Cruz Concrete

Nothing to tell. I waited for him and he never showed up! How rude!!!

At first was very nice and responsive. After paid, and bulk of job was done, had to call several times to get caps installed on drains; still don't have caps on drain outlets (2). Also, he didn't pay Robertson's Cement (cement company he used) as of late August (job completed in June), Robertson's filed and recorded a Mechanic's Lien against my property. Several attempts made to contact Robert Cruz and he said matter would be taken care of by paying account off or giving me a release of liability. Two months later, no release and his account at Robertson's not paid (I kept checking with Robertson's). Three months later, cement company is sending me letters that they could foreclose on my property (they have time limits after filing Mechanic's Lien). We decided that we would have to pay the cement company, then sue Cruz for reimbursement. I sent certified letter to Cruz, but he never accepted the letter. following Monday I called Robertson's to make arrangements to pay, and lo and behold, Cruz had paid account in full. Robertson's said they would file Release of Mechanic's Lien and send me copy. Never received any call or letter from Cruz apologizing for entire situation. Although the cost of the certified/return receipt letter I sent was under $12.00, for over 6 months I stressed about the whole matter. He had mostly good reviews, that's why I picked him, and he was local (I try to support local businesses), so I don't know what happened with him when I hired him. We paid on time when we were scheduled to and our checks didn't bounce. I worked hard to buy my home and save money to make improvements when I can. I can see why contractors have such a bad reputation after working with Cruz Concrete.

I had them out a couple of times since January this year and I had a good experience with him; I would use him again for sure. I think they do good work and it was a very fair price.
