Excellent work - Geoff Van Maastricht at Water Heaters Only rerouted lines and installed water heater in a highly professional manner. You can tell from the quality of his work that he holds high standards for his own work. He arrived at the house very quickly after I called about the old water heater's failure, and he was back virtually exactly at the time he said he would be back with the new water heater to install it. He and the company deserve the top rating that they get on Angie's list.

Perfect. The control unit of the water heater had failed. Repair completed in 30 minutes. The repairman recognized what was wrong and had the parts to do the repair.

I received a call on the same day I purchased an inspection service through Angie's List. Appointment was set for next day, between 2 and 6 PM. I was expecting delay or no show just like many other services I experienced before. What a pleasant surprise! Service person, Beni, gave me a call way before 2 PM and said he is ready to inspect. Beni was friendly, polite, competent, and very professional. He inspected my old water heater, told me what's wrong, and recommended to replace the heater since mine was already 9 years old and leaking badly. He gave me an estimate on the spot, credited the amount I paid through Angie's List. Also, he contacted with his boss to make payment arrangement that helped me a great deal. Beni ordered a replacement water heater and while waiting for the new heater to arrive, he immediately started preparing removal of old heater in the very narrow and tight spot where my old heater sat. He did not say a single word of complaint while working in the challenging spece. Within an hour after Beni ordered a replacement heater, another person from Water Heaters Only (sorry, I forgot his name) showed up with a new heater and both he and Beni started removing the old one from very difficult place and placed a new one in the spot (with speed and utmost care). Beni then started working on setting up the new heater. All went so pleasantly and quickly. I think it took only 3 hours or so to remove and replace water heater. Water Heaters Only's price may not be the lowest, but it was well worth while spending a tiny extra to have REAL professional job. I will recommend Water Heaters Only to anyone and I will call them again when I need a new heater in the future. Thank you, Beni. New water heater is working very well.

I waited 2 days (without any hot water)and when they arrived, they refused to do the work and left.

John A. was prompt, he provided all relevant details that I required to make an informed decision about the installation of my new water heater. He removed the old water heater, which was a bit difficult as it was installed in a fairly narrow space. He installed the new water heater and braced it more securely than the previous water heater. He also replaced the gas and water valves so that they are now easier to open and close. He also installed a drain pan, which the previous water heater didn't have. Finally, John gave me necessary information I needed to operate and use my new water heater, such as setting the water temperature and what to do in the unlikely event of a leak.

Installation went fine. What had two 75 gallon water heaters. The installers fwelt we only needed one a the new ones are more effiecient. I noted to him and showed him the new very large bathtub we had installed as part of a remodel earlier in the year. He said the one tank was enough. The advice has proved to be incorrect as on the rare occasion I take a bath the water turns cold before the tub is full. It's close but I would have gladly paid for a 100 gallon tank. That's my only complaint. JH

Made the appointment with Nick. Alex was our installer. Very friendly, knowledgable and early to our appointment. Alex, explained everything in detail prior to installing the water heater. He inspected the old one and verified that it needed changing. He also noted that there was no drip pan, which was causing water to seep into the garage. The installation was about 2 hours. Upon inspection, the water heater looked new and brilliant. The entire water heater closet was cleaned up of all debris, old dust, etc. The earthquake straps were tighty and to my delight, Alex installed a drip pan, and channeled any overflow to outside of the house. The folks really know what they are doing. Every aspect and detail of water heater issues and solutions appear to be well in their background, they've seen the issues before, know how to attack new ones and have the expertise to do so. To say the least, I am very satisfied. I initially signed up for a water heater consultant recommended by a large home building warehouse company. When I spoke to them they quoted me $3000 because they have to go to the city, review all the codes to make sure the installation was correct. Surprised, I questioned the home building warehouse contractor about the water heater specifications. He started rambling and then I knew something was wrong. I'm glad we found you Water Heaters Only!!!

The technician Beni called me prior to the schedule time to inform me he was enroute and his estimated arrival time. Beni arrived on time. He described to me the replacement installation process he was going to perform. He clearly explained what he was going to do e.g. replace the hot and cold water supply lines, new T&P relief drainline, new gas valves and flex lines. The new water heater was installed and the old one hauled away. You could tell that the job was done by a professional who knew what he was doing. All the fittings, soldering, earthquake strapping, blocking etc were completed with a quality job in mind. Beni cleaned up after the install, so there was nothing for me to do except admire the job. I got the Angie's Big Deal,which meant I paid $150 and received a $300 credit towards the job.

I found out that I needed a new water heater altogether, so I had to cancel the deal. They answered all my questions and were very professional.

Called and got a next day appointment between 9-noon. Appointment maker made sure to get my contact information correctly. Steve, the technician, called at 9 saying that he would be at the house between 10-10:15. Wrote up an estimate, installed a new water heater and removed the old one in about an hour and a half. Steve was very professional and took the time to explain how he installed the new heater, how it worked, and answered all the questions I had. Great experience and highly recommend.

