+ -1 moreDesert Garage Door arrived quickly,assessed the problem, and explained to me why the door failed The work to be performed was explained and I was walked through the process as the work was done. The employee was professional, friendly and had a great sense of humor. His sense of humor and easy communication made for a very pleasant experience. Work was performed timely allowing me to get over to pick up my son. The fact that this business arrived actually sooner than I had been told was a marked difference in response time from other businesses I have dealt with locally. No "maybe I could get there next week." Communication and performance were great.
Description of Work: My garage door sections came apart when I opened the door, preventing me from opening or closing it. I called Desert Garage Door and described the problem They were very understanding of the situation, and the fact I couldn't leave the house to pick up my son. I was told they could have someone to the house in about an hour. When the truck pulled into my drive way in just over 15 minutes, I was pleasantly surprised. Their employee assessed the problem, then explained what happened to cause the door to malfunction. He further explained what needed to be done to repair the door, and gave me an estimate. I accepted the estimate and gave him the go ahead. He realigned the panels and adjusted the tracks. he also replaced rollers which had become worn, that contributed to the door failing. All this was explained to me as the work was done. I asked him how much longer he felt my door would last, and how soon I should be considering a new door. His response was a smile, and he told me the door would last for many years. It may need adjustment again in the future but, I did not need another door. I asked if the bill needed to be adjusted since parts were replaced. He said no. The fact that he assisted me to move items to work on the door, and put them back was surprising. I very much appreciated that help.

+ -1 moreThey came out when we needed and there is nothing that we disliked about them. The quality of work was worth and it was good. I haven't compared their price with others so am not sure of it and I will use them again in the future.

+ 2 moreWe were out of town and got a call from the man who was painting the house that our garage door had a broken part and couldn't close. This was on a Friday--we called Desert Garage Door, and though their schedule was completely booked, they worked in an emergency visit and did not charge for the extra service. We were extremely grateful.
Description of Work: A wheel that is part of the auto garage door opener mechanism broke off. The part was replaced and the entrie mechanism checked out.
