We were extremely pleased with Water Heaters Only. When our water heater was not working, they were able to respond in a very timely and efficient manner. The serviceman gave us the information we needed to make an educated decision. A replacement heater was installed quickly and professionally.

The repair person explained my installation options to me and proceeded to do the work that afternoon. Everything seemed to be done correctly and he cleaned up well after the work was done. The water heater works well.

I woke up this morning to a water alarm telling me there was water under my water heater, I called Water Heaters Only, they said they could come come over the next day. I scheduled the appointment. 15 minutes later they called me back and told me they could have someone over in about an hour, same day. Less than an hour later, someone was at my home. He was very professional, and even though the old water heater had apparently leaked water into the insulation jacket making it impossible to fully drain, and very messy to remove, the technician managed to remove it without making a mess. The installation of the new water heater was very professional, top quality work. The technician even went out of his way to tell me the old water heater was still in warranty (Home Depot's "best", warranted for 12 years, lasted 10, enough said) but I did not want to deal with Home Depot again, and I certainly did not want another of their "best" water heaters, so I asked him to replace the water heater for me. Replacment water heater is a high quality Rheem unit. I will be highly recommending Water Heaters Only to my family, friends, and neighbors, when their water heaters die.

We got off to a bad start. We scheduled a date and a time window within that date and the technician did not show. The management was clearly chagrined when I called to complain, and rescheduled with a guaranteed time instead of a window. On the second try, the technician showed up exactly on schedule and did the maintenance on the three units very quickly. One of the units is on the roof, and requires use of a ladder to access it. No problem. He had all of the equipment needed to drain and flush and clean a rooftop unit with about the same efficiency as the ground-level units.

My old water heater (12 years old) began to slow leak. So I shopped around for a replacement 40-50 gal water heater. Water Heaters Only were very thorough in explaining the product and process and made a competitive bid. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone. A+

We woke up to no hot water the Friday of a long holiday weekend. We logged onto Angie's List and thankfully, we found Water Heaters Only. The person we spoke with was knowledgeable, reassuring and scheduled us for that afternoon. Our designated technician, Toa Tau, arrived within the promised window, assessed the situation and provided a complete and competitive estimate. which included not only replacing the heater itself, but also replacing/upgrading 50 year-old connections. We signed; he began work promptly. His work was meticulous; he was terrific. Within 12 hours of our initial discovery, his van was pulling away, with a terrific job well done - and full hot water supply 30 minutes later. We would HIGHLY recommend Water Heaters Only and Toa.

We had used this company 21 years ago and we happy at that time. Checked their current rating. They came out the same day called and within the time frame given. Mechanic Chris was very pleasant and professional. Did replacement in a timely manner and answered our questions. I was very pleased to see that the company has kept their high standards.

oot on the propertIf only every contractor could be like this. I called yesterday to ask about getting a new water heater installed (our old one was over 20 years old and was slowing down). The man who answered the phone asked me a few questions and, based on what I told him, said the cost would be somewhere between $1,100 and $1,400. He asked if I was free the next day, I said yes, and exactly at the time we set the appointment for, the very nice and professional plumber Steve arrived to replace my water heater. He gave me the exact price before he started, $1,344, and when I agreed to that, he went about doing the work. There was some extra plumbing involved because the previous unit had not been installed properly. Also, some seismic bracing (both wood and metal) had to be installed, so this added a little what would have been an even lower cost. The new copper pipe and insulation looks great, the heater is braced securely, and Steve was even nice about my two crazy dogs who didn't exactly make his job any easier. He took the old water heater away, made sure everything was working properly, cleaned up nicely, and literally within a couple of hours from the time he set foot on the property, we were back up and running with new hot water. Excellent, excellent, excellent.

I found them to be professional and helpful on the phone, but the price point is way out of my budget (and approx 8x what I spent 10 years ago).

First I went to Home Depot and was totally stumped as to what would work and what would not. I checked Angie's list and selected this company based on location and reviews. The person on the phone was quite helpful and explained some of my options. He sent someone out within a few hours. Chris, the individual who showed up, was very knowledgeable about what would work in the location I had and what my options were from an energy standpoint. We settled on the model I wanted, he checked availability, and let me know right away that the model was not in stock but that he could have it to me the next day. I didn't need it that soon so we picked a convenient day, he came within a few hours of what he originally proposed (I was not desperate; others probably were), and did a beautiful job. Everything is ship-shape!

Our old water heater sprung a leak. I called Water Heaters Only-Bay Area in the night, after reading Angie's list reviews. They set up an appointment the next day. The service person was very professional and prompt. Did a great job. cleaned up after the job. Explained pros and cons of using 40 Gallon Vs 50 Gallon. I went with the 50 gallon one.