Job Name: Hoff Job Date: 8 March 2015 We called several water heater companies and there was a huge range of service fees. Many companies displayed a complete lack of professionalism, and could not provide many details as to the type of water heater they would install. Then... we called "Water Heaters Only", and immediately knew that this was company that we could work with. The gentleman at the call center was very detailed about the installation process and the type of heater that would be installed. We scheduled an appointment for the next day with a window of between 12-4PM. At 12PM technician John Aquirre called to say he'd be here in 1-1/2 hours. At 1:20 PM he stood outside and rang our door bell! Ten minutes early! John took the time to explain the installation process, and all the additional options that were available. I asked him how long he expected the installation to be and he said it would take about 2-1/2 to 3 hours. We don't know how he did it...but the old water heater was drained, removed, and the new one was perfectly installed in less than 2 hours! John gave us a detailed review of his work, did a final check of the project, cleaned up after himself, and completed the paperwork. John was enthusiastic. He was professional. He was fast! It was an absolute pleasure working with a company that lives up to its promise. We'll be happy to recommend, "Water Heaters Only" to friends, family and neighbors!

As you can tell from the ratings provided, I was very pleased with the service. A request for an appointment to replace the old heater could have been fulfilled the same day, if I were available. However, the next morning was more convenient for me. The specialist, whose name was Steve Burlison, called me in advance of of the appointment to let me know he was on his way. The window of time for the appointment was 10:00am to 1:00pm, but Steve arrived at my home by 10:20am. Once he arrived, Steve informed me that a low boy heater would be needed because of the space constraints for installing it in my garage. After he called his warehouse to have this type of unit delivered to my home, Steve took care of removing the old heater. The low boy was delivered very promptly and caused no delay in the installation phase of the task. The entire removal and replacement tasks were completed within a couple of hours. After doing an excellent job of cleaning up , Steve explained to me the features of the new heater, as well as the important safety considerations: the additional earthquake bracketing he had installed, the gas shut-off valves for the heater itself as well as for the connection to the furnace, and how to drain the heater if that became necessary. I was very impressed with Steve's professionalism. He explained the various tasks well, completed them very efficiently, and was very considerate in answering some basic questions I had about gas leaks. Steve was also very personable and came across as someone who not only enjoyed his job but also enjoyed the interaction with customers.

Was in need of a new hot water heater and called 3 different contractors. All three quoted a price of between 1100-1400 depending on what needed to be done. I decided to go with Water Heaters Only and the technician Alex showed up the next morning right on schedule. Alex was courteous and professional,he explained the installation process,the price and even helped me get a discount coupon through Angies list. On 2/17/15 I called Water Heaters Only to schedule a water heater replacement. Over the phone Water Heaters Only told me that the next available appointment was 2/19/15 from 3 to 7pm. I accepted the appointment and Water Heaters Only sent me an email confirming the appointment. On 2/19/15 I took time off work to be home for the appointment from 3-7pm. At 5:31pm on 2/19/15 Water Heaters Only called me and said the previous appointment had run long and that a crew would not be coming to my house that day. Water Heaters Only then informed me that they could do the job on 2/21/15 from 10a-1pm. Water Heaters Only also stated that by having the 10a-1pm appointment on Saturday, it would make me the first stop of the day which would prevent any schedule impact from a previous project. I accepted the appointment and re-arranged my schedule. At 12:09pm on 2/21/15 the Water Heaters Only Tech called me and informed me that the previous job had run long and that they wouldn?t be to my house until 1:30pm. I informed him that I was told I was the first appointment and he then explained that there was no previous job and that he had just been dispatched and that he had no idea why nobody had been sent to my house earlier. I declined the 1:30pm appointment as I had prior commitments that I could not rearrange for the third time. Very frustrating experience with Water Heaters Only. Water heaters Only failed to honor any of the scheduling commitments that they made.

I thought they were going to service the water heater but really what he did was give me a quote to replace the water heater. I expected more out of the deal. He did leave me a part and give me some advice to get the problem fixed but he seemed uninterested in the work.

Prior t installing, the installer came out for a free site visit. During the site visit he took note of all times that had to be considered in replacing the old water heater. Therefore the installers bid was fully itemized for what needed to be done, including building code upgrades. Installer emptied and remove the (E) water Heater, the installed a new water heater. Water heater was installed up to codes currently in force, including, among others, raised stand, type of ignition and safety features.

I was impressed with their quick response. Though I had managed to shut off the inflow, I had no idea what to do next. I worked on getting rid of the water (the wood flooring was ruined) while he took out and replaced the water heater. he also showed me what had caused the overflow pan to fail...a little piece of cardboard had gotten stuck in the overflow pan's drain! Lesson learned...I now check the overflow pan when i vacuum the downstairs.

Everything went very well. The project technician, Beni, was very punctual and very reliable. You can count on Water Heaters Only to do the job for you!

Excellent. Work done professionally and with care

I couldn't have been more pleased by the experience of having a new water heater installed by Beni. He was prompt, confident, experienced, and very pleasant. I felt fortunate that the whole process went so smoothly.

They were honest and said that they have trouble servicing Kenmore appliances and it takes two weeks to get parts. We ended up going with someone else.

Within an hour of finding out I had a leaking water heater on a Sunday night, I had an appointment scheduled with Water Heaters Only the next day. The office dispatcher was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and patient; I called a couple of times with questions re: make/model, gallon capacity (I knew my current one was only 30 gallons and wanted to upgrade); whether the water heater they supplied would qualify for a PG&E rebate (it did not, unfortunately). I was given a 3-hour window and was told that the installer would call 30 minutes before coming over. Steve B did just that and was very friendly and professional. He assessed the situation and advised that I'd be better off going with a short water heater since the vertical clearance would likely not be enough to pass SF city plumbing codes. But since he did not have that particular style in his van, he needed to drive to his supplier to pick one up and was happy to do so. It took about 90 minutes for Steve to complete the work once he returned, and so far, so good! The one area for improvement is if the company carried water heaters that qualify for PG&E rebates to give the homeowner more options.
