+ -1 moreTold me on the phone that the project would cost $4000-$5000, which was less than other structural engineers I'd talked to. I agreed to a site visit that he wanted $600 for, thinking that the overall price was fair (for services relating to designing a new foundation) and I was probably going to go with him, hence it would be worth it. Unfortunately when i got his proposal for doing the work with his total fees, I found out it was more like $7000. Somehow he didn't find it necessary to mention that other $2000-$3000. He seemed very nice in person and I liked him, so I'm not sure if this was an error of omission or he was actually trying to take advantage of a lone female. I tend to think the former. Disappointed and out $600.

+ -1 moreHe's very, very thorough and his plans and such are really excellent. I didn't have any trouble with permits, I got them in just one day. He's very detail oriented. I've been working with him since September and I'm satisfied with his service.
