The price is a fair and reasonable price. But the process from initial purchase to services being rendered is too long. I'm on vacation for 1 1/2 weeks and it is taking all that time just to communicate what services I require. The amount of work is small and doesn't require that much time to initiate and complete

The overall experience was extremely positive.

I contacted Ted to get estimates to paint the exterior and interior of my home. He was very prompt in returning my call and we set up a time for him to come out. He was very knowledgable when he came to do his estimate. My husband and I were on the fence about moving forward with the painting, even after meeting with several painters and getting estimates. Ted emailed me about a week later and told me that they had a sudden opening in the schedule and would be able to offer me a ten percent discount if they could start the job the following week. We decided to go forward with the exterior painting job. The crew did a wonderful job. I haven't found anything that I would want done differently. They did everything as described in the contract and left the job site neat when they left for the day. The entire project was completed in 3 days.

I called and spoke with Ted Huber, the President of Sundance, and made an appointment for him to come out on June 27 for an estimate. I immediately got a good vibe from him. We had decorative shutters that needed to be replaced. He did not provide a written estimate before he left, but took my e-mail address to e-mail it to me. The estimate arrived later that evening. In late August we were finally ready to do the job. I noticed that his written estimate had expired on July 28. I contacted Ted and he said he would still honor the price as proposed. We set the start date for September 4 at 7 am. I received a call from Ted informing me that he needed to push our start date to September 10 at 7 am. Being that I was not in a hurry, that was fine. The start date got pushed one more time to September 11 after 10 am. The foreman and one employee arrived at 11:30 am and got started. The two of them worked for 4 1/2 days washing, scraping, caulking, sanding and painting our house. They did an excellent job. They are talented painters who left no mess behind throughout the entire job. The foreman and employee were always professional and courteous and did their best to work as quietly as possible. The only time they were noisy was when the power washer was running. Ted checked in many times throughout the process to make sure we were happy as the job progressed. At the end the foreman asked us to do a walk through to make sure we were satisfied, which we were. Ted asked for no money up front, but took a check at the end, once he knew we were satisfied. I highly recommend using this painter.

Overall: went VERY well.Always on time. Daily clean up was consistant and thorough. Friendly, professional and quiet work. Absolutely no lagging. Ted Huber made regular visits to review progress , check the work and touch base with me. They were a crew of three painters: Rene (supervisor) was detailed and checked work throughout the day. Any fix-ups were done immediately. Sergio and Jose did excellent jobs. They started when they said they would and finished on schedule. Final walk through made improvements to a stuck window. Outstanding experience. I'd use them again in a heartbeat.

They were fantastic. Even though we added a few things the estimate was really a good price. They did a beautiful job. They were professional. They showed up on time everyday and they cleaned up after themselves. They matched the colors perfectly to the colors that we picked out. There was no problems, no hassles. I have recommended them to 2 other friends that wanted their house to be painted.

Ted lied a couple of weeks after his no show and claimed that he lost the address. This is a common lie among contractors when they fail to show up.

Ted's crew was always on time and proffesional, a joy to work with, would definitely use them again in the future.

