very unprofessional, don't who wears the pants in this business, very unreliable, the wife is a real nut job. they accused me of ripping them off...you need to remove these people from Angie's List...they should be put out of business.... they effed up some areas on the house...refused to fix them..

First of all I want to leave this honest review solely on my personal experience with this business. In hopes that no one has to go through the same long nightmare and stressful situation we did for the last 3 months. I hired Steve and his crew to do a smooth finish stucco and paint on my entire house. I looked into many contractors out there, but Steve and his wife came to my house and were very nice people who made me feel like they were the right fit for the job. Right away I told my husband I wanted to hire them, when I accepted their bid their was many promises made, which honestly got me all excited! They promised me basically the world, and kept on telling me how much experienced they had in the stucco & painting business. I signed a $23K contract with them, which was the most money I had ever spent for a home remodel. But I was sure at the time it was all gonna be worth it! Boy was I wrong!! The first day of start day they never showed up(which should of been a red flag to me right away!) They never bother to call me and give me a notice that they would not be coming till the following day, I had to be the one to call them that same day. (Again very unprofessional) and then he got the nerve to get upset at me for letting him know that it was unprofessional. He told me he was still getting supplies and he didn't have to check in with me. I have all my text & phone convos to prove all this btw. Their was many times were his crew would come only one day a week, and sometimes none at all. The job took exactly 3 months, when he said it would be a lot less. But honestly, I would of rather taken 4 months as long as the job was done right. But instead he was rushing to finish on the very last day of the contract date. My husband and I had to point out everything that was done wrong for it just to be corrected. But the smooth stucco looked so bad and very unprofessionally done, he said their was nothing else he could do. He never could meet with the both of us, always cancel at the last minute and left us hanging, after he knew twice my husband requested time off from work just to meet with him. He had no consideration at all. He had to remind me that he did offer to install our entry doors at no charge, which I appreciated at the time. During the process of the door install he broke our marble floors and wangscott we had just install a couple months ago. He never apologize or said he would fix it for us, even if he charged me for the labor I would of been fine paying him. He literally installed the door and just left all the surroundings broken. I was left with a door with broken drywall, marble floors, and wangscott, and no doorknob, because he said he had to leave that day. Which honestly I blame myself for being to nice and not speaking up. I didn't want to bother him and have to argue with him, he was always so defensive. I just wish he would of offered to fully fix everything even if I had to pay him extra. Hes communication was very lacking. At the end of the project Steve knew that my husband and I were not happy with the final outcome. So he tried to make it up to us by offering to put stone on our bbq area for $300, he made many promises and said it would have to be done after the Holidays though. We of course being the nice ppl that we are believed that he was actually trying to make things right for us. Steve never called us back after the Holidays. We tried contacting him numerous times, he never returned our calls. I don't understand in a couple occasions I paid Steve ahead of time before some of the projects were completed. I have all my documentation to prove this, all I wanted was for him to make a little effort on his part and take some responsibility, but he never did. He made everything all about money. I just don't understand how people can be so inconsiderate of ppl who are honest and hard working. Now we're just 30K down the drain with an unhappy finish to our house. I really wish that we would of just left it the way it was. That could of been my kids college fund instead. Don't understand how people can sleep at night without a guilty conscious, and not take pride in their work. Not even a simple phone call to make things right. Definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND!
