+ -1 moreOur front yard was pooling water due to a main line break. Called a number of people but no one had a plumber that they could whole-heartedly recommend. Decided to check Angie's List and saw Ike's ratings and comments. He came promptly to provide an estimate, and the following day, his crew did the work quickly and well. The men were polite and careful to clean up after they were done.
Description of Work: Replaced main water line from house to street; required digging under retaining wall and sidewalk.

+ 0 moreThe plumber who helped us was easy to talk to, gave good advise, and really took the time to understand what the problem was. The work done was excellent.
Description of Work: We contacted Ike's to replace our water heater, after having a bad experience with a major store who had promised to replace and install the water heater. Ike's plumber came out and explained that the entire water heater did not need to be replaced, just the connections/tubing on the top of it. After thinking about Ike's recommendations, we scheduled a second appointment to have the work done. Besides replacing the connections on the top of the unit, the plumber also looked at a water flow/connection problem we had been having with the hot water to the dishwasher and the one of our bathroom showers.

Description of Work: I called and spoke with Ike who was very professional and gave me an estimate over the phone. However, when he learned that I am in Orange County, he said it doesn't really pay for him to come this far. (He is in Riverside). His listing ought to reflect that.

Description of Work: Ike replaced my recirculation pump and two wide spread faucets. He also adjusted my shower control to allow hotter water and inspected other plumbing connections.

+ -1 moreMy experience has been very good. He is always here within ten minutes of the agreed on time. He comes in, gets the job done and gets out. There isn't much conversation. The workmanship is good. If there are residual problems, he will come out and fix them free of charge. He is very nice and his service is excellent.
Description of Work: He is my plumber and he is independent plumber. I had to have a two toilets swapped out. They weren't flushing properly so they replaced the toilets. He has also replaced water heaters for me.

Description of Work: I have used Ike's Plumbing before and called him today when when my kitchen faucet broke. During a phone discussion, we determined that a new faucet was the best plan, and, at my request, Ike purchased a new faucet and then installed it. He called from the store to report on the price options before he purchased the faucet and we liked the one he picked very much. Ike is always efficient, professional, and as an added bonus, interesting to talk to.

+ -1 moreI had a leak; water was coming out from under the foundation between the two, back-to-back bathrooms. I checked Angie's List and Ike had the most good hits and was close to my location. He answered his phone, listened to me and recommended a specialist. He told me why I needed a specialist, whether or not to contact my insurance, and stayed in touch with me throughout the whole process! The specialist was wonderful, competent and did not overcharge. I love Ike - he didn't take my money when he could have! In my estimation he went way over and above to help me.
Description of Work: Ike walked me through the process of what I needed, which was not a plumber. I needed a leak detection expert.

+ -1 moreThe faucet had stuck so there was only cold water. The plumber new exactly what was wrong. The bath/shower was used too infrequently so a part inside the faucet froze. He was able to fix it in no time. He recommended we turn on the faucet once or twice a week to prevent the problem.

Description of Work: I had 2 outside faucets that were leaking and were soldered on and very old. Ike came out removed the old faucets and replaced them with screw on connections and added new faucets.

+ -1 moreJay came, and after raising an eyebrow at the mess under the sink, he went to work. He decided the best way to correct the problem was to run a new copper line to the dishwasher (in a standard size!) and then refit everything else to the main valve. He finished in about an hour and a half and even gave me some credit for the extra parts he removed (since they were practically new and he could use them someplace else).
Description of Work: A "friend of a friend who knows some plumbing" installed a new kitchen faucet for me. But my homebuilder had used non-standard fittings so the new faucet wouldn't connect properly, and now, neither would the dishwasher. The "friend" wound up jury-rigging all the fittings, but they leaked. So I called Ike's to fix it correctly.

Description of Work: I had a leak in the kitchen. They came out and diagnosed the leak was in the slab. They referred me to a leak detection company since that was not their expertise. In the meantime, they repaired the shut off valve on the hot water heater.

HE FIXED THE PROBLEM TEMPORARILY UNTIL HE WAS ABLE TO COME BACK AND FIX IT. WHEN HE DID RETURN WHICH WAS A MATTER OF DAYS. THE PROBLEM WAS RESOLVED. THE DRYWALL CUT IS BARELY DETECTABLE.
Description of Work: THE FAUCETS IN MY HOUSE WERE DRIPPING AND THE TUB FIXTURES WERE LEAKING IN BOTH BATHROOMS. IT WAS APPARENT THAT THEY WERE OVERDUE FOR REPLACEMENT. HOWEVER DUE TO THE TYPE OF FIXTURE THE BUILDER HAD INSTALLED IT WAS NECESSARY TO CUT INTO THE DRYWALL TO INSTALL THE NEW BATHTUB FIXTURES. THE JOB WAS SOME WHAT COMPLICATED.