I received a panic phone call from my neighbor that my water heater maybe leaking into her place. I rushed home and it was leaking. I live in a condo and it had leaked down into her water heater closest and her coat closest, her carpet was really wet. I turned the water off to stop the leak and began the search for a company to come out and replace the water heater. It was 6PM at this point. I found WHO online, read the reviews and gave them a call. I spoke with Paul and he checked with one of his technicians who was able to come by when he finished another job. Kevin showed up, assessed the job, gave me a price and started the job of removing the old water heater. It was late at this point and Kevin was worried about the noise to my neighbors so he was going to get as much done as he could then come back the next day and finish putting the water in. Because of my work schedule he went ahead and put my heater in so I could stick to my schedule AND so I would have hot water. He finished at 1AM. He only had to come back early the next morning to put the drain line in. I would like to say at this point that Kevin's day starts at 12noon and ends at 8PM but he stayed not only to get me hot water but came back early the next morning to put in the drain line so my work schedule wouldn't be disrupted. I can't say enough how appreciative I was for him going out of his way to accommodate me. Kevin was great, very personable, laid down a tarp to protect my floor and left the area very clean. I would use WHO again and definitely recommend the company and Kevin to friends, neighbors and everyone who needs a new water heater.

Water Heaters Only-Bay Area were very good. I didn't find anything to dislike. The guy had a water heater on hand. He came in to look, had us choose one, and then installed it. He was really quick, very friendly, fast, and had lots of good advice about the water softener and water filtration systems. It was very educational.

Had used them several decades ago. At that time was pleased with service and price. Because of that previous experience I didn't bother checking around and wound up paying an exorbitant price because I didn't want to go another day without hot water. They did arrive on time and did an excellent job of installation.

The service person (Kevin) did a thorough job of checking out our system to ensure that he knew what was wrong before he proposed replacing the valve. I asked questions about proposed solutions to this, that I'd seen on the web; he did not look down his nose at me, but discussed the various issues which can cause a stuck T&P valve, and showed me (on *my* old valve) why they wouldn't have worked in this case. Thus, I have a great deal of confidence in the work he did, and the necessity of it. Another issue that had come up was, when I talked to the dispatcher on the phone, they immediately started recommending replacing the entire furnace... I've come to see that as a warning sign, based on other companies that I've dealt with during my home ownership (over 16 years). So, I discussed the issue with Kevin, and he clarified this issue for me. He said that, on average, water heaters (even highly rated ones like ours) only last 10 years on average, so they usually recommend replacement after ten years, rather than repairs that run a significant percentage of the replacement cost. He told me that the dispatcher should not have been insistent on the issue though, and indeed, the dispatcher was *not* insistent; once I resisted, he dropped the subject and just scheduled Kevin's visit. Overall, I have alot of confidence in this experience, and would certainly do business with this company again!

It went perfectly. They showed up on time, were courteous and took their time assessing and explaining the work to be completed. They cleaned everything up at the end and the system is working perfectly.

Excellent. Very pleased. They were careful on how the moved the tank in and out of the house. Laid down tarps. Total pros!

They are fast and responsive to all forms of communication. They also called to inform me that the professional installer would be arriving shortly. Chris, my installer, came out to take a look at the water heater that I wanted to replace. He gave me a quote for the job and I agree and he installed it immediately! They come prepared. It just doesn't get any better than that. He was extremely professional, efficient, knowledgeable, and took real pride in his work. He checked his work multiple times and just before he left as well. He was also very personable, really nice man, and even gave me some good advice on another concern I had with my home. He also cleaned up before he left. Service is impeccable and I would highly recommend Chris and the company. You won't be disappointed!

We had a great experience with Paul and his team. Made initial contact late evening, and Matt showed up bright and early the next day. He walked us through our options, gave some great tips, and did an artisan like install. We were very happy with the service and the overall experience. Absolutely awesome start to finish. I called yesterday, they came today, exactly on time. They did the work for exactly the price quoted, cleaned everything up and finished quite quickly (no trips to pick up supplies they didn't have). I couldn't have been happier with them

Great experience. When our water tank corroded, they offered 2 options (replacing the tank or switching to tankless), explained options, gave very fair pricing for both (I checked with competitors), and did a great job. Luigi was our technician and I highly recommend his work!

We had a tankless hot water heater that went south and couldn't be repaired. Kevin from Water Heaters Only came to give an estimate on replacement with a similar unit. When he provided the estimate (which was lower than anyone else's), he also suggested that we should look at a high-efficiency tanked hot water heater. He explained that the unit he was suggesting was more energy efficient than the tankless units we were looking at and that installation would be quite a bit less expensive because the tankless heater because the tankless heaters have special venting requirements in order to be up to code -- and because we would need to upgrade the gas capacity due to the high BTU needs. I was skeptical but talked to another plumber who gets stellar reviews here, and he agreed with everything that Kevin had told me. And, he also said that he couldn't compete on the price for that water heater. After thinking about it, we went with Water Heaters Only. The installer called at 8:30 am to explain that they were running late (they were supposed to start at 9 am) and wouldn't be able to start until after noon. We were worried because even though there were mostly good reviews, one person complained about scheduling problems. However, they showed up at noon and went right to work -- and stayed until they were done. They didn't rush and do a shoddy job. The installation was done beautifully with really nice craftsmanship, and they worked hard and late on an unseasonly hot day in order to make sure that we would have hot water the next day. I was really impressed. There are several different crews. I can't vouch for them all. I was really happy with the the crew that we got.
