Description of Work: Major pruning of several trees and clean up. Everyone showed up on-time and got the job done quickly. All leaves and branches were removed so I could just begin enjoying the backyard again. Care was taken to make the trees look good within themselves and with the surrounding trees along with accomplishing my pruning objectives. This is the second time I have used Johnson and would recommend them. They are very efficient with their estimate, invoice and payment process as well.

Description of Work: they gave me an estimate of $500.00 dollars to remove tree and grind stump and out linersw. they removed tree but after an attewmpt to remove the stup with a pick and axe they said they underestimated the job. I agreed to give them an additional $150. dollkars eventhough i had a wrtten contract for the original estimate if they would come the next day and remove not only the original tree root but four (4) others and the attached outliners. They never showed up. I wrote a nice letter to the owner and made several calls to no avail. I finally had to get an othere tree sevice to finsh thie jobv.

Description of Work: I contacted Johnson's Tree Service of Sunnyvale, CA to request a bid to remove a dead tree. My phone call was quickly returned and the estimator arrived in a timely manner. After negotiating a price, he said that he could have a crew at my home on Saturday between noon and 2 p.m. I gave him both my home and cell phone numbers. Saturday came, and went, with no contact of any type from the company. Late that afternoon, I e-mailed the company requesting a reason for the lack of contact/service, and indicated that I would not be available until the following Friday. The estimator did contact me stating that he had misplaced my phone numbers, and that his office had given him an incorrect number. When I returned, I found an e-mail from Henry Vargas. He stated that "due to the stormy weather that day, they had to delay or postpone several projects" (my records show that the afternoon rain fall was 0.18 inches), and asked if I would call him. I returned his call, to the number he provided, but he said that he was out of the office at this time> He asked if I would give them a second chance, and I agreed. He further stated that he would check into everything, and get back to me on Monday to set up another appointment. Monday came, and Monday went, and once again no contact from anyone. My next phone call will be to different tree service company.

Description of Work: Henry came out for an estimate on a Friday. He was very friendly & worked very quickly to assess our tree removal requests. From just meeting him, I expected we'd likely employ them to do the work-- so long as the estimate was reasonable. Unfortunately we never received an estimate. I called the following Wednesday & left a message to check the status of the estimate & mention the Angies's list coupon we had. Didn't ever here back, so we hired someone else to do the job.

Description of Work: I sent out a request for quote to several companies and Henry at Johnson's was kind enough to contact me and let me know that they could give me a quote but it would be higher than another company closer to my home. Johnson's is in Sunnyvale and I'm located in Antioch, using Angie's List quote doesn't show location so I just clicked on the 5 it allowed me. I'm writing this because Henry went above and beyond instead of just ignoring my request. Thanks Henry, keep up the great work!

Description of Work: We hired Johnson's Tree Service to cut down a very tall Redwood Tree in our backyard in Palo Alto. After receiving A permit from The City we choose Johnson's by the responses on Angie's and the very fair price we received from their estimator Violet Luna. They arrived on time with the crew and equipment and had the job completed in 1 1/2 days. They performed every aspect of the the job according to the estimate. It was a pleasure to work with such friendly and professional people. We would hire them again and have already recommended another client to them and that job has been completed as well.

Description of Work: We have a very large camphor tree in the back yard that needed trimming and cutting of some large branches without harming the tree. Kevin gave us the estimate and advised us on which large branches to cut; he was friendly and knowledgeable. He returned on the service date with Humberto, the lead man, and 3 other men. With our consent, Kevin described the cutting of branches and thinning of rest of the tree. The work was done in about an hour; Humberto consulted with us several times to make sure they were doing what we wanted; that was greatly appreciated! They did a nice job cleaning up. Kevin returned to make sure the job was done correctly. The tree looks great and we are very pleased with Johnson Tree Service and will use them again in the future.

Description of Work: This company trimmed up two trees in my yard. Everything turned out great with this company. Two of my neighbor saw the work and they had them do some tree work themselves! They said they would call back to take care of my redwood tree in the backyard but I did not hear form them. I wouldn't be surprised that they are very very busy. They deserve top rating at least from me!.

Description of Work: The contact person was fantastic. He gave an estimate for what we wanted done (trimming trees and bushes) and we talked about future work. He and his workers came when expected and did a super job. We were very pleased. They left things clean and ready for a party we were having later in the month. I would use them again.
