I'm very pleased with them. They were here yesterday for a short time. It would cost me about $7000. They have factually evaluated the situation and their information has been accurate. They've been here when they said they were going to be here. They are doing quality work. They have been courteous and informative. They are basically done when they said they are going to do so far. They have been no uncertain surprises and no change in the price. They've been just very good. The only thing that's been a hold up is the unusual rain that we've had. That is stopping the timely project but that is not their fault. They've been here right on time. They are done with what they said they are going to do and when they are going to do. They call in advance and let me know when they are coming. They've always been here when they said they are going to be. They answer questions. They cleaned up after themselves when they left. They've been really well. I've been very pleased.

They did a nice job. I was happy with the work they did. I had a prior dealing with them. They did an excellent job.

We have used a lot of contractors over the past few years. Burkett's is definitely the most professional in addressing the customer's needs. They have specialized teams that work very hard in each step of the process. Each team came in and explained what they were going to do. There were some minor issues that they took ownership for and went way beyond what any other contractor has ever done for us. From the salesman (Jeff), to the various teams that did the work we were extremely pleased with the result. The tile guys were especially awesome and spent a lot of time removing the old grout and replacing it with new mortar in the waterfall and edging rocks. The Altima finish that Jeff recommended to us is quite good and is very smooth which is something to consider if you spend more time standing in the pool or playing in it rather than just swimming. (We have some friends that used a competitor the year before and now their children wear aqua shoes to keep from hurting their feet.) We actually had 5 different bids in 2010 to do the work but due to other work that needed to be done, we put the pool work off until 2011. In that time we discovered that some of the companies we had bids with had cut staff due to the bad economy. Burkett's did not and will be around (in my opinion) for the long term. Even though their physical location is in Ripon, they actually service the entire state and more. I don't think I've ever experienced a more hard working crew than the teams at Burkett's.

Friendly salesman, Bill, who gave us his personal cell Phone for great communication. Good price & quality work. Original fiberglass construction was in poor shape, & roots were coming thru the plaster. It was a difficult project & had to correct a few installation problems but they always came back promptly to make things right and ensure our satisfaction. Highly recommended!!! Rick Bell

They were excellent so far. We have two little things left that need to be done, and were waiting to hear back from them. They are very professional and they do excellent work.

Burkett is the owner of the company. Overall, the service was excellent. They did what they said they were going to do. I had a few problems on the days it rained. It’s hard to do this kind of work when it’s raining. They got around those days and they came when they promised to come. The place was clean and neat when they finished the work. They didn’t come everyday. They had a gap between different processes. They had to replace the pool skimmer. Then they sprayed the bonding coat before they put the plaster on so that it sits better. Since it was raining, it took a week longer than they had expected. I started back in October with the request and then our neighbors were having something done and there was a lot of dust and stuff going on and I didn’t want to get the work done. Then we had the Christmas holidays, but they had quoted back in October and went forward and did it. I started contacting them in March sometime and got all the paper work signed. Everything worked out and I signed the contract. They actually came out and began the work in the beginning of April. By the end of April I had a re-plastered pool full of water. I didn’t do a whole lot of comparision and the recommendation came through from the local pool supplier. I went ahead relying on their recommendations. I also did some online evaluations on them. It looked like it was a reasonable price and for $10000 I would probably be looking at something else. It was a basic pool plastering worth $4000. I had some upgrades and one of them was replacing the skimmer because I had a major leak. It was leaking an inch of water a day which was unacceptable. They identified the locations for leak and it turned out that the pool skimmer had to be replaced. There was an internal leak too. That was an extra $2000 to do that which cranked up the cost more than just re-plastering straight away. Their re-plastering cost seemed to be comparable to others. I have no complaints and I was actually impressed with some of their work. They were very responsive. Every time I had a question and I gave a call, I would get a response back. There was a little bit of trouble on calling on my cell phone vs the home phone. They would call sometimes and when I wasn't available, I would get a call on my answering machine at home and by the time I would get home form work, they wouldn’t be available. They used to leave a massage and they’ll call me right away the next day. They were punctual. They came in early enough the day I was at home. They came when they promised. They were professional. I would use them again in the future if I have a similar situation.

The initial work was good although there was no communication between the sales guy and the project manager so a LOT of extra trenches were dug due to them not realizing the pool equipment was supposed to be relocated. Burkett's went great through the phases of relocating the pool equipment, installing return lines and replastering. They "finished" and asked for final payment. Once that was done, the service stopped cold. DO NOT PAY THEM UNTIL YOU ARE SATISFIED. My Polaris 280 pool sweep has NEVER worked and they keep telling me the rep for the pump company will call. The salesman won't return calls, the project manager won't return calls, the manager won't return calls and "Tim" swore he'd show up and fix the problem but never showed up. Whitney has tried to help, but must be helpless since the "Burkett's" are on vacation. This place came within 1 day of being excellent and they just won't finish the job. I have waited THREE MONTHS for them to fix my Polaris. It is ridiculous and Mr. Burkett should be ashamed at the service level of his company after I paid them $21,000.

We spent about $7,000 on the work. They were able to provide us with the best plan of what they were going to do and with the most clear cut design. They also provided us with the best price. They had a very professional crew and even employed multiple crews to do various aspects on the job. When I did have a problem, they sent another very professional person out to correct the problem and worked until I was totally satisfied.

There were some initial glitches at first. The glitches were just with getting the scheduled time to start. Once the process got started, everything went smoothly. (I was not home and they did manage to reschedule). I am satisfied with how everything looks. I think it is a better plaster job than what the original pool had. Everything looks very smooth. Everyone that worked on it knew what there role was and they were very proficient at doing it.

I WOULD TELL OTHERS TO DEFINITELY TALK TO THEM AND USE THEM. THEY ARE AN EXCELLENT COMPANY. THEIR WORK IS BEAUTIFUL. THEY ARE A LITTLE HIGHER PRICED, BUT THE QUALITY IS BETTER. I HAVE RECOMMENDED THEM TO OTHER PEOPLE.
