VGI GRAPHICS

VGI Graphics was contracted in December of 2012 to wrap the interior walls of a Trailer with 3M IJ180CV as per quote #3496. We paid a deposit of $2,450 on December 6, 2012 for the materials to be used. The balance of the materials was paid on June 17, 2013 in the amount of $2,248. The Trailer was completed on June 26, 2013 and a check was issued for the installation in the amount of $1,231.20 on June 27, 2013. The film that was installed started to bubble on August 2, 2013. We contacted VGI Graphics to inform them that the film was failing. They did not offer any restitution for this. When the film fell off the walls completely by April 2014, VGI refused to warranty the product. There were many emails and phone calls between ourselves and VGI graphics with no offer to fix the problem, only excuses. We had the film analyzed by a 3M Representative and was found to be the incorrect type of product for this particular job and was not the 3M IJ180C that was clearly stated on the quote. The damage was too extensive for repairs and new film was needed. We asked to have the film replaced or refund our money so we can have the film installed by a different company. A certified letter was mailed on May 8, 2014 and signed for by the owner on May 12, 2014 at 1:08 pm. We have gotten no response to this letter. Our client the Southern California Mountains Foundation and the trailer is used as their OHV (Off Highway Vehicles) education trailer. We had to honor the warranty and pay out of pocket to another company $3,234.84 to remake and reinstall the film. We asked for $3,150.50 be refunded for the interior materials and installation only as there is not damage to the exterior of the Trailer.
