie's List. Another company wouldn't even screw the siding of the windows in the stucco of my home due to possible lead paint - would cost too much. Brothers not only screwed in the windows, and did an excellent job in caulking the windows for esthetic purposes. Very friendly, punctual, neat and excellent job knowledge. I had no clean up after they left. I would absolutely use them again when its time to replace the rest of my windows.

The estimate was for $10000. They sucked. It was one of the most bizarre and negative experiences that I have had with a contractor. The initial visit was good. I had a good rapport with the guy, who came out for the estimate. He didn?t get back to me. When he finally did, he offered a bunch of excuses for not giving a proper bid. When I insisted that he give me a bid, it took several days to give the same. I think he didn?t want the job. I didn?t use him. I will not use this company again in the future.

When they did the presentation the salesman was so good I thought they would be the most expensive of the four companies we contacted. I had all four companies bid on the same things (I did not include the casings or the door replacements). Brothers was the least expensive. They brought in a guy to do the measurements and called me six weeks later to schedule the installation. The installation took almost two full days. The group that came out was on task and never stopped working. They ate lunch while on the move. They were talkative with us and each other. The banter was funny and light hearted. You could tell they liked what they were doing. They never cursed and I never saw anyone smoking. They removed all of our windows within three hours and had the four upstairs windows completely finished (including casings) by noon. The crew was very courteous and made sure that they cleaned up any mess. When it was determined that one of the kitchen windows did not fit (miss measured), they moved another window with the correct dimensions that was to go somewhere else in it's place (saved us from removing stuff for the install later). We were quite pleased with our experience. The first night, what I noticed right away was, I could not hear the air conditioner any longer. That was big. To actually not hear the AC after 14 years of annoyance made me smile.

They were very friendly and helpful, but ultimately I went with another vendor. The quote was high. Initially they were insistent that I be present for the estimate but the work was for a rental property and I had to kind of insist that they come out without me and then explain it to me over the phone because I wasn't able to be there. It is a family business and I did appreciate that one of their owners called me and we talked at great length about what my options were. They were very helpful when I called but I had to call them; they were not proactive at calling me.

I asked 3 high-rated contractors for bids on replacing my windows and door with Energy Star-rated dual panes. All 3 bids were within $100 or so of each other. The salesman Jim from Brothers gave the most thorough presentation of the three, including bringing samples of their windows and doors, which they manufacture. I chose Brothers mainly for the apparent quality of their product, and their warranty. I was given an estimate of 4-8 weeks for the windows to be ready for installation, but it actually took 10 weeks, due to what they said were some glitches at the factory. A minor annoyance, as they did get them installed before the hot weather hit, which was my goal. The installers arrived promptly at 8:00 am as scheduled and were finished by noon. The 2 guys worked like a well-oiled machine and clearly were experienced installers. 2 of the large windows flank the slider. The salesman had told me that code requires that the window adjacent to the side of the slider that opens be tempered glass. After they had partially installed the first window I reminded them of this and asked if they were putting the tempered window in the proper location, and they realized they had put the tempered one in the wrong opening, but told me they would send someone else out to swap out the dual pane modules. When they were finished they cleaned up what little mess they had made, and took the old windows and door with them when they left. About a week later I got a call from Brothers to schedule the dual pane module swap. Once again the installer arrived on time and quickly swapped out the glass modules. Despite this installation mistake, which was promptly rectified, I'm very satisfied overall with Brothers and my new windows and door, and would recommend them.

The process went very smoothly from getting the estimate to having the installation done. Everything was done as promised for a good price. We got three different estmates and Brothers was the lowest. The installation was done quickly and professionally. The whole process only took a day and they were good about cleaning up. We've had no problems with the windows. They look great and operate as advertised. I have nothing but good things to say about Brothers and would use them again.

They did a really good job. I think they only took a day to do the whole house which was good. Everything looked really neat and they installed all of the windows really well. It turned out great.

