Description of Work: The appliance was a Samsung clothes dryer that was only 1.5 years "new" but out of factory warranty. Ben is the technician that came for the service. I had already pulled the dryer back from the wall and had the appropriate panels removed for inspection to speed things up because I was under time constraints. Ben performed some tests to evaluate the unit then discovered the problem (a heat sensor) He was able to repair, reset, or replace the part at minimal cost and within about an hour the unit was back working and he was on his way. Ben is professional, knowledgeable and charged a fair price for his service. I believe that is what we all look for in a service professional. I was very pleased with the service and would use them again in the future.

Description of Work: A small leak from my clothes washer became apparent recently and on the Angie's List recommendation, I contacted the A-1 Appliance firm to see if it could be repaired. Unfortunately, the area where the washer was leaking from was ascertained as costing about as much to repair as it would cost to buy a new washer. Naturally, I opted to buy a new washer.

+ -1 moreVery impressed with the thoroughness and logic used to diagnose the problem. Symptoms were sporadic working of the in-door water dispenser. Originally thought the water tank had frozen up. Unfortunately we thawed the refrigerator and it didn't work. Called back and the serviceman came out and diagnosed the problem was a combination of an intermittent switch and a bad solenoid. Very thorough and professional analysis, he advised us of the availability and cost of the repair. Came out a week later (parts not available locally) to install. Worked like a champ.
Description of Work: Office is located in Rocklin, Ca but they have a local representative in Reno. Troubleshot problems with our refrigerator water in door. Came out twice on the initial service, and a third time to install the required parts. Replaced 2 switches and a solenoid valve.

+ -1 moreI HAVE A CONTRACT WITH THIS COMPANY FOR THE CONVINCE OF IT. THE PROCESS TOOK MUCH LONGER THAN I ANTICIPATED, BECAUSE THEY HAD TO ORDER IN PARTS. HOWEVER, THEY WERE ON TIME WHEN THEY MADE THEIR SERVICE CALL. THE WORK THEY DID WAS GREAT.
