Kent did an amazing job. He arranged and worked with an engineer to make sure the changes would bring the constructions to code. He worked hard to make sure the solutions were the best trade-offs in terms of cost and impact to finished construction. Our house sits on solid rock. The interior sheer wall required digging a 16 feet long, 12and quot; deep and 12and quot; wide trench in solid rock, and the workers had to use small electric jack hammers because of the limited space to move around. Then they built forms and installed re-bar reinforcement before pouring the concrete. This construction (the concrete wall, sheer boards and wall above that needed additional sheer strength) are not going anywhere! Kent and his team were a pleasure to work with. They were professional and competent. I will hire him again for future projects.

As owner-builders, we hired many different tradespeople and Kent Kaiser was the best to work with. Kent is a class act and true craftsman. His team is very skilled and he is one of the few people in this business with great integrity. There were a few additional costs but they were not caused by him; in fact he helped us solve some problems with the roof trusses that a less skilled contractor might have ignored and caused big problems later on. They framed the garage and the addition in about 5 days of work. If I were to owner-build again I would hire them if possible. I might also try to hire them for non-framing work if he is willing to do it under his general contractors' license.