Called for a quote and made appointment for the following week. Jim Molson arrived right on time. He was friendly, professional, confident, and brought along ample documentation to show me, such as photos of previous jobs, business license, insurance certificate, etc. He provided very thorough explanations of the product and the installation process. After he measured, he showed me samples of their windows, which they manufacture under the Brothers name. He demonstrated small, fully functional samples of the windows. He explained the federal tax refund that is currently applicable. Before issuing his quote, he applied several discounts to bring their price in line with other quotes I had received. I like to be able to sleep with the windows open in Summer, so he included safety hardware (PVC pipe cut to size + installation of screws in upper track to prevent removal of window on that side) at no extra cost. He left me with the estimate that day. I got busy, but Jim followed up with me about 10 days later. He answered some additional questions I'd thought of, and was not at all put out when I said I would need a few more days to make my final decision. Of all the companies I interviewed for this job, Brothers had, by far, the superior product. Between that and the reviews they'd received on Angie's List, I hired them the following week. They said they would order the windows immediately and call within 2-3 weeks to schedule installation. Installation was delayed by me because of rain. Although they said they could install in rain, I have a particularly muddy back yard and preferred to wait until the weather cleared. When installation did occur, they were punctual, friendly, cheerful, and worked around my particular situation (working from home). After installation, I notices scratches on a couple of the windows, and one of them looked like the interior coating may have been compromised during manufacturing. That particular flaw was only visible from outside, and only when the light hit it a certain way, so I'm not surprised they didn't catch it. I called and repair/replacement was handled promptly and without any sweat on my part. Overall, I have nothing but praise for this company. In fact, my neighbors came over to admire the work. One, a construction guy, said it was better than the job that had been done at his house. Another has subsequently hired Brothers to do their windows. So a high-five and a big thumbs up for Brothers!

They did a really great job. Everything was done on time and it was exactly what we were expecting. I would absolutely use them again.

They were prompt, very professional, and very competent. They did an excellent job of clean-up afterwards, too. Before they left, they gave instructions on proper use of the windows and doors. The windows look great, as do the sliding doors, and we will really enjoy them! Thanks so much.

They were awesome. They came on time and did an excellent job. My condo is strange in that a queen size box spring can not fit through the stairwell. Brothers home improvement pulled the queen box spring up through the 2nd floor window after removing the master bedroom window; they did this as a courtesy - i.e. no charge. After installing the windows they came back after the alarm was reinstalled to do touch up work to hide the alarm wires. The windows are custom made in their factory. They are very high quality. I have to say my vinyl windows look better than any of my neighbors. I am a very picky person and Brothers not only lived up to my expectations they went above and beyond them. Everyone that I interacted with from Brothers was polite and professional. Their product is exemplary and their workmanship beyond words.

I actually measured all of the windows and asked around for a few bids. Brothers ended up getting the job. They were a little more than some of the others but I liked the sales guy. Frank Gonzalez was his name. Something was wrong with one of the windows but you could not even notice it until you really looked. I mentioned it to Frank and he told me that he stands behind his work. He came out and fixed it for nothing. I was very impressed. The guys who did the installation and measurements were even very personable. I asked them how they liked working at Brothers and they sang their praise about the company. It was a job well done.

I have been very pleased with this company. They did everything they said they would do in a timely fashion. The door is well made. It is very sturdy and looks wonderful.

The company's representative(s) were on time for all appointments, from issuing an estimate through installation day. The installer was efficient and cleaned the area throughout the process. He did an excellent job of finishing and final quality control checks prior to completing the job. I would not hesitate to recommend them or use them in the future.

THEY DID A VERY GOOD JOB. THE HARDEST WAS PUTTING SCREENS IN OUR FRONT ROOM BAY WINDOWS, AND THEY DID A GREAT JOB. THEY WERE ON TIME AND WERE VERY POLITE.

THEY HAVE AN EXTREMELY IMPRESSIVE ESTABLISHMENT. THEY MANUFACTURED THE DOOR AND THE WINDOWS AND DID THE INSTALLATION AS WELL. THEY ARE A VERY NOTEWORTHY COMPANY. WE WERE COMPLETELY SATISFIED WITH THEIR SERVICES.
