Residential and Commercial electrical repairs, troubleshooting, new and old wiring. Service upgrades, new outlets, landscape and interior lighting. Home networking and security.
I have worked with Dan Filipi a number of times over several years. He is the proprietor of his own company. As a result, he is the electrician who does the actual work and he takes a great deal of pride in what he does. He also makes an effort to explain what he will need to do in order to solve your electrical problem and describes how he will do it. I have always appreciated his low-key manner and our direct, sincere and easy conversations before the job is begun. He has installed lighting fixtures for me, both interior and exterior. He has rewired complex interior lighting systems, reducing "electrical clutter" and making our lighting controls more streamlined and easier to operate. He was the electrical subcontractor for a small remodel we did of a basement room, in which he was required to design a florescent lighting plan and install several banks of lighting fixtures, first discussing the different products that were available and even doing a pre--test to make sure we would be happy with our choices. He has also installed s series of "picture lights" for us, requiring him to climb into the attic crawl space above our living room. His creative sense of what was needed and how to position the lights made the project a success. This creativity is something he brings to each job and makes me feel comfortable and confident when I am working with him. Dan's prices are not cheap, but they are fair. He brings special value to each project and I have always felt that I got my money's worth. While this current job of changing a light switch is something most electricians, and even a home handyman could probably do with equal ease, I called Dan because he has earned my trust and I am a loyal customer. If this sounds like a totally positive testimonial to Dan Filipi and his skill as an electrician, you are correct. It is. I've posted it as an act of generosity, not to Dan----but to all you Angies Listers out there, who may be in need of a fine electrician.
Description of Work: I needed to replace a "timer switch" with a simple "on-off" light switch. The timer switch had broken and would not turn off.
