We called Johnson Tree Service and Peggy Johnson came with an estimator promptly. We received a very reasonable quote and they started the job on-time as promised. The workers are very professional, cheerful and competent. They took down the giant Oak covering the house in record time. Each piece is hand carried, very carefully down the deck to be shredded. Originally we were very stressed over this job since so many things can go wrong, but Peggy and her crew made it seem so effortless. Each day they cleaned up the debris and left the job site in a usable conditions. We are just super impressed by the crew and we can't say enough good things about our experience. Yes, from this glow review it may seem like we are related to the Johnson's...But no we are not, and they are really that good. We would recommend them to anyone who needs trees good, big job or small.

The folks from Johnson's came on very short notice (less than 24 hours) and cleared our yard of debris and removed the stump. Original call was at 4:30pm on a Tuesday, estimate was given at 11am Wednesday, stump-grinding at 1pm Weds., and brush removal occurred from 5-6:30pm Weds. Lightning fast! Our yard was left very clean and we have no complaints at all.

Excellent. Due to the size of the tree, I called several tree service companies to get estimates. Scott Johnson called me back and came over to give an estimate right away. His quote was competitive and he went out of his way to find a firewood guy to see if they would buy any of the wood (they did not). Even though there were other similar quotes from companies that I knew could do the job, Scott was the only one that went after my business - without being pushy or aggressive, and I liked that. It took 4 days to take our beloved tree down and everything was done piece by piece (no cranes or anything like that). Just about 5 guys and one tree climber and lots of chainsaws. They cut up the wood and carry each single, incredibly heavy piece on their backs out to the chipper in front of the house. They were fast, careful, and cleaned everything up very well at the end. All in all, I am very happy that I chose them and wouldn't hesitate to call them up again for any future tree service needs.

They showed up Monday to have a look and provide an estimate. Were back the next morning (a little late). They got the job done on time and carted away every last twig. The tree looks great, exactly what we were hoping for.

It went perfectly. I called and left a message. Scott Johnson returned my call within a couple of hours and came by in the early evening to inspect the tree. He quoted a price and we agreed on a handshake. The crew handled the trimming the following Monday, exactly as expected, did expert work and thoroughly cleaned the area. Scott Johnson stopped by personally to see if I was satisfied and to deliver the invoice.

When I phoned Johnson's to schedule an initial site visit, Scott Johnson asked if he could come over in 20 minutes. Okay! This was a tricky, dangerous job, removing a huge tree sandwiched in a narrow area between our house and the power lines, but Scott was undaunted. After comparing 3 or 4 bids on the job, we hired Scott to do the job. We originally thought we'd have to get PG&E to de-energize the high voltage lines. This proved problematic, as all we got from PG&E were delays and notice of a $4000 charge for this service. No thanks. At this point, Scott returned with some of his crew, who decided they could... very carefully... work around the insulated but live high voltage lines. Over a period of 3 days, in 95 degree heat, Scott's crew dismantled and removed one entire tree and severely pruned another. They hauled away all the debris, and, to our surprise and delight, even went up on our roof with leaf blowers to clean off what had fallen there. We have a Spanish-style orange tile roof, and the crew managed not to break any of the tiles (confirmed by a subsequent roof climb by a window washer to clean our skylight). Bottom line: Johnson's Tree Service did a great job in a speedy and tidy fashion.

The owner came as scheduled to look at the job and bid it. Work began as agreed and finished in a timely manner.

They were very professional, they did everything on time as promised. I would recommend them to others and I would use them again.

THESE ARE EXCELLENT TREE TRIMMERS, HARD WORKERS. DID A GREAT JOB. THE TREES LOOK GREAT, AND WE WILL USE THEM AGAIN IN THE FUTURE.

I have used them the last three years. They clean up after themselves. Very happy with their service they are fully insured and they have there contractors license.