As the date got very near we were told the start of the two-day job would need to be postponed one day, and then two. We'd already moved our own schedule around to accommodate the original schedule, so this was inconvenient, but we worked around it. The painters, Frank and son Jason, arrived right on time on January 5, 2012, reviewed the scope of the work with me, and got right into action. We'd cleared away all the small stuff because Sundance moves your furniture prior to work, which was great. After clearing their work area, the crew covered the floor and made other preparations. Once things were underway on day 1, I left for my job, while my 20-yr old son stayed in the home with the crew. Our color for the entire job was a light gray, going over white in most rooms, but in the family room we needed to cover a deep olive color. After a couple coats, I thought the color looked darker than other walls, as if the deep original color was showing through. Frank's team put very willingly put four coats of paint on those walls, and we're satisfied with how it looks. Completing the job needed a third day, which meant enduring a home in disarray over the entire weekend, but the crew came back on Monday with a third painter and got things wrapped up toward the middle of the day. They then spent a lot of time putting things back in place: blinds, furniture, etc. They even helped me hook my big screen TV back up. My wife had pointed out a few areas where paint had wound up on trim, or dripped on the floor, and Frank's crew was pretty diligent about going back to find those spots and clean them up. As happens, now that a couple weeks have passed since the work was done, we've noticed more such drips. They are nothing terrible-- this is the only reason I didn't give an A grade ("Excellent") overall. "Excellent" should be reserved for...excellence. Excellence is rare in any area of life, so reader, understand that my rating is very very good... close to excellent but just not quite there. The crew put our blinds back up backwards, but they're painters, not blinds installers, so I do not fault them too much for that. However, I would recommend to the person hiring this company to be on site when they put your blinds back up so you can supervise them a little and help them get it right. I was at my job and was not able to do that. Ted's estimate for the amount of paint needed for the job was double what was actually used. A little tighter estimate there would have saved us over $100.00 in paint expense, plus a trip to a waste disposal site to dispose of the excess. I know you need to have extra paint to cover contingencies...but twice as much? Is that normal? Ted called me periodically on my cell phone during the project to ask how I felt things were going. He came to inspect the job himself early on the last day. He and his crew were really punctual (once things got started) and courteous and friendly. I'm pretty sure Frank's two young painters are both his sons, and they had great attitudes and manners. I thought they were fine young men. I would hire them again, but know I will get better results if I can be there to supervise more. These guys are really good, and I think capable of overall excellence.

Overall, jobs were performed satisfactorily, although I would have liked a little more attention to wall prep before painting. Previous house owners had left some rough wall patching spots on several walls, which were simply painted over at first. However, they readily smoothed out some of the rough spots I found, when I requested. Also, would have preferred they spend a little more time putting things back properly after painting. One heavy old bookcase sustained some minor damage, but I now realize I should have disassembled & reassembled this myself. The first job was a good deal at $500, but the second at $750 was excessive in my opinion (particularly since the owner originally asked for 895). Made me feel like a bait and switch at first, however the painters volunteered to add the ceilings in the bath & laundry area (but not kitchen), so on balance, price was satisfactory. The painters themselves were very friendly, helpful and responsive to all requests.

The onsite crew provided high quality service. I am very pleased with quality of the job. The front end scheduling required too many calls, you have to be patient. Again, the quality of the onsite work of Miguel and Ogden was great. I will not purchase another Angie's List special. Their is not enough transparency on what is covered. This was not a Sundance issue, rather an Angie's list issue.

We first had an appointment scheduled before the Holidays, but he didn’t show. We tried for another appointment in January, but he kept moving it around and never showed for the final appointment. We no longer want to use this big deal and have since cancelled it.

They did a great job. They were here on time, did the job efficiently and carefully, and they even straightened out the edges where I attempted to paint before I hired them.

All in all it was a wonderful experience.

they were on time, and did the work well. we did say it was ok to mess up the carpet, so not sure how they are regarding folks who need their houses kept clean during painting.

Called and made an appointment for an estimate. The company did not show up nor did they call. Very unprofessional. Even if they do good jobs painting, I would not recommend a company that is not courteous to its potential customers.

I spent $5000 on that service. I decided to use them because they were the only company I could find that had an A better business bureau and the only one that had a previous rating and was on the list. The owner was very friendly and willing to work with me. I got no bad spots. Their pricing was not too expensive, but I got what I paid for.

I was having lots of work done on my father's house prior to putting it on the market so I had plumbers, flooring people and an electrician in addition to the painters. The painters were very adaptable to working with the other trades people and to working around my siblings and me as we finished cleaning out some of the rooms. When I changed the scope of the project in the middle, Ted (the owner) readily put another worker on the job so it could still be finished before the carpet arrived. All the workers (there were four) were friendly, on time each morning, very careful with furniture, etc and cleaned up really well at the end of each day. I would definitely recommend them!

They are probably the best contractor I have used ever. They came in and gave me a very reasonable estimate for a fair amount of work. The workers were great and they finished it up in a week.
