Paving Contractor

It went very well. The crew arrived on time and worked until 7 p.m. each day. However. there was a minor problem after the installation. Some pavers turned white. Jose was very responsive and remedied the problem very quickly. Jose was very cooperative and pleasant to work with. I would certainly recommend System Pavers mainly because of Jose.

In general they were great. They did put some equipment in the landscaping, so I would advise giving them a staging area. Left some sand on the garage floor. Showed up on time & finished entire driveway in 2 days!

They did a great job. They were very good and we are thinking about hiring them again. Their price was very reasonable. They did quality work and did a good job at cleaning up after themselves.

Jose was our contact and he was fantastic. This is the kind of service we would all like to have when dealing with a company. He always did what he said he was going to do, he was patient as we chose the pavers and design, he showed up for every appointment on time and he was extremely accommodating. If we wanted to change something he was very amenable and he did not nickle and dime us. We had 7 estimates and researched all kinds of ways to deal with our cracked, two level and old concrete patio. His estimate was not only the most reasonable in price, but he convinced us that our severe drainage problem could be fixed using his method. We were very worried about this aspect of the job, as water has pooled there for years, in spite of various efforts to fix it. Not only does it now look fabulous, but this week we have had our first rains (2-3 inches!) and there is not a drop of water pooling on the patio. We are very, very pleased with the work he did for us.

We found Federal Paving Systems and Jose Argueta through Angie's List. Jose was formerly with a different paving company in San Leandro, so some of his references were found there. Of the three bids we received, Federal was the best, so that, combined with excellent references here, gave Federal the job. Jose Argueta is the point man and Construction Manager for Federal. We have nothing but praise for his responsiveness and professionalism during this whole process. The job was completed over about four working days, and Jose was on site a good portion of the time directing the work of others, as well as cutting and laying pavers.

The company came over on a Saturday to bid for the job & were on site on Monday morning. The guys were really quick. We were told that they would be done on Saturday, but really they were 95% done by Thursday. It would have been helpful to speak Spanish to the workers, but not necessary. Jose (previously worked at Empire Paving Systems) did a great job leading the project, including drawing a picture for me to verify before any work was done. The job went very smoothly.
